I was able to purchase things needed for the tank at his shop as well. The diversity of the fish Blue Hook Aquatics offers is amazing ! From fresh water to salt water he's got the perfect match for you! We got our two angel fish as well as some sucker fish from this shop :). We love it ! Do not trust the advice from Petsmart workers , they aren't knowledgeable and most the fish we purchased died within the first couple days ! They specialize in fish here, not like a run of the mill pet store does. They actually quarantine the new fish and make sure they are well before selling them. This is my new go to Aquarium store. Sure the prices are a bit higher here, but the old saying has never been more true, you get what you pay for. You want quality? You gotta spend a little more, which to me is great. I've gotten a few marine fish from this store, and they always did well in my saltwater tank. I do however think the corals might be a bit on the pricey side, but they're quality! I come here often for RO/DI water and can't help but the browse their fish selection. The staff are super helpful and quite knowledgeable. If you're looking to get into the hobby, or looking for a place to stock your tank, check this place out.

If you need small fish or even want to purchase larger fish (such as carp that is already full grown), you can do that here. They have large bins filled with water that you can easily see what is available to purchase. In front of the store, they have several man-made ponds where they hatch the fish and allow them to grow before putting them out for those to purchase. They have also been very helpful with wisdom and advice for how to raise fish and what types of fish to put in a pond. The staff is very friendly!

Beautiful Discus!…read more Went there yesterday and bought 3 of the most beautiful discus I have ever seen. We have been raising them over 20 years and are just getting back into it. He helped out letting us know the new discus are quite hardy compared to last time we had them. We had read that but it was nice to be assured of it. Don't waste your time!…read more I visited this aquatic establisment today and was offended that this place was open. As a store in general the setup wasn't bad for it size. The south wall was three rows high of various size freshwater tanks from 10 to 30g about 25-30 ft. long. The size of the Saltwater displays double that. Plenty of room for the potential of a good store. The health of the fish was the last thing on this shops agenda. At least one dead fish in every tank, but usually more. The live fish seemed to be only surviving by eating the remains of fallen tankmates. No decoration in the tanks less the scarce substrate that was the same in all tanks. We spent about 3 minutes in there, while the clerk watched movies at the front counter, interrupted by aquaintences from neighboring stores who stopped in to chat. Wish I would have never saw it.
