Infuriating! Incompetent! I ordered a mattress 2 WEEKS AGO. No confirmation email, no keeping the customer informed, nothing.
My delivery date came and went. Being British, and used to disappointment, I waited a further 2 days before calling and was told by internationally renown helpdesk
superstar 'Graham' that I'd be called back in the next 5 minutes.
30 minutes pass. No call.
I called back and spoke to his agreeable colleague 'Stuart' who told me it'd probably be delivered Monday or Tuesday of next week. I realise he has as much control
over the situation as I have and take him at his word, hoping someone the planets will align and my bed will materialise. I called again yesterday and was told
"Definitely, definitely tomorrow" by a rather helpful-sounding young lady named Lisa. I'm getting tired of the sound of my own text but suffice to say, No delivery was
made.
I have not been able to do anything for 2 WEEKS because I've been waiting in 8am until 6pm waiting on this delivery.
Archers Sleep Centre apparently pride themselves in putting the customer first. It's written on the website, so it must be true.
But before we ride off on a happy trip to friendship land on a horse made of dreams and laughter, let me be serious for a moment.
I am the customer. I should not have to phone an 0871 number to check to see if YOU have sent the goods I bought from you, because after taking my money we have had no
contact since.
I should not have to be told on a Wednesday afternoon, 1 week after the agreed delivery date that my goods will "probably be sent out on Monday" THIS IS NOT SERVICE.
Rather conveniently for Archers Sleep Centre, there is no feedback system in place on the site, only a selection of good reviews some customers have given and
suspicious reviews about how Managers phoned them back at their own expense on a candy phone-line made of the finest dedication and truth.
Emails are ignored and phone-calls are costly and completely unhelpful. Phone attendants tell me my goods will be sent out tomorrow, am I supposed to ask for them to
swear a blood oath? No, I have to continue taking their word for it because, in the end, I know they can do as much about it as I can and that both of us are in the
same boat; wasting another day inside talking to people we consider to be idiots on the telephone. read more
