We stopped in to Aptos Vineyards tasting room on a Thursday afternoon. What a beautiful little tasting area! Everything about it was lovely. We started as the only two people in the tasting room, but very shortly the entire room was full of all kinds of return customers, mostly wine club members. We sampled their beautiful wines, which were quite good, and enjoyed them. There was no pressure to purchase wine, the tasting room server was as pleasant and knowledgeable as she possibly could have been. She was swamped with people, and someone did come to help her. I loved the location of this tasting room and even though it was small it was nicely appointed and felt akin to someone's living room. The wine is excellent. If you can put up with the staff. Rude and pretentious. I went in today to purchase my favorite wines as a gift. Not only did the male employee fail to make eye contact or greet me. The female employee made a comment about how "wow - you are really making me do my steps today...". The place is very small. I dropped $200.00 and was never offered a sample. The atmosphere was pretentious and unwelcoming. I highly recommend the wine - but know that if you go - you want to get in and out get out. read more

This is my go to when I'm in the area for work! Great wines, great service, easy location to find. I'd be a member if I was local. The Syrah and the rose are on the top of my list, but also love the Sauvignon Blanc and people rave about the Merlot! They offer monthly trivia and bingo nights as well! read more

Love this place! I went to their grand opening and got to meet the staff an owners. Everyone was so nice and I got to try a bunch of new wines. My favorite was their Pinot noir! The place was easy to find, easy parking, and great outdoor cozy seating. Brian got to know my palate very well and was honest about which wine I might like and well, he was right! read more

So the atmosphere was fine, probably their highlight. Gotta try everything once, but don't think I'll be back for some time. The wine itself is so so, average maybe. Tart, acid and simple. Quite pricey for an unknown brand too. The part that really irks me is they don't even make their own wine, some other guy does. Sad to see the wine industry trend toward the elites and rich. Nothing personal but there are a lot of wineries just in Monterey and SC alone that are family run from the ground up. Seems unfair to support a hobby business model over those who sacrifice as a way of life. But hey, to each their own. Maybe the wines will get better in the coming vintages. read more
