I have filled out multiple applications for jobs at Archbold and have been turned down for each one even though I feel I was very qualified for, because of a negative reference from my 30+ year previous employer. The least you could have done is offer an interview and ask me about the negative reference or contact one of the 5 references I provided. 4 of the 5 references provided were all high managerial position references from the previous employer and can still provide references from a regional level of this company. If there had been wrong doing on my part I have no problem admitting to them. I feel this is unfair treatment for myself and others that find theirselves in the same situation. Archbold is trying to silence me. They have deleted my google review, so now I am here. DO NOT APPLY FOR STERILE PROCESSING HERE! The supervisor put Vagisil in my locker and HUMAN RESOURCES IS AWARE THEY DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING because the supervisor has been there for 20+ years so they sided with her bullying me and then began to target me. She continued to place more items in my locker pertaining to hygiene I ended up having to put a lock on my locker. The supervisor, morning shift lead, and night shift lead have been there for 20+ years so if you have an issue, the company is going to side with them. The supervisor runs in a clique with her 20+ years crew and if you chose to not want to hang with them, you officially have a target on your back. (high school environment) supervisor has not helped not one person get certified in the department. When a young lady who was certified became employed, she started helping people in the department get certified and the supervisor became very jealous of her because she wanted to help others and people were actually passing their board exams because of her. If you are not certified, they will pay you $13 and tell you "we're going to help you get certified so your pay can go up" and they NEVER WILL HELP YOU GET CERTIFIED. Everybody in our department is scheduled 8 hour shifts, meanwhile the night shift team lead works 18 hour shifts (literally walks around the hospital and steals time even steals other people on call shifts) and nobody says or does ANYTHING about it. They are aware he is stealing time and has been caught multiple times walking around the hospital and in departments he doesn't belong in. Meanwhile they are firing people for making up time or having 3-4 hours of overtime. I will continue to post on EVERY platform that I can because I honestly do not want anybody to experience what and others have. Generally good care but I did encounter one CNA named Sandra (on 6th East) who doesn't seem to care much about her patients. My IV infusion machine has been alarming for over two hours and even though I asked her to reset it MULTIPLE times, she just ignores it. NOT ACCEPTABLE. read more

I'd like to preface this with the fact that we have had some wonderful nurses over the past 24 hours. However, if I could give Archbold ER 0 stars, I would. My mother was sent to Archbold from a neighboring town after a daunting and scary CT result, which required us to be processed through the ER. After 4 hours, we were told she was being admitted and would be receiving a room. It is now hour 24 and we are still sitting in the ER after being told, 4 hours ago, that her room would be ready in 1.5 hours. When asked whether Dr. BRANDON BERGAN would be giving us a status update roughly 6 hours after he stopped by, we were informed by a nurse that he was "too busy" to worry about that right now. Too busy to check the status of a patient sent here for a supposedly dire situation who is supposedly being moved to IMCU. Additionally, it should not take 30 minutes for a nurse to respond to a patient needing to use the restroom. Nor should it take 1.5 hours for an IV to be hooked back up. And another thing: telling a patient who is fully capable of leaving AMA that they would be arrested if they leave is a falsehood akin to lead to major issues. So, at the time of this review, we are miserable in the ER and completely disgusted at the bedside manner of this department and hospital as a whole. read more

I had a recent surgery for ear tubes and septum correction to reduce and hopefully resolve my issue with consistent ear infections from reoccurring. I am a patient at Archibold Ear Nose and Throat Center and was referred here for surgery. I was taken back within 5 minutes of arriving. The front desk person had a clear separator and everyone wore masks for Covid-19 precautions. I was approved negative with a previous Covid-19 test a few days prior which was much appreciated. My nurses Stephanie & Ashley were very kind and polite throughout the whole prep for surgery and keeping me updated. My surgery was scheduled for early morning hours and they were repearedlt informing me on steps being done, doses being taken for medicines being given, and consistently making sure I was at ease and doing okay. My doctor Dr.Williams is my ENT specialist and was the surgeon as well. This was my first surgery and my nerves were initially on edge, every person on staff made my worries disappear with their kind words, helpfulness and constant measures to make me feel comfortable definetly recommend their services! I drive from Tallahassee FL to Thomasville Georgia especially for their services. read more

