But my most recent experience was so pleasantly memorable, I felt compelled to post a review. It was not just a routine cleaning, which have all been fine, but a replacement of old cavity fillings. First of all, I did not feel a THING when the novacaine injection was administered. I mean, seriously, I was sitting there wondering "did he inject the novacaine yet?" before I realized yes he had. And I'm kind of a baby about novacaine in the first place. Secondly, the whole procedure was done smoothly, with excellent teamwork between Dr. Alexander (I hope it's Dr. Alexander and that I'm getting his name right, he's great) and the technician (sorry, I don't remember her name but she's great too, very personable and professional). They had a good collaboration where she could anticipate what he needed next and when I needed to be suctioned, etc. It just went very smoothly. Felt no pain, and it was efficiently done. Thirdly, I needed no adjustment at all. Sometimes with these fillings, it can end up a little high, and your bite just isn't quite right. Nope, 24 hours later I don't even REMEMBER that I just had these fillings done. The bite was perfect on the first try. And you have what you need - tissues, cups, rinse, bing, bang boom, procedure done, you're on your way. Oh yeah, I forgot, you can even eat and drink RIGHT after the procedure is finished. And I did (sorry, I know I said I wouldn't when I was there but I did because I COULD) eat and drink shortly afterwards and had no problems at all. And the staff are great. They're nice to you when you arrive and good about scheduling and great about billing. They listen to you, pay attention, they just do a great job with customer service. I've left physicians practices solely based on the behavior of the office staff even if I like the physician. Not an issue with Olathe Famly Dentistry, they're great to work with. And they accept my dental insurance (MetLife Dental).

Dentists and hygienists were awesome. Drs Alexander and Bevan retired a few years ago and things have totally changed. This practice is all about the money now and definitely not the personalized service that it once was. They insisted I needed a new bridge and we're incredibly high pressure about how I was going to pay the out of pocket portion. I have found another dentist who I'm very happy with and by the way there is nothing wrong with my bridge three to four years later.

Everyone in the office is beautiful inside and out. I have never waited more than 2-3 minutes in the lobby before being called back to a room for my appointment, and once I'm in a room, I'm treated with so much kindness and comfort that I forget I'm even at the dentist. Everyone who works at Rhoades is incredibly well trained, gentle with their tools, and they explain everything that is happening thoroughly as it happens. In addition to the amazing ladies who work at Rhoades, holy cow they have top of the line equipment! From the X-rays to the cameras to make molds for crowns...(that's right-no more mushy mold making in your mouth!) they have the newest and best equipment. Bonus-they have every movie every made available for your viewing on the ceiling flat-screen. So if you're feeling like Napoleon Dynamite might be your jam while getting your new crown, this is your place!

Great staff. They make the most out of my visit to the dentist…read more When you first arrive, you are given a very friendly smile and a warm welcome by name. Most of my appointments are early, at 8, when they first open, so I don't have to wait long. They give me just enough time to grab a cup of coffee from the Kuerig. They have a full coffee bar with three different creamers, syrup to add, all in addition to a plentiful stock of K-Cups. If you do need to wait, they have a Wii in a little room with a flat screen tv. The receptionist is on top of insurance, and asks a couple questions verifying current address, phone number, etc. The dental hygienist took me to the chair after about five minutes of waiting. I told her I had a meeting at 8, and she said well let's gets you taken care of. She cleaned my teeth, talking me through everything she was about to do. She made pleasant conversation, as some dentists are better than others at a single sided conversation, then if I wanted to say something she would remove the tools and let me speak. Dr Katie Watson was out on maternity leave. Her replacement was a younger lady who examined everything, poked around a little bit, showed me some exposed areas where there might be a threat of sensitivity, let me know what they could do if it bothered me, and voila! All done in 35 minutes. I had a very pleasant experience, and this was my second visit here I highly recommend Stone Post Dental.

They have a comfortable and elegant waiting area (including a Keurig!) My hygienist is careful but thorough so I'm never in pain but get the maximum clean. She always provides little recommendations if I'd like an even better smile; which I appreciated. She recommended an electric toothbrush, which I purchased and saw great improvements. Now I've been more dedicated to my flossing, which she also suggested. Dr. Watson is so sweet. She always comes in for the final check. They are good about taking photos and x-rays when needed, but never suggest things you don't really need or shouldn't be worrying about. Always a wonderful experience! I'm so glad I met Dr. Watson and began using her for my dental needs!

The first time I called and it was around $150.00. Then calling back to confirm my appointment the fee increased to $241.00. No reason could be given, so maybe it was the time of day or perhaps the charges the office had to bring in to cover its operation that week. Obviously, I cancelled. I've have never been to the office but it looks high dollar on the advertising picture and indeed it is. If you don't mind paying just to chat with their "expert" for 10 minutes, then this may be the place for you. Maybe they just want wealthy clientele, so fee "extraction" is easier.

The care is excellent, and they take the time to explain what you need going forward. If you are looking for a new dentist, this is the office you need in your life. They do complex things, like implants and crowns, as well as the more common cleanings and fillings. The location is convenient at 69 and 159th Street. Give them a try - you won't be disappointed!
