It said the menu today is such n such ... but they had everything on their main menu. (I almost left but decided to ask about the menu)Also the hand written board said my sandwich included fries-no fries. The cashier was kind but clueless she didn't know there was a dry erase board menu . Also didn't offer me a sauce and when I asked for one she didn't have a lid for it. She kept rummaging around under the window and saying something about not having stuff. And also was not offering bags to large orders. Watched a young man juggling 3 foam containers with an additional soup looking container across the parking lot. I asked for a bag and she produced one after fiddling around. I do not feel too confident about returning.

Okay...Lula's Place Eatery did NOT come to play…read more I ordered the pastina soup, meatball, house salad, and carrot cake--and honestly, every bite felt like it was made with intention. The pastina soup? Rich, savory, and the kind of comfort food that hits your soul, not just your stomach. The house salad was crisp and refreshing, but let's talk about that homemade balsamic...bold, perfectly balanced, and packed with flavor. And the house-made bread? Soft, fresh, with just the right hint of yeast--simple but done right. Now the meatball...WOW. Moist, insanely flavorful, and so well-seasoned you could almost taste each herb and spice individually. That's not easy to pull off, but they nailed it. And the carrot cake sealed the deal--perfectly spiced, incredibly moist, and the kind of dessert you think about later. Everything felt homemade, elevated, and full of heart. This place is an absolute gem

The ambiance is still as lovely as before and I've included a couple of new pics. This time, I ordered less oil for my previous experience with Chicken Piccata... It honestly didn't seem that it was less oil and seemed to have a smoked flavor that I didn't recall from last time and didn't honestly like. Nevertheless, still a great entree. My mom's marinara spaghetti was disappointing to her, as she thought there wasn't enough sauce.. i tasted it and thought the sauce was delicious, though perhaps not enough for my mom's expectations. The pastina soups were the stars of the show! So flavorful and comforting. Absolutely perfect! Since I picked up the orders from the register, I can't rate the service except to say that it was on time and that the soups were packaged to avoid spills, which I appreciated. This round is a 4 star experience, though I would definitely go back!

I had no idea this was such a hidden gem and have to share my experience! Upon walking to the entrance, I saw a cozy lounging area just outside. Upon entering, I was greeted by the staff and also soaked in the artsy and upbeat atmosphere inside. It was so unique in a very great way... artwork everywhere and lots of seating possibilities. For some reason, I expected ready-made sandwiches but learned that everything is made-to-order to ensure freshness. The two staff members couldn't have been more welcoming as they introduced me to the DaCapo Coffee family. There is also a location in Lambertville, MI - a sister location in Bedford Township by the same owner. I am sorry to admit that I'm one of those people who tends to special order. I decided on the roasted turkey club but didn't want bacon or mayo, nor did I want the croissant. They were very accommodating and made the the sandwich exactly the way I wanted it. It was also approximately 5:00pm and I was the only customer but I appreciated their flexibility. I took a seat at one of the tables while I waited for my to-go order and admired the cool wood on the tables. It was a reasonable time before my sandwich was ready and the gentleman who made it carried it out to me in a paper bag. As I left DaCapo, I kept thinking about its very artsy, comfortable and positive vibe. Plus, I enjoyed half of my sandwich once home- excellent quality and delicious. I'll definitely be back to try the coffee and energy drinks. Absolutely check out this place. It was so refreshingly alive and relaxing at the same time!! Check out the pictures!

So, the Italian sub is served hot, which isn't always my preference (I think most of their subs are served hot). I like the freshness of the cold cuts served cold. I will say that to their benefit, they don't microwave their sandwiches. They have a steamer they place the meats and cheeses into and then blast them with steam. It is a nice touch, much better than nuking things. Anyway, the bread they used didn't have much "personality" going for it. I love really crusty sub rolls with soft, pillowy insides. This was kind of a softer roll that didn't have any character. Kind of disappointing. The sandwich itself was dressed with mayo (my favorite condiment), but it really needed an acid note to balance the unctuous, fatty quality of the meat, cheese and mayo (hello vinegar...). The veggies just got lost and really didn't add a thing. I did request jalapenos on the sandwich, and unfortunately, they didn't add much (too mild). They do have one of those drink machines that offer what seems to be an endless choice of beverages (love those). There appears to be a cleanliness issue too. I got there around 12:30 and the floors were really dirty. The walls and vents could use some attention, etc. It just had the appearance of not being well kept. In summation, the place wasn't bad, but I can't say I'd go back anytime soon.

Decided to check it out after working from a local library. Upon walking in, the ambiance is welcoming and casual. The wood floors looked very clean and it just felt clean. Since I was here mid-afternoon, the back part of the restaurant was closed, so I took a seat at one of the bar high tops. My server was very friendly and efficient. I ordered the Baja Chicken Rollup without bacon and with ranch dressing on the side. It came out pretty quickly. And did I mention that I also had the fries?! The fries were perfectly seasoned and cooked so that they weren't too crispy or too soft. They were addictive! The sandwich was also amazing, though secondary to the fries. The side of ranch dressing was perfect. The condiments were served in small plastic containers, which were a reminder that this was great food in a bar and grill. Everything was very tasty though and I don't mean to discount the food or service, as it was top notch. Definitely recommend! Check out the pictures below!