Luckily I don't ever have to use their ER or any facility again. Back in 2001 when my daughter was born there, one of the Hooker Nurses had the nerve to hit on my husband while I was in labor. I guess, she thought she could get a free ticket out of T-ville. We moved shortly after that, and again she tried to get in touch with him... Worst hospital ever. Rare 1-Star rating from me. Notice all the low ratings. This is no coincidence. Arrive at Archbold in a Honda and you will leave in a Hearst. Well understaffed on the floors with incompetent people. Nurses loves to argue with you. Morale must be low. I had to Against Medical Advice "AMA" myself to Capital Medical in Tallahasee to avoid my certain death at Archbold. The Archbold doctor didn't want to remove my gall bladder. Too risky he said. Capital Medical took care of my needs before certain death had I stayed in Thomasville. Archbold has a bad habit of putting false information in medical records to cover themselves. Nurses take 30 to 45 minutes to get your drugs to you. They expect you to tell them when your drugs are due. Really? If you call 30 minutes early they say it's not time. Then you call them at 4:00 for your meds and you are lucky to get them by 4:45 after 2 calls to the desk. This is rampant at Archbold. No matter who is in the hospital, it is their norm. That's what computers and clocks are for. They insisted my son raise his hospital window shades during the day because it was "policy". He wanted to sleep. They still raised them out of spite. Then I lowered them. I've always been told to "stay ahead of the pain" by continued use of pain meds. But no, if you are asleep they won't administer pain meds. Then you wake up in pain and it's 45 minutes before the meds get to your bedside. Now you are way behind the curve on pain. It's because their "policy to not wake you for pain meds". But wait, it's now 4 hours late and the nurse has five pills on her cup. So they don't wake you for your other meds either. That's because they won't wake you for any pills. You could stay in a room and be dead for half a day if it wasn't for the blood pressure and temperature LPN coming around to wake you or check your pulse. Like I said: Go to Archbold in a Honda and check out in a Hearst. Just go to Capital Medical who is a for-profit hospital managed by Hospitals of America. They all a well oiled machine with exceptional protocol procedures and a paperless system that can't be beat. read more

My mother was injured in a fall recently, actually twice, she received what I consider excellent care, at this facility. Both stays were several days, one was several weeks. The staff is very friendly, and responsive to needs and requests. The pt load, per nurse was very reasonable. If you are in need of hospitalization, I wouldn't hesitate to use this facility. My thanks go along, as well, for taking care of my family. read more

I went to the ER at 11pm and gave up and left without being seen around 4am the next day. I along with 6 others waited and waited and were only met with getting our blood drawn, having an x-ray done and, giving a urine sample that stayed sitting on the receptionist desk in the lobby for 4 hrs and told to continue to wait in the lobby. People were so tired of waiting that they either left or just stretched out and fell asleep on chairs. If anyone dared go to the receptionist and interrupted her convo with the security guards about how they liked the coffee or whatever, they were told they didn't have any answers to any questions and to please go back and have a seat. This place spent so much money building new rooms yet, people have a hard time getting in one and you have a lot of security officers and police officers but no doctors to help the patients that need help. I spent so much time waiting and taking unnecessary test such as an x-ray and so on to just end up leaving and going elsewhere the next day and finding I only had strep throat and needed penicillin. At this point they are doing unnecessary tests to charge your insurance company a sh*t load of money for doing nothing. Who does a chest x-ray, urine test, and blood test for strep throat and who has to wait 6 or more hours to be told you just need a pill and you're cured? Lastly, the facility is dirty and needs to be cleaned and the nurses shouldn't have to do a "roll call" to see if people have given up waiting to be seen. I know times are stressful but, if you took a job to help sick people please do that job without acting as if these same people are getting on your nerves and you have better things to do than help them. When you have camera's in the ER and see more security than you do nurses or doctors, that's a red flag about said facility. read more

