My parents were able to go look at it and talk to a rep on a Tuesday, and scheduled an appointment with them for Thursday at 2 for a test drive. I took the day off work to come up from Everett and stay at my parents so we could go to this appointment. The morning of the appointment, the rep texted my mom saying they had sold the car that morning. While I understand the power of money in the hand when someone makes an offer, I also question this businesses customer service and integrity. They did not call us to see if we were still interested as we had viewed it first and made an appointment (which would have likely been a sale). The fact we had taken our time to talk to the rep, make an appointment (that wasnt honored), and were then shown little courtesy or care, is extremely bad business. It is even worse that I wasted a day off work for what we thought was a set appointment. I would not trust this business again as they obviously care more about a dollar being waved in their face than they do about the integrity of customer connection or commitment to their appointments.

I chose a black exterior, same trim level in every other regard, and somehow that jumped the cost by $2,100. They claim it's floor plan financing policy, which may well be true. But why make that a ready-to-pay customer's problem? They lost the sale of two cars and two customers permanently over 2 grand with classic bullying sales garbage. I have no issue with Donny, he was helpful and kind, and we've all gotta eat. Even I've worked for a performative middle-management scumbag in a bow tie! Still, with Donny being the one positive, this place proved itself entirely untrustworthy, and I'm genuinely puzzled why the Costco program supports them. Mudslinging on social media makes me awful, but this placed earned it. The nearby Honda and Toyota lots, owned by a different family, treated us significantly better, so go there instead. Honestly, if one of them had the PHEV I wanted, I'd pay them the $2,100 difference in cash just to spite Rairdon's.

The gas station is easy to find and not too far off the path from Highway 20. There are only a few pumping stalls and the station can fill up quickly. One of the neat surprises for us was that this gas station is setup similar to gas stations of yore. A worker comes out and pumps the gas for you instead of us pumping it ourselves. On display they had various antique gas station parts including a vintage gas pump. The attendant pumping the gas was friendly and warm. The experience spurred conversation between my mom and I as we drove home about how gas stations have changed. Turns out decades ago it was commonplace to have people pump your gas for you and clean your windshields as you waited. This Chevron is a reminder that not all gas stations have been sucked into mainstream tendencies. A gem of a place to fuel up!
