Sun is fantastic. I have been having a recurrent neck pain for the last 6 weeks and started getting acupuncture where I live on the mainland. It was doing okay but flared up a gain when visiting the island. I got an appointment with Sun and am so happy I did. He is very knowledgeable and went above and beyond just the treatment. This was my first experience with acupuncture, and I was very nervous before hand. I had double hip surgery, and was referred to Sun from PT. He is an awesome person, and he is great with needles, cupping, and is always quick to suggest and use new techniques and ideas to help with my recovery. Sun is a MIRACLE worker! I went to get acupuncture as a last resort, I was dragging my leg and walking was a substantial challenge. I had back surgery (spinal fusion) 8 years ago and this last year has been the biggest struggle I have ever experienced. About 1 year ago I developed additional issues with other areas of my back and It was effecting me physically and mentally. I'm 65 but in my head I'm 45 and want to live out my life in an active normal way. Before I met Sun I truly thought I was running out of options and my only other recourse was another surgery. By my 1st or 2nd treatment I was better and by my 5 visit the weakness in my leg and pain in my hip ( which I've been told by ortho's is radiated from my back) are just about completely gone. I too am in the medical field and I can say with complete confidence that Sun is absolutely knowledgable, he's conscientious and goes out of his way to insure that his patients have a positive outcome through this modality. I should also mention that he gave me exercises to do at home which have kept me well maintained. I anticipate having to see him from time to time but I can assure anyone who has tried epidurals without success, consider a couple a sessions with Sun. I have been going to Sun for acupuncture for my knee after having ACL and meniscus repair surgery. In conjunction with physical therapy I feel that my sessions with Sun have really helped with my knee healing as he focuses on the body as a whole and not just the "problem" area.
