During the close of a real estate transaction, the buyer became concerned of a leak in the bathroom. Faruk came out right away to run tests and assure the buyer there were no issues or concerns. I really appreciate how responsive he was and how quickly he helped us get the concern resolved, so the transaction could move forward. read more

Faruk came out to look at two toilets that we have. One was running constantly and the other one was identical to it. He immediately diagnosed what the problem was, and I really appreciated that he took the time to explain exactly what was wrong. The fix was straightforward and he completed the job right away. I liked that he was passionate about his work AND he had a great sense of humor (he was here during the evening with my dog and two kids running around like crazy - he was great with all three!). We will definitely be calling Aqua Smart Plumbing for all of our plumbing needs. Faruk was truly great, and I also appreciated that I never felt pressured into fixing the problem right away or like I was being sold the entire time. He was genuine and straightforward. Thanks, Faruk! read more

Faruk has done several projects for us, and he is the only plumber we call. He is reliable and professional, and always goes above and beyond to make sure the job is done right. He just rodded our line, which I thought was going to be a routine job but turned out to be more difficult. Faruk was up to the challenge and made the job look easy. read more

Very thorough and knows their stuff, without over charging. Highly recommend for bath plumbing repairs from an honest technician and reputable company. read more

Can't rate Faruk highly enough. Sooner or later you need a trusted, affordable, honest plumber, and he's your guy. We had a valve break behind our shower. The first guy recommended $4,000 worth of new copper piping and essentially a redo of our shower. We called Faruk for a second opinion and, after telling us to ignore the first quote, he was able to fix the problem for a fraction of the cost. We were so impressed with his work and demeanor that we called him again when we had a sink line break. Couldn't be happier with the results! read more

I am an engineer, and truly appreciate seeing elegant, clean and well thought-trough solutions. Faruk at Aqua Smart is that. Everything is exact, clean, upfront, well-explained and warrantied. As you hope it will be. read more

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! I never write reviews but I've dealt with a lot of plumbers in my lifetime. Faruk was very professional. Called before heading over. Showed up on time. Was upfront with costs. Made sure everything worked and that I was completely satisfied before wanting payment. Hopefully I won't need a plumber again, but if I do, I know who I'm calling. read more

Faruk was on time, professional, prompt and very efficient! In addition to being affordable he is also very polite and pays heed to his customers home. We will definitely use their services if we find ourselves in need of a plumber in the future. read more

I'm going to jump on the Faruk love train and add my own experience. He's extremely professional and I felt completely trustworthy. I had a leaky kitchen faucet and he managed to fit me in on a busy Monday. He even recommended a better faucet to replace my old Moen, which I thought was pretty good. I would not hesitate to use him again or to recommend him to others. read more

My search for a reliable, honest, efficient plumber is over! Faruk came exactly when he said he would, explained the problem, went right out to buy the part that I needed, and drove back to my house in rush hour so that he wouldn't leave me without a kitchen faucet overnight! Totally reasonable on price and great to work with. read more

I've worked with Faruk and Aqua Smart Plumbing on 2 different properties on the north side of Chicago - owned and rental. He is fair, trustworthy and comprehensive. From simple toilet installations to tracking down complicated leaks, he has been very dependable for us, and he pays great attention to the details. I have highly recommend him to my friends and family in the past with great results, and I'm happy to support him here on Yelp. read more

Faruk redid the plumbing in our bathroom during a recent renovation. He was very professional, always on time and did excellent work. Our pipes were very old, and the vent pipe was partially disconnected from the main stack. Faruk replaced all the old plumbing and installed our new fixtures. He also helped us reinstall our radiator. The pricing was fair and upfront - no extras tacked on or surprise fees. He also answered my many questions very patiently! I would definitely recommend Aqua Smart, and plan on using them again in the future. read more

I highly recommend Aqua Smart Plumbing! Faruk was fantastic! I will be using them for all of my plumbing needs in the future. Thank you!!!!

The basement water valve and drain plug for our outside water faucet was originally plumbed adjacent to, above and to the side of our electric service panel. We had been warned it violated code and that if it ever malfunctioned and leaked or sprayed, water could flood our electric service panel. Several professionals suggested we have it moved to avoid this danger. A neighbor recommended Faruk. We arranged for him to come to our home. He investigated the issue and recommended several alternatives, answered our questions and suggested the best solution that would also be cost effective. He carefully described exactly what he would do to solve the problem and also explained why he would provide service in this manner. He referred to a written listing of his charges for this and other plumbing work and provided a written quote. His vehicle, his uniform and his communication was highly professional. He provided his background, experience, and certification. We already had a recommendation from a trusted neighbor. He arrived on time on the agreed upon date and efficiently and effectively executed the job exactly how he had initially described it. He also showed us what he had accomplished several times during his installation. When completed he demonstrated how the faucet worked and informed us what we should do when the temperature dropped during fall and winter. It has an all weather valve and we do not need to turn it off. We merely have to remove the garden hose. We are extremely satisfied with his work, the fee including hardware and labor was fair and reasonable, and we will forthwith contact Faruk for any and all plumbing needs! read more

Faruk was very good with his communication before he came out to service our toilet. He assessed the problem quickly and came up with several reasonable quotes for the current problem and other problems we could have down the road. The work was done quickly and with little problem. I'm planning to have Aqua Smart come back to additional work this Summer that other companies turned down. Faruk knows his stuff. I am very pleased with the level of service that he and Aqua Smart provided. read more

I would never use AquaSmart again or recommend them. Faruk spent 20 minutes changing a kitchen faucet and charged me $295. He was also agreed to reset the temperature on my new tankless hot water heater. He said he would not charge for that...nice! since he had already overcharged me for the faucet. He told me he installed tankless systems all the time and it would be no problem. I think not. When he could not make the change he tried to pull up the installation instructions on the internet. When that didn't work he told me to find the installation instructions that came with the unit so he could look up how to reset the temperature. By that time I was pretty uncomfortable with and pretty sure he didn't know anything about tankless hot water heaters. I asked him to leave - with his $295 for 20 minutes of work. There are lots of good plumbers in Chicago. Don't use this guy. read more

Faruk is easy to trust, a good communicator and reasonably priced. Have had him do multiple jobs for us at our current house and our previous one. Will use him going forward as well. read more

We used AquaSmart for a number of plumbing issues in our house in Wilmette. We had some issues with old piping that corroded, and he replaced the whole thing. Sometime later, we had a leaky pipe that was behind a wall and he took care of that. It seems to me, the best quality you can ask for is to have someone you can trust, who isn't going to mark a job up too high, that is going to explain it to you, and do a great job. In our experience with Aquasmart, they have always hit the mark. read more
