Wanting to get my hair dyed before vacation I called Aqua Terra Salon about a week before my appointment and booked! Not knowing what I wanted to do before hand I finally decided on the Florida Bleach Blonde look. I have tried to get this from other salons in the area and no one had came close. I was fed up of aluminum foils and highlights and wanted something different. My stylist was Barb and she paitently listened and went for it. She consultated with a few coloring experts in the salon and afterwards went to work. As a result my hair did end up having to be colored twice to get the brassiness out of it but it looked great by the time she blow dryed it! If you want stylist who actually LISTEN to you instead of doing what they think you want then go here! The place was clean, the receptionist was so nice and always asking me if I wanted a bottle water, or a glass of wine....um... yes please.... I will definitely be a return customer. read more

I think they cuts they do are pretty good. Coloring is a little pricey for me. Last all over color I got there wasn't even close to what I showed my stylist. They seem to have preferred longtime customers that are treated differently. This is just my observation. read more

Where to begin? 2 years ago I found Romeo and have nothing but AMAZING things to say about him. Since I got there, he treated me like if I've known him for decades. He is personable, friendly and incredibly pleasant. I have moved 30 min away and I still drive all the way there because I trust him. He has been doing this for years! Also, the salon is always clean, since you get there the front desk is engaging and they make sure your experience is top notch. When you get there, they will offer you a drink and throughout the entire interaction they will talk to you! They also have a discount referral program that is amazing! 20% off on both ends!!! I decided about a year ago to grow out my very curly hair. Well that was a huge mistake. It was a big mess, a mop, just terrible. I went to Bethany and what can I say? She cut it off and did some foils and a new color and a Miracle was created. I have never gotten so much positive attention ever. Everybody loves it! I have been a client of this salon for approximately three years. My stylist moved to her own salon and I followed her; however, I continue to visit Aqua Terra's nail salon. Dina is great. I have only occasionally had to wait a few minutes after my scheduled time. The salon is attractive. The staff friendly and professional. Eva's skill level with cutting hair is on par with Great Clips or Fantastic Sams. The cut did not resemble the style I showed her and after one week, my hair did not fall properly in place. After three weeks, I desperately needed another cut to fix what she did. read more

This place is in a dumpy strip mall near Chic Fil A. My cousin and I went in for a consultation and we had the misfortune of dealing with Rachel C. a stylist at this salon who speaks like a truck driver and tries to shove her political ideals down your throat. The first thing we noticed were the hairy dark brown wood floors. Since most the hair on the floor was dark, I guess they just assumed the nasty discarded hair was fine to leave on the floor, it just blends right in! Rachel was downright nasty. She was extremely opinionated and brought up topics that had zero relevance to asking about an up-do. She wore a plastic choker around her neck like it was 1998. Considering we were just trying to see if my cousin's very fine hair would last in an up-do for six hours it was an extremely off-putting experience. My advice: go around the corner (in either direction) to Target or Walmart and ask one the cashiers to style your hair on their break. They will most certainly do a better job! read more

Way overpriced! Bob asked me if I wanted my hair blow dried after getting it colored. Of course I said yes. Then I go to pay and see he charged me $20 extra for the blow drying. What?!? I guess you're supposed to walk out like a wet dog? Blow drying should be included in every service where you end with them washing your hair. Used to be good, but now they overbook the stylists and they are juggling working on multiple people at same time. I've had my hair screwed up last two times I went. I have brown hair, asked for highlights with a few brown low lights, walked out with horrible black hair due to stylist too busy worrying about cutting bangs of 5 year old! Also have had to wait over 30 minutes for my appointment due to stylists taking walkin before me with an appointment. They don't sweep hair off the floor often enough. Just leave it laying there. In addition the parking is terrible, good luck finding a spot around lunch time. I won't be going back. read more

I recently had an appointment with Barb as a new client. I took in three pictures of how I would like my short hair cut. She claimed it would be no problem duplicating the look I showed her. I specifically detailed what I needed and wanted, especially some height on the top of my head. When she started cutting, I was wondering why she was cutting so much, but wanted to give her a chance in completing the look. Turned out, she "sheared me like a sheep"!!!!! I was devastated at how short it was all over my head. She had cut it all leaving 1 inch length of hair all over my head...nothing at all like the pictures we discussed. I looked AWFUL and asked her which picture she thought she achieved, since I looked NOTHING like the pictures. She simply said that my hair was not like the models in the picture and I would just have to get used to it. She said she was sorry, but it would look better in 2 weeks. What do I do in the mean time since I can not even use a brush or curling iron to style my SEVERELY short locks? WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND HER TO ANYONE...NOT EVEN A SHEEP. Poor customer service. I had an appointment today that was set up 6 weeks in advance. I show up 5 minutes before my appointment time and check in with one of the girls at the reception. She says she will let my stylist Sherri know that I am here and asks me to take a seat. I wait patiently - 15 minutes past my appointment time I see Sherri pass by and I smile at her - no response. I figured, possibly a busy day - maybe she is preoccupied. I continue waiting - I wait for more than 45 minutes hearing Sherri tapping away with a client. Finally I walk up to the front desk and ask how long is the wait going to be, reminding them I had been waiting for more than 45 min. So now the lady at the front desk asks me my name and when was my appointment like I wasn't supposed to be there. She then talks to Sherri and she comes to the front and says sorry no one told her that I was there. How ridiculous? You don't check your schedule and manage your time!! And become defensive by saying no one told her. Attitude matters when you provide a service. The was downright a show of bad attitude. read more
