The worst gas station I've ever been to, unfortunately it's on my way from work. The pumps are not maintained-- I have issues with them taking cards, I sometimes have to move my car to a different pump to make it work at all and the receipt printers are either broken or have no paper-- at this point I am shocked when I'm able to get one. The last straw was when a pump I pulled up at said to "remove card" even though I haven't put one it and would not work. I decide to go inside to have someone actually fix the problem for once because all the other pumps were taken. The employee had the audacity to tell me that ARCO does NOT take credits cards at the pumps--- so what have I been paying with for years and more importantly, where did they fine this highly trained and knowledgeable individual?!? read more

The old lady with the busted knee is an asshole. I asked for $40 cash back and she grabs all $5's and counts them out to $40 and as I'm asking her if she's got larger bills, which I can see them in the register over the counter, she continues to count, shake her head no and ignore me, then continues to lie and says she only has ones. I can literally see them. Then has the nerve to ask if I want 1's. And I'm also sure she was barefoot inside the store. What a miserable woman. read more

You'd never catch me pumping gas at an ARCO unless It's a rental lol I had came here to buy some random snacks and water as the weather has been ridiculously hot in this beautiful fall season. This review is to the really nice cashier Chhany. She was very welcoming when I came and me being the person I am, I like to joke around as if the world is ending. And she played along to my weird sense of humor. I like people who are able to make you feel comfortable. Anyways she offered fast and courteous service which you wouldn't expect from your gas station clerk. If I were to ever poison my car and feed it ARCO, it would be this location. read more

Don't mind the 1-star reviews. This is a great gas station. They don't take credit cards because no Arco does. That's how they keep prices down. If you don't know that, that's not the station's fault and not a good enough reason to downgrade them. Some people behind the counter are friendlier than others...but they work at a gas station. That's not in anyone's life plan. Cut them some slack. To review the actual STATION, I always find it clean, love that the pumps take apple pay, and never have any problems. I think their hot dogs look questionable but I'd never eat a hot dog from a gas station anyway. Good snacks and drinks though. read more

I like this Arco Station. The prices are the best around. And at 14.8 MPG who wants to drive around looking for cheap gas?? I don't have to go inside often, and now they got NEW debit card machines on the pumps, I have only been in once for the facilities. That happened tonight. The attendant was pleasant. The restroom was clean and they offered me free coffee because I bought more than 25 bucks. It was 57 so does that mean I get two? The owner of this station needs to pay attention to its hires. The new super chubby white girl gives horrible customer service and is always distracted. Today was it for me. When I complained that she let someone cut me off when I was clearly in line she decided to slow all the way down and even help someone else with cups, took a sip of her energy drink and put her phone to charge before attending me. I am now having a rough day because for the first rime in my life I go to a gas station when im out of gas...that does not accept CREDIT! I left my debit at home and all I had was my credit... Sorry excuse for customer service. My sister and I stopped for gas about 10 min ago. We were at number 10 when it ran out of gas at a little less than five dollars. My sister moved up a space and the machine on 8 froze. I went inside to let the teller know in which she said that my sister had to pay inside. We went inside and asked to get the 35 cent fee removed since my sister already paid it and if the gas wouldn't have ran out we wouldn't have had to move up. She never had eye contact and gave us attitude and said she could not do anything because every time you swipe it's a 35 cent fee. Clearly ridiculous when we aren't the ones who purposely chose to move. And she yelled at us that it wasn't her problem. She works there which kinda of does make it her problem. It's really sad when we've always gone to arco and never received such poor service at any other location. read more

I had waited in line not realizing I had left my card in my car so when I told the attendant to give me a second and when I got back the line was longer and she told me that I needed to wait in line again because everyone else was waiting. I asked her even if I waited in line already and didn't realize I didn't have my money with me and she just stared at me like I was trying to steal something so I left angry. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I work in the area therefore 90% of the time I put gas in Downey, at various Arco locations. I don't really come to this particular location just because it's kinda cramped, and usually packed when I need to fill up. I stopped by this afternoon to fill up since I was on E and kinda had no choice but to stop. Upon pulling up to the pump, I went inside to pay. The cashier that was helping me was an older Armenian lady by the name of "Salwa"?. I tried paying using my debt card to pump gas, she insisted that the transaction was declined which made no sense since I had more money in my account than what I was trying to pay. She ended up voiding the whole transaction even though the money was taken out of my account. She was extremely rude when I tried asking to speak to her manager. She refused to give me his contact information, or name at that. I told her that I wasn't leaving unless I spoke to her boss. 30-45 minutes later, her boss calls her and reluctantly she hands me her phone. He was very helpful, and attentive to my concerns. His name was David btw. He gladly gave me his contact number and informed me that situation would be probably handled. Salwa didn't seem too pleased by the outcome for whatever reason and continued to give me attitude, along with her poor co worker Sonia who might I add tried to help me. Never going there again, I already warned my family members of this place. read more
