It was fine. Honestly, I wouldn't wrote home about it. But here I am yelping about it! It was packed with boats. It's small. We didn't get close. I wouldn't do it again. But I guess I checked it off the list of things to do. The scenery is beautiful, but you can see most of it where the cruise ship parks if you're coming in on a ship. read more

It was so worth checking out the Arch. Beautiful scenery and breathtaking. Just the rough waters make the ride enjoyable.

The Arch or "El Arco" in Cabo San Lucas is located in Lands End on the southern Baja Peninsula. The arch sits among other rock formations between the two beaches Playa del Amor/Lovers Beach on the Gulf of Mexico/Sea of Cortez and Playa del Divorcio/Divorce Beach on the rougher Pacific Ocean. Many boat tours travel here to give visitors a view of the beautiful beaches, water, sea life, resorts, and mansions. During my vacation, I took a boat tour to the Arch. My boat was larger at two stories, so the waves did not cause anyone to feel sick. I enjoyed looking at the Arch and the other rock formations, and I made sure to ask my husband to take photos of my posing in front of the Arch! My tour was also supposed to stop by the Playa del Amor, but we saw a few whales, so we went whale-watching for the remaining time instead. read more

The iconic landmark of Cabo, its where the Pacific meets the sea of Cortez. Its the reason why some beach front resorts & restaurants can charge you an exuberant price just for a glimpse. We took the glass bottom boat ($25) from the Marina & ventured out. The boat traffic in & out of the Marina was frantic and probably rivaled the Normandy landing. Be sure to take your dramamine, our little boat was subjected to constant pitch & roll, at times even bounced a few feet into the air. Once we arrived at the Arch it was worth all the troubles. The view of the Arch from Sea of Cortez toward the Pacific was absolutely stunning. Its prob ideal to visit in the morning or around noon time for the best photo opp. We went late afternoon & the western sun rendered it hard to take quality pics with the Arch in the back drop. The boat also drove right up to a small rock opening/tunnel that connects the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific. Every few seconds the water from the Pacific tide will crash through the small hole and creating tremendous amount of air, spray & noise ala a blowhole. Most glass bottom boat tours can drop you off at the Lover's Beach, there are designated areas that's safe to swim. You can chill there for as long as you desire. The Divorce's Beach on the Pacific side is unsafe to swim. Around that area there are several spots for snorkeling & scuba diving. We saw plenty of fishes from our glass bottom boat. There were also all clear glass boats but they can't disembark passengers onto the beach as they are not equipped with any side ladders. read more

I was surprised at how small this was. Sure, it's iconic, and you might see it as your cruise ship leaves the bay- we did. If you don't see it, don't sweat it- it's an arch in the water. It's cool but I wasn't going to book a water trip just to see it. read more
