True story- after our interview, USCIS required us to submit an amended marriage certificate. We immediately proceeded to the Local County Registrar's Office to rectify the document. Unaware that amendment to marriage certificates are now processed in Sacramento and a response takes about four (4) weeks to ONE (1) YEAR. We went bananas! On that same day, that very afternoon, anxious and panicky, I posted a barrage of "Please help!" emails to Atty Allison. It was almost 9:00pm her last message was "Don't stress yourself. This is what we plan to do..." How cool is that ?(!) Just last week Atty.
