Similar to the other review left here, Arbor1 showed up unannounced one day to do some work that they had provided me an estimate for. While the invoice didn't overcharge me for anything, the work was not done to my satisfaction. For one tree, I was very specific about how much I wanted trimmed off at the top. But it doesn't look like they trimmed back anywhere close to what I had requested. At a bare minimum, they should have called me the day prior, to confirm that it was OK for them to come the next day to do the work. And they should have come to my door and asked me to come inspect the work they had done, if I was happy with the results or if I wanted more trimmed off any of the trees. Instead they left as abruptly as they showed up. I think a true professional would have better communication with a customer and make sure the customer was satisfied before calling the job 'completed'. Needless to say, I won't ever use them again and I would encourage people to do some research before hiring an arborist. read more

We recently had a strong storm knock down a large tree in our backyard. We called Arbor 1 as a friend had referred us. The showed up on the same day which was great; however, they did not come to the door to announce their arrival. They located the tree themselves and simply walked into our backyard. They discussed using a small crawler machine to drag the tree out to the road with my husband. Next thing we know, they chose to drag the tree onto our neighbours lawn with the crawler. They never asked our neighbour and never came to our door either...just simply tore up their lawn and left large tracks which needed to be repaired. They didn't do anything about the damaged they caused - we were left on the hook for that. They chipped the tree out on the road, did not sweep up their mess and simply drove away. We had asked for the stump to be removed as well and three and a half weeks later they showed up announced again to remove it! Simply walked into our backyard and started working! I was secretly hoping they would not return - ugh! VERY poor customer service and never will call them again. Save yourself the extra money/time and call a business that believes in respecting your privacy, property and those who live around you. read more
