First lunch in Portugal did not disappoint. We got the Insulata di Burrata to share which was incredibly fresh. For my entree, I got the Aglio, Olio e Peperoncino - which was essentially spicy butter noodles. It was delicious and you could tell the pasta was homemade. We visited the beach and wanted to pick a dinner spot that would be good and also something our kids would enjoy. I wanted to try aqafarina based on the good google reviews. The chef I guess wasn't there that day but we only learned this after eating. I still felt the pasta was very delicious. The ragu ravioli was tasty, it has bacon so of course it'll be great. The seafood linguini was also savory with fresh seafood. We got the tomato sauce spaghetti for the kids which personally I thought was a little plain but it was perfect for my picky toddlers. I had read earlier about how they plate your pasta from the pan somewhat in front of you. It didn't seem like a show, just how they did things, so I don't know if it added much for me. The only reason I didn't give the business a 5 star was the young man waiter didn't seem the greatest. He greeted us when we came in but didn't direct us to sit. Maybe he thought we were still deciding on eating there but it made me think that I had to order standing. Later after we did seat, he stood in front of wall mirror to address something on his face. I felt there was a more appropriate time to do this and maybe when customers weren't around. There was a different waiter that came around later who seemed much more professional and pleasant. read more

Wow! Handmade fresh pasta. Lots of classic options and vegans and vegetarians rejoice! You've got options like olive oil and pepper, pesto, truffle, mushroom, and arrabiata. I went for my favorite - arrabiata. Table mates went for mushroom, olive oil and pepper, and carbonara . A bit of a wait as the pasta is made fresh, so plenty of time for a Sagres! To tide us over, we also got a bit of bread and Parmesan. Maybe you're supposed to eat it with the pasta, but we treated it like breadsticks at Olive Garden. Also a bit of focaccia. So... the arrabiata pasta. 6 freaking stars. Talk about the perfect pasta, simple and perfectly flavorful with just the right amount of spice. I'm in love with this dish! I can't fail to mention the service was incredible and a lovely complement to the ambiance. This is the best pasta I've had in my life. We found out the "chain" has three locations in Italia, but the daughter came to Cascais and there's how we got such a gem here. Whatever your inclination: omni, vegan, vegetarian, do not miss this opportunity for the best pasta you're going to get. Ever! Thanks to the entire staff for making our week in Portugal. read more

I came in late for dinner and I was pleasantly surprised with everything. The food was delicious, perfectly cooked, the house white wine was very good and it paired perfectly with my seafood linguine. I didn't try the dessert, but they looked great too. Service was excellent. I recommend this restaurant if you are in Cascais. read more

My friends and I are visiting Portugal for the first time, and stumbled Aqafarnia based good reviews. An authentic Italian restaurant, I truly felt like I was in Italy with the fresh meats, cheese and pastas! We ordered the Grandi Formaggi Italiani platter and it was an excellent blend of cheeses and fresh cut meats! We also shared the Insalata Caprese - the mozzarella cheese was wonder!!! Lastly, we shared the Ragú allá bolognese - chef's kiss! We're picky pasta eaters, but this was so good! Definitely a 5/5 for the food, service, and ambiance! If you want absolutely fresh pasta courtesy of a Florentine chef, look no further. The pastas were all perfectly prepared--we had one pesto, one mushroom and one bolognese. All were excellent! We only had a very short time to eat before we had to return to our tour. They accommodated us in record time! We both ordered Gorgonzola Gnocchi and it was delivered fresh in about 7 minutes.
