As someone who has been through physical therapy for both shoulder and hip repairs, I can confidently say this experience has been the best. I came to Josh with severe low back pain, decades-old neck pain, and lingering issues with my right shoulder from a previous surgery. At the time, I couldn't even sit for more than a few minutes without discomfort. After just a few months of therapy, I am now completely pain-free, back on my mountain bike, and running again. Josh's knowledge and dedication are unmatched. He carefully customized exercises, strength training, and mobility work to meet my specific needs and goals. His attention to detail and commitment to my progress made all the difference. The front desk staff is equally amazing--always welcoming, cheerful, and ready to go the extra mile to make you feel at home during your healing journey. I can't say enough about Amy Pakula and her unique, specialized and compassionate approach to…read morepatient care! This is a talented woman with a gift for what she does. I was referred to Amy and Momentum PT by another physical therapist who was equally as frustrated as I was with the lack of results I had achieved from years of PT. As someone that trains daily (with poorly shaped hips, chronic Achilles tendonosis, migraines and an auto-immune disorder), countless PT's over the years have waved the white flag, giving up when their standard protocols didn't yield results. So, it's safe to say that I've grown to be a bit pessimistic when it comes to bold statements and promises of less pain and more mobility. I tried to go into my first consultation with Amy open minded, though I'd grown pessimistic when it came to PT's. When I reached out to Amy, I was suffering from chronic shoulder impingement that was keeping from training in the pool, weight room, and mountain bike. I simply couldn't workout without getting a migraine. Overuse injuries had taken their toll and I was a mess and felt broken physically. I knew from my first phone consultation with Amy, that she was different. One of the greatest gifts that Amy gave me out of the gate was hope. Her approach, her style, her compassionate and thoughtful response to the questions I answered immediately made me feel optimistic. After my first session I sensed that Amy was someone with vision. Her out of the box approach to her practice is what I desperately needed. Within weeks Amy had reduced the frequency and severity of my migraines (something no other healthcare practitioner had achieved in twenty+ years) and she got me back to my exercise routines that are so critical to my physical and mental health. I was so encouraged--and blown away--by her ability to guide me back to my activities that we began addressing other chronic issues such as my hips and Achilles (issues that have been addressed by a dozen+ PT's with underwhelming results). Once again, the results with Amy were staggering. My plans for double hip replacements (in my thirties) went out the window. I had the most active and pain free summer I can remember because of my work with Momentum PT. Amy Pakula is special! I've never met another therapist like her. She's passionate about what she does and making a difference. There's no cookie cutter approach with Amy. She takes her thoughtful and specialized method and customizes a plan, and when something isn't working, she adapts, adjusts and reloads. Amy Pakula (Momentum Physical Therapy) is a game-changer.

I was measured for a knee brace by Milica Livesay(aka Milica McDowell) after a severe car accident…read moreand surgery to repair a torn meniscus and ACL. She failed to get the knee brace adjusted in a timely fashion in spite of numerous requests. It was her way of forcing me to stay in touch with her. Ultimately it was adjusted but too late. It caused me another blood clot in my leg and put me back on blood thinners which I had come off. It also caused nerve damage to my lower left leg. I don't feel 3/4 of my left foot and 1/2 of my left calf. After seeing an Orthopedic Surgeon after nerve testing it was determined it was best to not operate. Because of the multiple compression spots in my leg coinciding with the knee brace They determined they didn't know which spot to release and more damage could be done. If I lose all feeling then they will try to do something.
