In Bs. As., the gaucho shops are called "Talabarterias" and they are mostly concentrated in the Recoleta area. Gayle and I stopped at Arandu twice during our recent Argentina vacation. We ended up with several sheathed knives for gives, plus a nice leather purse, a "silver" box, and a picnic set.

Our only regret is that we didn't go "whole hog" and go for a complete steak knife set or at least a "BBQ' combination. Maybe the checked baggage details factored in to that decision. However, their complimentary 2017 calendar is now up in my Office and will maybe serve as future inspiration.