I was seen quickly at Archbold Hospital ER. This will be a noticeable contrast for those in Valdosta who have had the awful luck had to stumble into the SGMC Emergency Room and been "greeted" the intake "receptionists" whom you're bothering by your mere presence. Well, you are interrupting their video game play. How many gems can you get vertically, horizontally, and diagonally? Only a SGMC Emergency Room triage receptionist knows... 6 hours later - if you're lucky, you'll be seen by an incompetent specialist who is unable to tell you what your diagnosis was, and then sends you home home untreated. This explains why some Doctors in Valdosta (more prevalent than you would think) would rather their patients skip the SGMC Emergency Room and instead go to Archbold Hospital in Thomasville - unless the problem requires immediate attention. I, for example, have had to go to the Valdosta SGMC Emergency Room two times, and after being seen by the treating physician was given a hand-wave along with a lightning-quick, incompetent rambling in lieu of a diagnosis, and then sent home - with NO diagnosis, with NO treatment. TWICE. Later, after seeing a specialist who WAS ACTUALLY KNOWLEDGEABLE in the field, I was treated successfully. This specialist regarded my treatment at the Valdosta Hospital (SGMC) as incompetent, and the work of a "hack". NOTE: The 4 * rating is not so much for competence as for Archbold's ability to see me QUICKLY, even if at first to put me in another "waiting/exam room" (which is what they all do anyhow). The specialist at Archbold was 1) more attentive, 2) more concerned, 3) and unfortunately equally incompetent, but this didn't stop him from TRYING HIS BEST, and administering a full exam and ruling out several possibilities the Valdosta South Georgia Medical Center missed. If I'm not in serious/immediate danger I will drive the 40 minutes from Valdosta to Archbold ER, or even to Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, which is 3 hours away, instead of submitting myself to the torture that is the Valdosta SGMC Emergency Room. read more

I have worked with this hospital in both professional and personal capacities, and they are unethical to the extreme. Get services at an archbold facility and prepare to get double billed. Even on the mental health side, archbold treats people as mere sources of profit. I went to Tallahassee to avoid archbold services. I got ripped off at a Tallahassee medical center (billing issue) and I'd still go back there before archbold. Thankfully I moved so I don't have to deal with rural doctors anymore. No competition means these docs know they can get away with privacy violations, overbilling, and general arrogance without the skill to back it up. read more

I received quite an education during the last few months of 2018 into January of 2019 from interacting with the medical industry. The first thing that I learned was that "industry" is the correct designation as the mark-up on commonly found items would make a used car salesman blush. Also, like junior vice presidents in corporate American, there were job positions I found to be questionable in necessity and efficiency - all billing for their time, at top dollar, whether it be three minutes or 15 minutes. However, the most poignant lesson I've learned is that the responsibility of practicing medicine is not being "faced with great humbleness and awareness of my own frailty." What I encountered was great hubris and awareness of the ignorance of patients and their families as an advantage to be exploited. Because of this, transparency was a muddy concept bolstered by a general rule of not volunteering all of the information unless specifically asked, which many trusting individuals will not do. I mean, your physician, surgeon or medical facility always has your best interests at heart and as the basis of their decisions, right? No, they really don't at Archbold Medical Center. My family truly suffered at their hands and the result was the loss of my father, due to mistakes that were made in the overall management of his care from the surgeon to the doctors rotating on and off the floor. This Hospital is terrible! Don't come here. My wife has to come to the ER a lot because of her medical conditions. It is usually anywhere from a 1 to 2 hour wait. Every time we come here, the staff is either going through shift change or their are no available beds in the ER rooms. When you come here you are guaranteed an 8 hour stay and all they are going to do is give you fluids and a prescription! Stay home and drink orange juice and see your primary care and it will save you lots of time! Also if they get rid of all the homeless people staying in these ER rooms every night for a place to stay they would have open beds! Believe me stay away please! read more
