I need to have an Ice Maker installed. which the company I brought it from could not send anyone able to do so for over month and after three time send some one who couldn't. Though Appliance Service Center didn't do the work they were the only appliance company willing to schedule an appointment and agree to provide service. Jim L read more

This place is amazing! I had a 4 year old LG Refrigerator that stopped cooling. When I called them, I wasn't able to get an appointment for 2 weeks (pretty typical these days with delays and shortages everywhere), but unlike other repair companies, they were able to confidently diagnose a failed compressor over the phone and ordered my replacements parts so that they would be ready for my appointment. I was quoted 2-4 hours of work and about $500, which I thought wasn't bad considering I paid $2,000 for the fridge. The repairman arrived that afternoon, was efficient and courteous. From the time he arrived until he left, it was only 1.5 hrs and my compressor was under warranty so it only cost me $128. I am absolutely thrilled with their professionalism and efficiency. My refrigerator is back up and running thanks to them! I would highly recommend them! read more

Service was fast and easy. Everyone I spoke with was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. And they were able to order a replacement part much faster than I expected. read more

This is the most awful company I have ever dealt with or close to it. Not only did they not show up. They didn't even tell me they were cancelling until the last minute after we waited all day. This is beyond unacceptable. Do not ever purchase a warranty from them. We were stuck because the warranty was transferred to us but please be aware. Do not buy from them. Do not purchase any warranties from GE appliances. They will use this horrible company. The only silver lining is the next time a sales person asks me to purchase a warranty I can decline using this company as the reason read more

This place is killing me Called in am they had repairman at house the same day - only to find out he doesn't have the part I need for my dryer - wasted a day sitting around waiting and now I'll have to waste another day when the part comes in - very frustrating read more

How can you say you're an appliance service repair service then say oh we don't work on your brand. If you're going to put yourself out there as an appliance service repair company, you should be able to work on all brands or at least know someone who does. The lady o. The phone was very nice but it was a waste of time to call them and they say oh we don't work on Samsung. Oh well hope you all don't waste your time calling them. If you have a Samsung applicable the Appliance Repair Service is not equipped to handle it. read more

BE AWARE - APPLIANCE SERVICE CENTER, PITTSBURGH On Monday, September 16th, a service technician came to my house to diagnose my refrigerator/freezer that had went out over the weekend. I paid $128.40 for the emergency service call. The technician diagnosed the following simply by looking into the back of the refrigerator for less than one minute. He never opened the sealed nor tested anything. From his brief look, he told me the following items would need to be replaced: Compressor (covered) Condenser ($145.58) Dryer filter ($60) Total amount for service would be $647.98 Total w service call $776.38 Because it would've been sometime this week before the parts would be in and the service could be scheduled, LG had a spot for service come open on Friday of last week so I had them repair the refrigerator. The compressor was the only thing needing replaced - the condenser was operating just fine. The technician told me there is NO WAY that your technician could have known if the condenser needed replaced because he had not opened the sealed area and tested it. To beat it all, I called this morning to talk to a manager and the receptionist put me on the phone with the technician who diagnosed the refrigerator. And you can imagine how that conversation went - He had a TOTALLY DIFFERENT STORY - of course he did - HE IS A LIAR AND A CHEAT - people like that do not tell the truth and always try to cover their tracks. I am not a stupid female - I work with people in all trades and have learned much over my years of doing so I know more than the average bird and I listen. Obviously, I would NOT recommend this company to anyone as they are not reputable and trustworthy. read more

I like this place because it's family run. My last repair was on our refrigerator. Parts were ordered quickly and installed in a timely manner. Technician was friendly. As was the office staff I spoke with. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for reliable service! read more

Rude, unprofessional, and lazy. I had a service appointment scheduled and they would not even come to my house to see what was wrong with my washing machine. They insisted on ordering parts for my washing machine before they ever even came to look at it. I'm sure this guessing kind of work is convenient for them, but I assure you it is not convenient for the customer. The lady I spoke to was rude and unprofessional. read more

They replaced my compressor on 9-9-19 the fridge cooled until 9-29 -19. I had another repair service company come out and they told me I have a refrigeration leak and I probably never needed a compressor. The only reason I contacted another company is because I wanted second opinion and I do not trust appliance service company. So after charging me 540 dollars plus another 127 for other company and appliance service telling me that can not service it again until October 23 2019. I feel I was ripped off never do business with appliance service company read more

I wish I had read the other reviews before calling these people. My washing machine door wouldn't latch. The guy they sent spend 5 mins and charged us $140. After 2 loads it was broken again! Instead of offering to send someone to do it right they wanted to charge us again to fix it! Don't waste you time or money. read more

