    BRAT Pide

Apte is a great place to pop in, local but also quite secluded even though by a main road it's pretty quiet! Food is very quickly prepared and also delicious! I had the BRAT pide and it's pretty stacked, so it feels good value for money. Will return often as we are close by but it's not just convenience it's the quality

Three thin slices of cheap and nasty ham on a slice and a half of sourdough: $15. Never again

Food didn't taste bad but it's unimaginative and terribly overpriced. This place has the worst staff in Melbourne: slow, unfriendly and unhelpful (a delightful combination). Would suggest just about anywhere else.

Slow service. Terrible coffee. We used to go here all the time but I won't be going back again.

I was wondering why such a popular spot would be so isolated? But all is well worth the effort to get here. The venue is brimming with natural lighting, classic charm and warmth. For my breakfast, I ordered the Pixelated avocado (on a sourdough toast) because it just looked so darn intriguing. I didn't expect anything else to be honest, and turned out this was GOOD!! Every single element in this dish has complex flavors that compliments each other. The chili dried air kale, diced pixelated avocado and the soft shell crab was especially stunning. The dish certainly performs to its Instagram ability. For my drink, I ordered their matcha latte; it was strong tasting yet smooth. I could drink this all day! The Light Years is certainly not disappointing in any way, from the beautiful venue to the outstanding food, supported with service and ambiance for days. Easily, my favorite brunch spot in town at the moment and much to recommend you :).

Recently opened at the bottom of a new apartment block just along from the Camberwell tram depot, it should not be confused with Lights in the Attic cafe which is a bit further down Camberwell Road. The fit out is the now common scandi/minimalist affair with a smattering of potted greenery. Coffee is from Dukes, but the star of the show here is the food. All the dishes I saw coming out looked great and were good sized portions. I had the bircher and it was a generous serve, looked pretty and tasted even better. Overall a good value and tasty option for brunch/lunch in the leafy inner east.

I walked past this place earlier and decided to come back later because it looked like a bar. Well,…read moreit isn't really a bar, it is more a cafe that has a rather nice courtyard out the back. I found that the service too bad, and they were reasonably helpful as well, but the food choices didn't seem to be all that great. Still they did make some rather nice, and quite crispy, fries, so I did actually like that. Yet, the place didn't seem to jump out at me in the way that some places tend to do. I was nice, but not as great as some.

I ordered the chilli scrambled eggs. These had a pleasant nicely balanced warm lips generating flavour. I initially thought the dish but a little light on for eggs. The sourdough the eggs were were perched was good but a little bit thick. But, by the end I thought I was probably wrong about those two aspects. The dish was very nice and the size was basically perfect. Other meals were much enjoyed by our party of 6 including the world's most beautiful woman's pumpkin toastswith avocado, chick peas, oven roasted tomatoes, etc. There was delightful service throughout from a number of servers including one in a beanie and black t shirt who was exceptional. Conclusion: a perfectly good well run place with very good food and nice service. Not mush else needed is there.
