Ask for a receipt when shopping at this AMPM!!!! This business is illegally requiring a 5 dollar minimum when making purchases on your debit card, not only that but they are secretly adding items to your purchase if it's under 5 dollars!!! For anyone unaware businesses are not allowed to require minimum purchase amounts when using your visa debit card for transactions. It goes against the agreement they made with Visa when they agreed to accept the card, and as a result they could get in trouble and lose their ability to use Visa. Wow, it's not often you come across a business with far more one star reviews than anything higher. It's no surprise, though. In addition to needing a Haz-Mat suit before entering the bathrooms (as indicated by other posters) at the Arco station on Green Valley Rd., they appear to be DISHONEST cheats as well. Unable to find a working windshield cleaner squeegee among the tubs of filthy water, (some didn't even have squeegees attached to the wooden handle . . . just the sponge part) I ended up wiping off my windows with paper towels (very surprising they had those). Anyway, I was pissed-off and distracted by this when I drove away without putting the pump hose back in the pump. (Obviously, that's on me) The hose, lying on the ground looked fine, as did the pump itself. I went into the store and gave them my license and information to copy. They called me a week later to say that I owed them a little over $200 for repairs. I had since read that because this is a common mishap, modern gas pumps are designed to easily detach and reattach to the gas pump. No new parts are needed and it takes about a minute. This makes sense because I drove by the station the day after my mistake and, by all appearances, the pump looked to be fully operational. I dropped off a check for $219 dollars a few days after hearing from them. With my check was a note, asking that they text me a picture of the invoice for the parts and labor they supposedly paid for. Guess what? I never heard from them again. Needless to say, neither I, nor anyone I share this story with, will ever buy anything again from this horribly managed, rip-off of a gas station. Not a thimble of gas, not a bag of Doritos, not a pack of smokes, etc. . . . nothing, ever again. Robbing your customers is very stupid and just short-term thinking greed. In the long-run, if you're gonna be a lying thieving gas station owner, you'll end up losing more money (from lost business) than you'll ever be able to steal. And so, for $200 bucks you've earned this kind of review, living on Yelp forever. There are a number of gas stations, with better prices, just a couple of blocks away on Freedom Blvd. If you must use this place, pay cash. God knows what they might do with your credit card information. p.s. I really hate giving you guys any ideas on how to get better at defrauding your customers, but, you could have just printed up a fake invoice and texted me a picture of it. You might want to think about replacing whatever half-wit criminal mastermind you use. read more

So I know many people go to AmPM on green valley road in Watsonville. But after last night I will NEVER go back! I went in to the store and the man working tells me pull up your shirt. I said huh . He then says your shirt is too low you should really pull it up I said no my shirt is just fine. After he reaches over the counter to pull it up him self I grab his hand and don't touch me. Then he pulled his hand away and took my keys off the counter. I had to ask this man 3 times for my keys. Final he gave them back. I left them thought what the fuck was his name well he had no name tag on. This happened at 12am. I will never go back to this place even for gas if it just out side. I did go talk to the cop but they both said there is really nothing they can do.But I do believe the cops did go talk to this man about it. Sadly, I have to warn you all...I bought a car wash and drove over to find that it was out of service. I went inside and they told me to come back another day. I did and it was out of service again. I don't come through often but returned again today to find that they refused to honor the car wash I bought. They tell me now, after telling me to just come back another time, that I w have gotten a refund. Well, that's nice but now they won't even offer a refund or a replacement code. Bad local business..:not sure how they'd feel if the roles were reversed; I paid for a service, they couldn't fulfill, time and time again, and now won't refund or offer a new code. Not cool. This morning I stopped to get coffee as I do every morning. Today the have put all the coffee cups behind the counter and are now serving the coffee to you. I know this is another precaution for the Covid-19 pandemic, but I like to pour and mix my own coffee. Everyone does their coffee different. They have already stopped me from bringing my own cup so I am paying 75 cents more per cup everyday and now I cant even make my morning coffee concoction. So please AM/PM can you please just hand us the cups if you don't want us touching all of them and we can proceed to pour and mix up our own coffee's. Went there 08/21/18 and after wash had scratches in 2 places that you can tell were from the brushes that whip violently against the car to clean it, well it clean the paint right off. The store itself is nice, good selection of items. My complaint is more about the workers there. I used to frequent this place a lot but always received the same rude and unfriendly service. None of them ever smile or treat people politely. Same people have been working there for years, go in the mid morning/afternoons and you'll see what I mean!! They tend to have lines but only one register running at a time and don't even get me started on the car wash!! The owners are more interested in making money than being civilized! I have nothing but great things to say about the graveyard shift cashiers, they really are "Superheroes". Store is clean and well stocked, and I love their coffee selection. False advertisement. And charging for undelivered services. I go here 4 times out of the week because it's convienient. Mostly on weekends. I've been less and less satisfied. There false advertisement hasn't been a big deal for me being that every weekend I go for a soda and there sign says 79 cents on weekends for soda but they ALWAY charge regular price. (Except 1 time out of over 50) However beyond there false advertising they've also charged me for services they could not deliver. I paid for a car wash there (Not the cheap one either. ) and as I went through not a single sud was on my car. It was only water. It's winter and raining. All I have to do is drive if I want water on my car. Unfortunately I did not have time to go back in as I was running late for work but when I contacted ampm costumer service they only replied that the store was independently operated and they'd forward the message. No one ever got back to me. There lack of soap in the wash and there false advertisement and poor customer Service has me questioning there ability to "independently" run their store. read more
