I highly recommend Dr. Miranda. I was referred to him about 9 years ago with chronic lower back issues originating from a 35-year-old ski injury that kept me out of alignment and in near-constant discomfort and pain. Other local chiropractors weren't able to help me with, but Dr. Miranda quickly resolved the issue. Since then, I have gone for regular adjustments ("tune-ups") to keep me in alignment, and I remain strong and pain-free, even with a very active lifestyle. I've seen Dr. Miranda 3 times now. I have tried 2 other chiropractors here on the BI all were good but Dr. Miranda is great! Seriously-Not only did he un-pinch my nerves in my neck but he also adjusted my lower back. My lower back had been hurting for years. Dr Miranda got my back fixed up during our week in Kona. My chiropractor at home recommended that should get at least one back crackin while I was on vacation. In addition to that I wrenched my back on a water slide at the hotel pool the week before I visited Dr Miranda. He gave me a great adjustment and I was able to move again. The office staff is very polite and courteous. Dr Miranda walked me through all the adjustments he did and I walked out of his office much more mobile. Dr. Miranda was fantastic. I was visiting Hawaii and completely threw my back. I was in so much pain during my vacation I have never been to a chiropractor before, so my guard was really high.....but he was excellent. He listened to my issues and fixed me up. I felt very comfortable with him. I was unable to get up and walk comfortably after he realigned my back, and now I am able to do all the normal things a person can do. He did not sell me anything I didn't need. He did exactly what I wanted him to do. That is what a real doctor does. He saved my back. I'm way past writing this review, but here it goes! I threw my neck out on New Year's Eve. The kind that makes you look like you have no neck joint when you turn your whole body to look to the left or the right! I called Dr. Miranda's office and they were able to get me in right away even though they were closing at noon. His adjustment were instantaneous relief! Everyone treated me great and like I was a long time customer, not just a one time mainland tourist! After I was home I found out my insurance company were acting like a-holes and wouldn't pay what they said they would! His assessment is quick and thorough and he took the time to address my concerns and go over my health history. Friendly and delightful office staff, chiropractor Jesse is an absolute master. They are very busy so I recommend you show up right when they open for walk in. Otherwise, you can make an appointment. I was visiting Kona in October 2015, and desperately needed a chiropractor due to neck pain. His staff made adjustments in the schedule to get me in which was the first of many good things about this visit. Knowing I'd never be a consistent patient, I feared the appointment wouldn't be great....boy, was I wrong. Dr. Miranda was absolutely awesome. He took the time to ask what's going on, for how long, etc. Overall, he spent a lot of time with me, utilizing a number of modalities to help me heal. Afterwards, I felt ah-mazing. Dr. Miranda was able to get movement from joints that even my regular chiropractor has trouble with. After the adjustment, he put on ice packs and applied electircal stimulation to help the muscles relax and the adjustment to hold. My wife wrenched her back while diving, and our regular chiropractors back home were away on a trip so we couldn't get a referral from them to anyone in the Kailua area. We called their college, got a referral to someone here, called the guy, and he said he was going out of town and we should go to his chiropractor, Dr. Miranda. Dr. M saw us quickly and after two visits, my wife was well enough to do a night dive that we couldn't reschedule. She reports he was attentive and methodical, knew his hip stuff, and adjusted very effectively. The ice treatment afterward helped the adjustment last. Discount if you check in on yelp. I first went to Miranda Chiropractic.....hmm....7 years ago? And haven't stopped since! They ALWAYS have time for you, their staff definitely has personality! The facility's are great! I love getting "shocked" after an alignment with ice packs. And then they've got the upside down hangy thing that relieves so much pressure from my lower back. I sit for 10-14 hours a day in front of a computer and Dr.Phil has helped me stay pain free for years! Tough to find, but totally worth the search. Drive between taco bell and pizza hut through the parking lot to the building in the back, look to your left, you'll see stairs, their office is behind the stairwell. I absolutely love going to see Dr. Miranda! The front staff is absolutely amazing as well! Not a long wait time at all. As soon as I walk in, I say hello to the front team and they remember my name after my first visit! That is so awesome! It hard to go anywhere and have them remember you. After letting them know I was here, I take a seat and wait my turn. Like I said, not a long waiting period. When you first see Dr. Miranda, you let him know what's bothering you and then he does a quick assessment by looking at how you naturally stand and walk. He could tell right away what was wrong. I've always had pain and a very embarrassing posture. I had FHP or Forward Head Posture. Dr. Miranda was able to fix that for me. It took time (not something you can correct over night), but I'm able to stand completely straight and not look like I am going to fall over. I am so very grateful to Dr. Miranda and the staff.
