BEWARE: Vehicle Stolen After Following Hotel Staff Instructions…read more My husband, granddaughter, and I arrived at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Dallas Park Central Area on May 28 at approximately 10:00 p.m. after a six-hour drive. Because our high-profile pickup truck would not fit in the underground parking garage, we went to the front desk to ask for guidance. The front desk employee, Latasha, informed us that we could park directly outside the front entrance under the awning as long as we displayed a parking slip she provided. I specifically asked whether there was any risk of being towed, and she assured me that as long as the slip was visible on the windshield, our truck would be fine. The following morning, May 29, after breakfast, we walked to the front desk and immediately noticed our truck was no longer where we had left it. Latasha was working that morning, and when I questioned her, she went to the back office after we requested to speak with a manager. Instead, another male employee came out to address the situation. After I explained what had happened, his response was, "We don't tow." Our 2021 Chevy Silverado Carhartt Edition had been stolen from directly in front of the hotel entrance, under the awning, after being parked there at the direction of hotel staff! What was supposed to be a relaxing getaway weekend with our granddaughter quickly turned into dealing with police, insurance and the claim process, & OnStar, all while coping with the theft of our only vehicle. I encourage future guests to carefully consider their parking options and ask detailed questions about vehicle security. Based on our experience, I would recommend choosing accommodations that offer secured parking or valet services.

Although I have yet to…read morestay at this hotel, I do notice the upkeep of the hotel, the ballroom areas the dance setup is in and the bathrooms are kept clean. The staff ensures paper towels are in the restrooms, as well as soap. I've seen them often throughout this 3 day convention. Parking is very limited, so the earlier you arrive before such an event, the better chances in scoring a parking space. Otherwise, you have to park in the garage and pay. I do recall one year, we didn't have to pay for this event but not sure if that is the same. We were blessed to get parking both times we came to watch our daughter :)

Sometimes the best travel decisions are the ones made under pressure…read more After an Airbnb stay that didn't quite deliver, my family and I found ourselves in need of a last-minute reset something reliable, comfortable, and, most importantly, close to the airport ahead of an early departure. Embassy Suites by Hilton Irving Las Colinas offered exactly that: a soft landing when we needed it most. Traveling as a group: my mother, my husband, our 12-year-old son, and myself can make spontaneity tricky. But the ease of securing a suite that could accommodate all of us felt like a small victory in the midst of an otherwise hectic day. From the moment we arrived, the tone shifted. The front desk agent greeted us with a warmth that felt genuine rather than scripted, and what could have been a routine check-in became something more thoughtful. One particularly welcome feature: the ability to choose our room. With her guidance, we landed on a space that felt tailored to our needs rather than assigned at random. The property itself struck a careful balance between polished and inviting. It was clean, well-maintained, and subtly festive an Easter-themed backdrop in the lobby offered families a chance to pause and capture the moment, a detail that felt both intentional and charming. Our suite delivered on every front. Spacious without feeling excessive, it featured a king bed alongside a pullout sofa perfect for our son plus a small kitchenette and dining table that quickly became his gaming station for the evening. It's these small, functional touches that make a short stay feel seamless. Later, I made my way downstairs for the evening reception. The bartender, navigating a steady crowd with admirable efficiency, kept things moving despite the rush. While the drink selection was modest, the atmosphere carried a convivial energy that made up for it guests unwinding, conversations flowing, the quiet hum of shared travel stories. I also found a pocket of calm in the lobby, where I was able to catch up on work another reminder that this is a hotel designed with real-life travelers in mind. We didn't have time to explore every amenity, but the overall impression was clear: refreshed, thoughtfully updated, and quietly dependable. In the end, it was exactly what we needed a comfortable, well-timed stay that turned a stressful detour into something unexpectedly pleasant.

Loved that they give two free drinks to the hotel bar each night for happy hour which was great for our group. Breakfast was excellent for a hotel, with a mix of continental, hot buffet, and made to order options.

However he didn't have a problem charging me up front (even though he said he wouldn't until the work was complete). I ended up having to drive to Houston to get my Passport back and go to the consulates office on my own. I am still waiting on a refund and plan to press charges if it's not resolved. Once you have paid for the service and sent them your passports you will not be able to get in contact with them again. You can leave message after message and never get a return call. I did not get the Visa's on or near the date promised. Also, when I received my credit card bill I had an additional charge that I did not authorize of $600 to the Chinese Visa Office Houston TX. This was on top of the $900 I had already paid International Passports. I tried to contact them and of course I can not get anyone to return my call. I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company. I would give this company a D-. The only reason I do not give them an F is because I did FINALLY receive the Visa's two days before the travel date. BTW, the review below from John C. is John Chambers, he works for this company.
