Came here to gas up my wife's van and get a quick carwash. I haven't been here in quite some time. I didn't know they had a new carwash setup until I pulled up. Great gas prices is what drew me in, the carwash was an extra. My wife's van was really dirty outside. I had done a quick interior detail before I went to the station. I just hated to spiff up the outside next. I selected the mid level "Top Dog" wash. I did not realize the service it came with. I was honestly blown away for the price. Right as I entered the code to enter, the gentleman waved me to pull forward. Then he pre-sprayed the van all over with a powerful pressure washer. And he scrubbed the windows etc. As he motioned me to pull in, he continued working the exterior. You then put your vehicle in neutral and it takes you through the rest of the wash. It uses the fabric rag style spinners, not heavy brushes that scratch things up real bad. It does a great job of washing. As you exit it has several strong blow dryers to blast your vehicle dry. Then the worker motioned me to pull out and stop. He then proceeded to wipe down and finish drying off the van. Again, I was not expecting this. I just thought it was like the old style wash that was there prior. I should have read everything over when I selected it. I gave him a tip before pulling off. All in all I was super impressed. And for the price it's hard to beat. I pay a few dollars less for a basic drive through wash at the Chevron. This blows that away for a few dollars more. Definitely coming back for gas and a car wash. read more

Just tried the new BUDDY'S car wash that has been built on site, used to use the old car wash as they always provided a good drier and then additional service of clean cloths to dry down. This new car wash is very good and I was lucky enough to meet the supervisor there who was so personable, friendly and very helpful. He sprayed the glass first and rubbed off the residual garbage before I entered the car wash. Advised me to bring in the wing mirrors before hand. Went for the middle option at $16.99 and it was very impressive my car is very clean. I then used the complimentary vacuums that have fabulous suction for those tough, and plentiful drop of the food items and dirt my little one carries into the back seat off her boots and shoes. The chap helped me wipe down the exterior and vacuumed the other side of my vehicle when I was doing the drivers side. Really soft cloths rotate to clean the exterior. Tipped the chap for being so helpful and courteous and genuine. Highly recommend this place, he also told me that by next year they will be offering a full service vehicle cleaning service where they do all the cleaning inside and out read more

Every time I go, the car wash gets better and better. Yesterday, the attendant helped with every aspect, from setting up payment to pre wash and tire cleaning. I drove away with my car looking like new! I recommend them; it's well worth the delight at least once a month ! read more

Stopped here for gas, a Monster, and an Almond Joy. The staff was friendly and professional. I got a car wash as well. I was surprised to see that they had someone there to presoak the car and dry it. The store was also really clean. I highly recommend this Arco. read more

They have organic coffee for only $2!! Gloves for pumping gas! And lots of space and an amazing car wash that is being renovated! The gas prices are competitive and the neighborhood is safer than Lone Tree . read more

I frequent this gas station and mart due to close proximity to my house and good gas prices. I stop here before work to get coffee and occasionally grab a hot breakfast sandwich. I love their variety of different drinks, snacks, etc. I stopped this morning on the way for my usual. The woman behind the counter is def my fav employee. Always personable and more than pleasant. Unfortunately, I ended up with the the longest, curliest, hair cooked all throughout my sausage sandwich. I attempted to call the store first to let them know... but, the phone number isn't direct. read more

I went inside to purchase gas with my debit card. During transaction it asks do you want cash back? I pressed 'yes' and the amount. After the transaction was completing the clerk said i can only get cash back if I purchase something from the store and then it would have to be a separate transaction. There is no sign at the register to let you know. Gas is a purchase! If you cannot get cash with a gas purchase, then put up a sign! I ended up having to do the transaction over again and press 'no' at the cash back option. read more

