Paul, the owner sold me an engine which he stated to be in perfect running condition. He even sent me videos of the engine running, they must have been old videos because once I had purchased it and brought it to my certified mechanic to have installed, we found that the lower unit had many broken parts related to the water pump and a seized shift shaft. These issues were not disclosed before the sale, he lied. My mechanic also stated that the lower unit was held on by one nut. It looked like he needed the original lower unit and slapped on a piece of junk to make it look presentable for a sale. I am now stuck with the price of fixing the engine he sold me plus the install. He will not return phone calls or emails. This is a poor way to do business, he clearly took advantage of my inexperience with outboard engines. Honestly, beware of Aqua Marina, there are many other places in the area which can provide exceptional service, however Aqua Marina is not one of them. For some reason yelp did not feature this review, but customers need to know what to expect when doing business with this marina so I am reposting it. read more
