5 stars for sure for the customer service. They have remodeled the place rather nicely. The first…read moreroom we had smelled musty and the shower didn't work. My husband is a snob and prefers fancy name brand hotels so he gave me a lot of crap booking this place. The shower not working made him have a hay day making fun of me. However, I called, she came within minutes to check on the shower and opened a new room for us with a working shower right away. The room was clean enough but the bathroom's definitely left something to be desired. The showers and floors were stained pretty badly in both rooms. My husband had to go buy shower shoes at dollar general (conveniently across the street) before he would get in the shower. If the bathrooms were upgraded as much as the rest of the hotel it would be a solid 5 stars. This is pet friendly for an extra $25 per night. There is a little grass pad with a picnic table out front. Not much for amenities but we were in town for a funeral so we weren't looking for extras. Check in and check out were super easy. She sent a code to my phone so we never had to go into the office at all.

I pushed every lumen of daylight to make it to Arapahoe with the last rays of sun and get to the last motel. Unfortunately in the time it took me from my first call (to confirm there were rooms) to my second call (to confirm I could actually get that far), the one single room sold out and left only doubles. I have seen hotels give you the lower rate sometimes, but this isn't a chain so that may be a factor. (That being said, indie hotels are more likely to throw nice things at you like that... hint.) Room itself was fine. The town is quiet but apparently every so often a truck or motorcycle? drives through with a loud engine. Since the doors are outward facing, that results in noise penetrating the room. A/C units are old and you're either running fan or A/C (low or high) or heat (low or high) - nothing that conforms to a single temperature. Generally that's the thing I'd say here - functional but old. The next morning I left. Just left, because the morning food baskets cost money. I mean, at least they have them, so I can't complain too hard. But it's the little things. If the place charged me $5 more and included the food basket free, that'd strike me as a better deal. If they were willing to charge me for a single room because they're not selling out and I'm not getting two beds messy, that'd be a better deal. But they didn't. In the end, it was nice enough and the only hotel within a half hour in any direction, so I won't be too harsh, but looking back on it, I should've booked that Rodeway when it still had rooms.

I have stayed here twice now for business and its a nice spot. Well maintained, easy check in,…read morefriendly staff, decent breakfast and really clean/comfortable rooms. The beds are excellent with tons of pillows. Air and heat work well, bathrooms are set up perfectly. Just all around solid HIE location. They have a great coffee machine at the breakfast area that grinds and makes a cup fresh and its so good that I have not even been tempted to head out to a fancy coffee spot for a better cup. Its located off a side road from the "main drag" in town so i feel like that makes it both convenient location but also more quiet than if it was on a main road. Close to plenty of restaurants and walmart/good will, ect for a bit of shopping if needed. Pro tip - head across the street to Coppermill for an excellent dinner/drinks and have a quick 1 minute drive home.

The person who answered the phone late that night when I realized that I must have left it behind was incredibly helpful. She called me back and let me know she had found the item, had put it on her manager's desk, and that her manager would contact me the next day with instructions what I needed to do for her to mail it to me. The manager called the next day and then once I got my mailing instructions to her, packed up the item and then took it on her own time to mail it to me. I really appreciated them and I was so glad to get the gift from my husband back!