I come to this Arco gas station because it's on my way to/from certain places. I like this Arco because I feel SAFE here, it's in a good neighborhood, and I really try to avoid getting gas in Antioch or Pittsburg because it's just getting too rampant with crime in those areas, or there are homeless people camped out by a lot of gas stations there. I came in to fill up my car last week. I went inside to pay. It was fairly busy around 5:00 pm and RONY and BALDEV were behind the counter, working the cash register. It was a pleasant, fine transaction and Baldev was friendly and smiling. It's a rather nice gas station with drinks galore, ice cream, and even a CHASE ATM. See my photos. I will continue to come here as long as the gas prices are good, the pumps are clean, and the area remains safe. Rating - Three and a half stars for good prices, pleasant enough service, and location. read more

this is directed to the ARCO on Balfour Road. I went in this morning in the rain to buy gas and i could not get the pump to work. I tried many times before going to the inside to get help. A man came out and made it work but I am 85 years old. Wouldn't you think he would offer to help me? No. He did not. During the time i was pumping the gas it stopped several times and would not start again. I got my money back. He had it in his hand when i walked to the counter. He knew i was havin difficulty but no offer of help. I won't be back Plus this ARCO charges more than any other station except Chevron. $4.89 today. The man was a man from India with the turban on his head. read more

I hate Arco's in general. I hate the stupid pay kiosk things, I hate that I have to be inundated with advertising in my ears and eyes on screens, and I DETEST being charged for using my ATM card. The place is nice enough, roomy, and clean. But f' those f'ing fees (gas is already expensive, and now you want to charge me for taking my money?) and those damn tv screens. I've been thinking of keeping a hammer in the car just so I could smash those damn things. read more

Have been sitting here for now 20 minutes. The cashier is trying to close out thier till, and can not accept any kind of payments. 3 people have come to get gas, and they are being turned away. This place is disgusting... has certainly gone down hill over the years. No water in the brush troff, garbage cans full/ overflowing and just a very very dirty feel all around. read more

Great service for our Neighbourhood store. Friendly staffs and extremely clean store.

Ok my blood is not boiling anymore and I am not late for work. I am just staying away from that pump where I had an incident plus their $3.99 car wash on weekdays is just hard to pass up. read more

I live next to this horrible gas station. Machines never work, now you have to hold the handle the whole time you pump gas, why would they take the lock off?? Chevron across the street is worth the extra 10 cents. read more

So after purchasing $50 worth of gas and paying for a car wash, the dryer screwed up as I was leaving. So I went into the store to ask about it and the "owner/ manager" said to his employee to just run me back through and said because people don't know how to use the carwash that it does that...!? So not only do they know that this happens but one would think they might post a sign telling their customers not to pull in until the other car had exited the car wash. When I asked for a refund you would of thought I was pulling this guys teeth... It's $8.... So now I'll never come here again and I still need to finish my car. Not something I wanted to do on a 100+ degree day. $8...... REALLY!!! read more

Prices aren't too bad, for CA.

Ditto - I love AM PM/Arco. Yes, I am reviewing a gas station. They have great prices on gas, but that is not the best part. They have a huge selection of fountain drinks. They have huge cups with lots of ice (ice is a deal breaker for me). Tons of chips and candy to choose from. I just don't understand the 35 cent charge read more

This is a pretty decent gas station. The outside kiosk to take cash is currently broken, but the people inside are nice and friendly. One of the employees was currently being trained on the register, so he was super new and incredibly apologetic, almost to the point where I wondered to myself what kind of abuse these poor guys suffer from customers. I assured them that I wasn't in any huge hurry to get change. They were all super friendly and nice here, and I'd get gas here again. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. I went last night around 11pm. My pregnant girlfriend had to use the restroom and the older white fella rudely denied her. This is a pregnant woman not a regular patron. He then said they weren't accepting cash. So we used a debit card at the pump. The machine kept saying "see cashier". He was out the store by the time we attempted to pump gas and had to go back in to call a manager after I confronted him. He made me walk back and forth to my car over 5 times to try the machine he "just fixed". No avail. He then told me I probably didnt have any money on my account. This was absolutely a dick comment and I did Not even get a sorry from him or any sort of actual help besides me watching him sit on his thumb. After the 5th time he said the manager on the phone told him to tell me to go to another gas station. I'm pissed that this buisness is allowed to function the way it does. I will be contacting the better buisness bureau and will be reporting this incident. read more

This station is awful. More expensive than lone tree arch Seems like things Are always broken. Today had to go in first car as debit machine broken on the pump. 2nd car later says pay inside. Go in and they say they forgot to mark the pump broken. I just left. Lost my business. May not go back. read more

Debit or cash only. Plus a 35 cent processing fee. Ridiculous. And half their card/cash machines were broken. Last time I stop here.

