The same fella greeted me and called me "boss man" about 30 times as we talked about various ant and beetle killers. Their selection is limited, but seemed to focus more on plumbing and gardening supplies than traditional hardware. Maybe that is the niche they have carved out to survive in. Now, Luke did leave something out. I suspect that he wanted to avoid being indelicate, but I think it bears mentioning. This friendly, helpful clerk patrolling the floors and calling everyone "boss man" looks indigent. He is scrawny, dirty, and missing all of his front teeth. Friendly as hell, but quite a sight. I'm only saying it so you aren't alarmed when he approaches you.

I don't know if they changed owners or what but I use to go there all the time. My last experience…read morewas less than favorable. I went there looking for a tree and there was nobody at the check out. Some other people came to the check out and were behind me also waiting we all waited then after about 10 minutes someone showed up. The employee checked out the people behind me I guess because they had items to buy and all I had was a question. Did I mention I am an amputee not that it matters they were just plain rude. Needless to say this was my the last time I 'll go to this establishment.

The ideal fall outing! We went on a warm Saturday afternoon in late September, and were pleased to…read moresee that it wasn't crowded at all. Lots of parking, no lines for food, and plenty of room to roam in the pumpkin patch. We grabbed a wagon and some clippers and found a pumpkin to cut off the vine. There are plenty of pre-cut pumpkins too if you'd rather just pick one that way (and take some cute pics). The wood-fired pizza was SO good and fairly priced. We really enjoyed the salsiccia pie, but all of them sounded delicious. And had to get a half dozen cider donuts for the road, obviously. I'm looking forward to returning when our kids are a bit older to try more of the family-friendly activities!

I absolutely love this set up even more than the last location! There is so much for kids to do here and lots for adults too. We picked our pumpkins for the season and considering the amount of people here, there were still many great looking pumpkins. The lines were too long for the donuts/food so I didn't get to try any but I am hoping to eventually try the cider donut in the future! Definitely bring your friends and family here to check out the Hall Family Farm. Side note- I know the Halls from many years ago and they are a wonderful family! If you see them around be sure to meet them!!!

Several powerful testimonies were shared from women who had gone through the House of Pearl's recovery program. Their testimonies of recovery from addiction are truly inspiring. The event was hosted outdoors. Refreshments were generously offered to all who attended this event. There was prayer, testimonies of recovery, and a beautiful song of worship at the end. I left inspired. I was given materials from the House of Pearl's booth which I will be sure to utilize to the women God brings across my path. The house is beautiful and historic and I look forward to visiting again during business hours. Also, I minister on a free 24/7 prayer line : 866-987-7729 please call any time for prayer. Stopped back in during the week for a quick lunch with my mom and sister. The house was lovely as…read moreusually and the staff nice as ever. We opted for a mix of hot and ice teas. I highly recommend the strawberry tea...taste like summer. We started with the cheese ball sampler. Not my fav as the flavors were not there. It came with 3 mini cheese balls; pimento, goat cheese and a garden veg with pineapple (IKR). Again, great presentation but none of the cheese balls had much flavor to match the name. For entrees we opted for the chicken salad sandwich, the chicken pot pie and the country chicken casserole. My sister loved the chicken salad, my mom just ate most of the filling of the pot pie, I was not a fan of the casserole (one note, no veggies and everything was mushy except the "herb" bread crumbs on top). Next time I will stick to tea and the lovely finger sandwiches and room for the lovely desserts from the bake shop.

I usually get the largest bag and it is a perfect blend for our local birds in Charlotte. Store has a lot of other products - all things bird related and the shop owners are very knowledgeable and helpful. Great for gifts for friends and family that love birds :) I did come here a while back after the squirrels were giving my bird feeder a hard time and got some of the solutions to try at the store. Ended up going with a physical squirrel baffle, but it definitely was a journey. They did just place a new US Post Office location next door to this location so it's very easy to knock out some errands in one stop (especially with the Trader Joe's next door to the USPS office as well). All that into consideration, the parking lot has some pretty compact spaces, and is ALWAYS busy so - pick your battles for sure.
