Be very careful when using your card to pay at the pump. My card has been compromised on multiple occasions when paying at the pump. I've tried the tap to pay and the chip reader and my card has been compromised 3 times in less than a year, usually within 24 hours of using it here. I'd suggest going inside to pay or just using cash. read more

Great people work here who are very attentive to your needs. If you ever have any issues, they are quick to come out and resolve it. The only downside to this place is that at times their coffee would be cold in the morning... but I'm not going to ding them for that. So I just go somewhere else for coffee or make it at home. read more

Hi, I went to the safeway gas station off Hillcrest and deervalley in antioch. The employee working that day was a lady named Brianna. It wad busy, very busy and she had her hands full. In all that was going on she maintained a pleasant attitude and was very friendly and helpful. Usually whoever is there are rude and impatient. So getting off work, almost running out of gas and a migraine, she was a ray of sunshine on that cloudy day. For her to be pregnant also, a must keeper. read more

The service here is Horrible I pulled up to the gas station at 1054 and Thomas told me they were closed. I'm like it says you guys close at 11 and he was like where does it say that. So he turned off the pumps at 1055 when o tried to get gas. I asked Thomas for the managers name and number and he told me no. You guys need to retrain your employees on customer service because he lacks that alot. read more

Came into get a quick bouquet of flowers, Emily at the register saw that I was next in line but decided to help the person after me, I asked for management and they were no better. I wonder if that is a Nom de Plume? I think she wrote the "National Treasure" movie scripts, too. And that book, "Cents and Sensibility". Many people want to give their 2 cents worth. Whether you want it or not. It happens on Yelp a lot! In reviews, on threads. Comps, congrats, PMs. If everybody actually did ante up 2 cents on Yelp each time, I would have almost enough to buy three things on McDonald's Dollar Value menu! There's the nickel tour. 5 Cents. Ever taken one of those? Usually blue collar guys who work in industry give it to white collar guys who don't get their hands dirty and want to see what the business really looks like in its bowels of operations. Just a cursory overview, a quick once-around though, that is all you get on the nickel tour. 1, 2 and 5 cents are popular. They have all the stories, anecdotes, the legends, the recognition. Not 3 cents. Personally, I like the number 3. I am the third (suffix of III, rather than Jr or Sr. ) I was born on the third of the month. Just after the new year, when you are supposed to give 3 tangerines (in Japan). My birth year ended in 3. Third time is the charm. But bad things occur in 3s. But if you want to save 3 cents on every gallon of gas you purchase, check out Safeway's new gasoline stations. This one is in Antioch. Slide in your red Safeway club card, then your payment card, and get 3 cents off every gallon. If you spend enough at Safeway, sometimes you will get 10 cents off per gallon! It reminds me of when I used to belong to Costco, and buy gasoline at their gas stations. There is one on Coleman in San Jose near Santa Clara. There is a brand new one on Brokaw near Lundy. Same deal. Costco card in, followed by credit/debit card, and save money. They are really like loyalty rewards. With the price of gasoline, every little bit helps. I always wait until I'm close to empty when I have a good amount of points on my Safeway card. I can usually get $.20 off per gallon! These stations have diesel, so I'm set! Even when you don't have anyway Safeway club points, the card will still save you $0.03 per gallon. This station only has four stalls though, and they have it as one way entry and exit - I'd assume to keep morons from blocking people in or from leaving. read more

I was in and out of here in 3 min !!! Pulled up by propane cage, went in and told cashier I needed to do an exchange for propane, paid, cashier then followed me out and swapped my empty in my trunk and I was done !! Even received points from purchase ! Better than going to a store (rite aid, food max etc). having to get a cart to put tank in, going inside and get in line to pay ,then have to wait til someone is available/find the key, and then once the exchange is made having to lift the FULL tank out if the cart and into the trunk !!! read more

Pretty cool gas station, very convenient, lot's of spaces, it can get very busy especially in the morning but is worth the wait. If you gave Safeway card, sometimes you can get 40 cents per gallon off, now that's a good deal i am sure everyone will take. read more

The gas is cheap which is great, however; it's rare that I come in here and someone isn't blaring their gangster rap music. I have a small child, and I hate to have him sitting there while I pump gas and an 'f' bomb is being dropped every few seconds. I also came here one morning before work to get gas, and their pumps were closed. Seriously? On a Monday morning at 6:20, the pumps are closed? Lame. read more

This place is okay. Kinda hard to get to as you have to drive through the Safeway parking lot to access. Usually priced a few cents cheaper (after the Club Card) than the Chevron a block away. Unfortunately, my CostCo AMEX card will not give me the gas rebate here. read more

New to the area, and I admit the stores here lack the quality and selection of those in Palm Springs. However the quality of service both in store and through corporate headquarters stinks. Being in the service business I fully understand the pros and cons of the business. A recent trip on Monday 1-1-18 to the local store on Deer Valley Road left me aghast. The lack of acknowledgement and service by the cashier, Shernita, that I had the misfortune of entering her line was appalling. I was so shocked at the treatment I received that I thought it was appropriate to write their corporate headquarters and explain myself. As of this writing I have NOT received any response from them, nor the store. So if you have the ability to shop else where, Rally's, Trader Joe's or anywhere else that will value you as a customer both at the register and through corporate please do so.
