i honestly went there just so I could get an MRI. i actually felt improvement after the first session, which gave me hope and made me want to do the exercises at home. I had lost all use of my left arm and after 6 weeks, I am back to working on the land, cutting down trees and fully using the left arm. Billing has been hell. It has taken months for them to bill my insurance correctly. Finally I think I'm through the mess when my insurance paid. 2 months later, I receive a bill from Therapydia showing I owe the bill in full and no credits for the insurance payments... WHAT! It doesn't matter how wonderful my therapist was. The anguish caused by billings incompetence undoes all the good. read more

I've had a 100% positive experience with Therapydia and my PT Tyler. My shoulder was in pain and had very limited range of motion and now about a month and a half in, I'm seeing real results. I have very little pain and much better range of movement in the affected shoulder. Becky is very knowledgeable and experienced in dealing with patients suffering from lower back pain. She listens to you first and then formulates exercises and stretches that are individualized and tailored to your needs and pain level. Her total, undivided attention is on you while you perform the exercises to make sure you do them correctly. Other therapists I've had in the past used to watch you do a few and then tell you to do 2 sets of 20 and walk away to do other things. She will also manually release tight muscles before starting the stretches and exercises so you're able to do more and it feels good! Her exercise plans have really helped me improve and lower my pain level. She changed up my exercise plan every visit as I progressed. The workout is very realistic. Can be done in about 10 min, two times per day. She also designed exercises for me to prepare me for going back to work. She is that good! read more

The care at Therapydia is the most effective I've had to heal my old injuries. I recently started and my therapist Tyler has been able to decrease pain, increase mobility and get to the bottom of complicated issues in my neck back and sciatic. The employees here are helpful. The therapy is the best in town. I had a slight billing issue which was quickly resolved by the Kona office.

During the course of my recovery from a tib/fib fracture, I saw both Brett and Tyler at different times, and they are both excellent. Not only have I had PT in the past for other injuries, I've also worked for a PT office, and Therapydia Kona is superior to all of my prior experience. There are no PT aides, so you spend your entire appointment with your therapist; he will set you up with exercises and explain how/why those exercises will benefit you. Both Brett and Tyler have a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, and that experience/knowledge is reflected in the care they provide. I would have no hesitation at returning to them for additional care, or referring anyone to them. read more

AMAZING!!! If I could I would give Therapydia a 10 out of 5 stars, cause they are that GOOD. This is my second time around with a separate issue and I had no hesitation going back. Every experience at Therapydia with Kate and Cheryl is absolutely perfect! Warm, friendly, kind, sincere, compassionate! I'm getting exactly what I was looking for when I started! I've needed guidance and support in stretching and strengthening my lower back(due to numerous surgeries) and I've gotten exactly that! I'm learning the feel-good stretches and not so exciting strengthening exercises :) in a manner and at a pace that is workable and motivating. Yes I actually do them @ home and appreciate being able to share my experience and gain further help to be able to make the most of it all. I'm motivated and a lot of that has to do with how I'm treated at Therapydia- Kate is remarkable and I enjoy working with her and appreciate her approach and support. Cheryl is so warm and friendly and keeps the admin stuff in place. I'm getting stronger and thank Kate and Cheryl for everything! You are Awesome! Professional, exceeded my expectations for all of the staff here! I have seen Brett, Tyler and now also Genelle, who is every bit as good as the gentlemen. All have doctorates in physical therapy and it shows. Their approach is far superior to decades of seeing other physical therapists on the mainland before moving here. I had a total knee replacement and although the drive is over an hour for me I always feel the time was well spent when I leave because I feel improvement with my gait, etc. Sam is also very kind and easy to work with. I saw the great reviews of Therapydia on-line. I needed physical therapy in Kona for a basic rotator cuff tear, and I called several places. Therapydia had the best ratings and was close to my home. Since I have co-pays and deductibles (I am insurance savvy and know my deductibles and co-pays), I asked for the contract rate they have with my insurance company. I spoke with the manager and she said she would check but I needed to send her my prescription and insurance card. I did so. Hours later I called back and the manager said she hadn't made the calls. She explained that they would not give a price as they don't do the billing in Kona but it is done on the mainland by a third-party billing company. The manager explained that the PT decides on the spot how much they are able to bill and how many different procedure codes they can use. Sounds a bit "fishy" to me, and clearly is a way to make the bill as large as possible. My wife and I both had physical therapy in California at different places last year and it was no problem getting a quote for the cost. I wish I could use Therapydia, but going in with an open checkbook is not my style. For those of you who go, be careful of possible overbilling. read more
