I can't say enough good things about Vista dental on their transparency practices, how kind and professional their staff is. This is definitely my dentist moving forward for me and my family. Finally feels like I found a trustworthy place. In terms of service, I had plenty of cavities to fill and I didn't feel a thing. He even kept asking me how I was doing and if I needed a break. The office's follow-up was outstanding--they consistently called to remind me about cleanings, recommended preventive services, and made sure I stayed on schedule with my dental care. I also had three teeth extracted and bridges placed here. At the time, the bridges were fabricated on-site, which meant I received them immediately. That level of service was a huge convenience and one of the reasons I continued coming back. About six months later, however, I noticed a significant change. The proactive communication stopped. The reminder calls disappeared, and the overall level of engagement wasn't the same. When I visited the office, I learned that the original dentist had sold the practice to another dentist. I don't fault the current dentist--he seems professional and pleasant, and I'm keeping an open mind. However, I do wish the transition had been communicated to existing patients. A simple notification would have allowed patients to make an informed decision about whether they wanted to continue their care with the new provider, just as they had chosen the original practice. For patients who have been coming here since the office first opened, just be aware that the practice is different now. That isn't necessarily a negative thing, but the experience and level of service have changed. My only recommendation is for Smile Generation to do a better job communicating major changes like a change in ownership or primary dentist.