We used to love this Arco Station. The manager and staff were friendly, and they knew their regulars. Under the new management there has been nothing but problems with the registers, atms, pumps and the car wash. The new staff is unfriendly and poorly equipped to solve the problems they face. Customer service has definitely gone down hill. read more

This is one of the worst Arco gas stations! It's clean and new, but the customer service is a JOKE! The attendants would rather talk amongst themselves then help you. And they continue to chit chat when they are ringing you out! URGH!! RUDE!!! The pumps are slow as heck, they charge for atm transactions, after I just paid 100 dollars to fill my damn tank, and when my kids went down their to fill up their bike tires, they wanted to charge them until I called ranting and raving about it! Do yourself a favor and go across the street to Chevron. read more

Gas is usually .30c less expensive than Chevron across the street ....(Techron is just a marketing ploy to con you into buying something more expensive) ..yes this place is in need of some TLC and perhaps the city needs to sort of tell them to clean up ..a clean city keeps home values up! read more

I purchase a car was and it did not clean my car properly when I went to ask if I can go through again they said no and have to buy another one which is dumb since I already paid not my fault your wash didn't clean my car and the lady I talked with had an attitude problem read more

I hate having to pay a fee to use my ATM card. Most of the time youll get a friendly cashier but they love to up-sell you stuff that makes no sense. How about a donut, when your buying beer, ect. I try not to go here, plus it seems to always get robbed and if safety is a concern, Id go across the street to the Chevron. read more

This place is a joke. I spend about $3,000 a month in fuel from Arco and I dread going here. It's on my way to the office and close to home so it's concurrent but if the card readers aren't messed up and not working its a good day. Customer service is poor and for a place that claims to have everything to drink, the coffee selection is horrible and never has what they claim and now the idea of liquid creamer is non existent. Looks like a better option for your morning coffee and fuel stop will be across the street at Chevron. Sad because as many times as I've complained my concerns go unaddressed. read more

If they weren't usually 20 cents cheaper than the Chevron across the street, I would NEVER stop here! More times than not won't print out a receipt, which I'm guessing is a ploy to make you go inside to buy more stuff. Window cleaning stations usually a mess. HATE that I have to pay to use my ATM card. Sure wish Chevron would just drop their price a bit. So far, I'm willing to take the ARCO abuse to save money. read more

I go to this station all the time for gas cause it by my house. Only complaint about the place is that the card machine/kiosk things are slower than molasses, it's faster to go inside to just pay for gas. read more

Good price on gas. That's the only redeeming feature of this place! Card readers often don't work, it's dirty. The window washing stations often have no water or wands. I'm going to Chevron across the street! read more

Good prices, easy to use car wash, staff nice enough, all you can ask for in a station.

Great place for gas, not much else to say, I mean its a gas station. However go inside to pay for gas A LOT EASIER.

this actually my favorite gas station in the area. i know...im yelping a gas station...but look at the address...its in brentwood..what else is there to yelp in this area? exactly. its a very big gas station and the ampm inside has a lot of usefull junk food. its always been pretty clean and their prices are much lower than all the other gas in the area...but with the 45 convenience fee...i dont know. but i still go out my way to go this arco as opposed to the shell or chevrons down the street. read more

I will never return to this station. On average when I am down to an 1/8 of a tank of gas, it takes about 16 gallons to refuel. This station's pump 15 shut off at just under 21 gallons! Imagine my surprise when I checked owners manual and discovered I only have a 19 gallon tank! Also, of this 19 gallons, 2 are for reserve fuel, leaving 17. I contacted the station manager who said she would look into it. After a week I returned to have her tell me that "her guy" said my car is able to hold more. However, my manufacturer, Honda, says otherwise. Honda advised that the station has a overflow return so that overfilling won't blow out my gas tank, the gas flows back into their tanks. Nice profit for them. Reported to Contra Costa Agriculture Weights and Measures. read more