Just call someone else. Lol. The guy they sent to service my dryer made every excuse so he didn't have to work. He didn't want to walk down the block because I had no more parking available. I even offered to help carry his tools for him! Call another company, and a guy came the following day...and fixed my issue in 15 minutes. read more

When I decided our old gas dryer was worth trying to have fixed rather than replacing, I looked for a repair service the old fashioned way: the phone book. Appliance Service Center had a big display ad and promised quick service, so I called them. This was on a Wednesday. They offered a service call on Thursday, but I couldn't be home; we settled on Friday. They sent and email reminder right away. On Friday morning, the repairman called when he was ten minutes away. He was polite and efficient, and got the job done in half an hour. The repair turned out to be much more affordable than I had expected, and the repair process was no trouble at all. Edited to add: Yelp lists their business hours as running until 5:00, but they are closed by 4:30. Let's see if their next repair goes as smoothly as the last ... read more

DON"T WASTE YOUR TIME! DO'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! They ask me to call at 9:00 as instructed by them to see when they would be out. I did and they said between 1 and 4. I work the night shift so was happy to hear I would get a few hours sleep. I wake up at 10:10 to voices. I start hollering down stairs "wait don't leave, why are you here now"? He hands a receipt to my son and stops to say to call if we want the "frig" fixed. I said "oh great $112.00 for NOTHING!" The written instructions were one word and I could not read it. I called Monday to have someone fix the frig and was told their repairman won't come out because I hollered at him and they would have to call me back. I tried to explain my side of the situation and she transferred me to someone who said the same. That was over a month ago. read more

These people could not care less. I am still waiting for my washer dryer to get fixed -its been almost a month now and I am being told that they don't even know when the technician will return. The technician has been here 4 times already. Each time there is supposedly something else wrong and so they have to order another part. Miraculously the part is wrong (first week), They forgot to order the second part (2nd week), Part comes in but they need a suppossed other part and it will be "another 3-5 days"(3rd week), Fourth week rolls by and they "don't know" when its coming in (thats up to the distributor). When I ask for an ETA (because I am wearing dirty clothes, and I am sick of technicians coming back 5 times and I already took off a week of work to meet these people) the cus.t service rep gets mad at me and offers me a refund. (The washer is on warranty) They obviously don't want to deal with any problems they created. So now I have to call the distributor to see when the part is coming in (yup, thats YOUR job Appliance Service Center!). read more

Repairman arrived at my home without the necessary parts to do the repair. Not a huge deal except I work an hour away from my home so it's a problem when I take time off and don't get the intended result. When I called for the estimate the next week they informed me that the part had already been ordered...when in fact it hadn't. They called back to say that they did not order the part and it would be X dollars. Not only did they charge MORE than they quoted they installed a BLACK handle on a stainless refrigerator. Very rude when I called them out on it and then lied about it. They said they spoke to my husband about the increase in price and installing the WRONG COLOR because the Stainless wasn't available. Who, in their right mind, would pay $312 for the WRONG color handle? Do not trust them. read more

See below. Originally gave them one star, but they called and offered me an earlier appointment for today. I would have given 5 stars had it not been for the awful scheduling experience referred to below. The service technician was prompt, friendly, and seemed well-trained and knowledgeable. I would use this company again, (and have little choice, because they're the authorized LG service provider) but would be very clear and careful about accepting any scheduling promises. Here's what I wrote just a couple days ago: I haven't had my appointment yet, so I may well revise my rating if they do a good job, but... I bought an LG washer on November 24, and the very next day I called LG service because it was rocking quite a bit. They referred me to this business, and sent a repair request to them. I immediately called Appliance Repair Service, and they hadn't gotten the request yet, and told me they would call back when they received it. It was Thanksgiving week, so I didn't expect them to come until the following week, but I would be out of town the week after that, and I told them so. They promised to call me and schedule when they got the repair request. Fast forward to December 28, still no call. I called, and they said they had no record of a request, and that they delete them after 4 days if nothing's scheduled! I had to call LG again for another request, and they confirmed that they had issued a request the first time. Somebody at Appliance Repair screwed up, and not only did they not apologize, they were actively hostile. I hope their technical expertise is better than their customer service. read more

I have used this repair service for years. When I scheduled a repair for my washer and dryer, I was charged $278.14 for a 30 minute call. I was shocked at the price of being charged for a service call on both appliances which the dryer requires a $9.99 part and I was told by repair man my washer just needed to be cleaned! I informed him that I use afresh every month and keep by water lid open to dry after every use. He just looked at me with no response, but I was charged $134.00 for that comment! Ridiculous. My husband is a builder/developer and I can assure them, we will never refer any business to them. read more
