They did an amazing job from day one. I had this company through AHS. They were prompt and efficient. They fixed my ice maker in no time.

Horrible and unreliable. Mr. Randolph and this company should be investigated for insurance/warranty fraud. They take claims from appliance warranty companies. Come out. Fix nothing. Then take credit for closing the case, leaving issues outstanding. Unethical and unacceptable. read more

the only business I think they get in Eatontown location is from American Home Shield. They were sent to repair washing machine door that did not close properly. It took them forever to come, first they said part delivered to them was defective(I doubt that ) and after one month the door is still not closing. AHS will not get them back since more than 30 daysThe company doesnt answer my calls. This fix should last the life of the washer. Nobody answers the phone or returns calls. They dont care.. Listen to their message, it is from July.. stay away.. and AHS stop using them! They will be out of business! read more

Like many of the other reviews, I was required to have this company service my washer by HSA. They are rude and unprofessional. They misdiagnosed issues with my washer and were not helpful with finding a solution. I ended up having to hire another company to help and take over. Please be cautious if you are working with HSA and this company. I ended up canceling my membership with HSA home warranty as well. read more

these people are extremely unreliable. AHS sent them to my home for appliance repair. it is one month and they still have not fixed it. i waited for them to come yesterday and they called and said he was not coming as he was stuck in traffic and could not come for another week but they do not know when. AHS is still trying to see what they can do go get my appliance fixed. read more

DO NOT ALLOW THIS "COMPANY" TO WORK ON ANY APPLIANCE YOU HAVE. Refuse them if sent by American Home Shield. I am now going into my third month without a refrigerator that was working fine but started to have a noise. This idiot came out without any tools, not even a thermometer, and stood near it and said he knew what was wrong. Came back with the wrong parts, an excuse for everything and a story for every mistake. 7 trips to the house and 4 different parts later the refrigerator is at 52 degrees. We call again, he's comes out, no thermometer or diagnostic equipment and opens the refrigerator door puts his hand in and says it's working properly!!!!! I basically threw him out and called AHS. They informed me that the "technician" closed the case that everything was working. I only gave one star because I had to in order to leave a review. THE WORST COMPANY EVER, HE IS TOTALLY INCOMPETENT!!!!! read more

Horrible follow up and business acumen. I much like several other commenters was referred to them by AHS. I was informed it would take a week to receive the parts needed for my dishwasher and washer machine and no subsequent follow up occurred. I'm reporting them to AHS and will be reassigned. This is unacceptable. read more

I wish I could give no stars. They made an appointment never showed or called. I have called 3 times since and nothing. AHS sent them and l should have looked at the reviews and never accepted this company. Shady to say the least. How can AHS continue to use a company with such a bad reputation and service history. Makes you wonder about the warranty company???? STAY AWAY FROM THEM AT ALL COST. AND IT IS A SERVICE CALL ON MY REFRIGERATOR...... read more

American Home Shield sent me to use this company. What a nightmare! The contractor was very nice BUT getting a hold of this company from the number listed online was impossible. The manager doesn't get in until Tuesdays at 10:30! Took over a week to come out after assigned, when he came to the property, the washer needed a part, which was ordered and arrived the following MONDAY. They did not get back in touch with me to schedule a appointment, i had to call them... but the number listed online does not work. I had to call AHS to call them... what a nightmare. So finally he was able to come after 3 weeks the finally were able to do the repair ... so i thought.... he replaced the part but then after he left i went to use the machine and it once again is not working properly. AVOID THEM. DO NOT LET AHS ASIGN YOU THIS CONTRACTOR! read more

I had a terrible experience with this company. From receptionist to the repairman. I could not reach them. They would not give a time frame when they are coming. When I call my Warranty service company American Home Shield, they could not even reach them. Finally after my repeated call on one Saturday the guy alleges they he showed up and no one would open door for him. When he called me to tell me that he showed up and refuse to believe me that no one called to make the appointment. He was terribly unprofessional on the phone. I would not even let him touch any appliances in my house let alone fix anything. In regards to American Home Shield, They were terrible too. They promised me several time that they would call me but never did. I requested to assign me a different company and they would not do that. Calls go to Philippines and cannot expect a better service and false promises. I will not renew my contract with them. read more

If I could give a lower rating I would, after months of not being able to repair my stove, I am at the point for it to be deemed unfixable so that I may receive a credit towards purchasing a new stove. The repairman Randolph, doesn't answer his phone, the business phone goes unanswered and emails are not being responded to. It has been over 4 mths with as many repairs and my stove still does not work, that every holiday since labor day without a stove, and appliance center doesn't care, they've maintained a flip and rude attitude, and now there isn't anything for them to do except to deem this appliance as unfixable, and I will be able to replace it, and they won't do that. Such a shame, such unprofessional manner that leaves no room for decency or compassion or shame, for making a person suffer so due to your own incompetence. I wonder if I'll ever hear from them again read more

The tech, J, came in and fixed our microwave without issue. He was very known and very professional. They have a customer for life for all of our appliances. Update: The microwave broke 8 days later. We called Choice Warranty to send them back out and followed up with calling Appliance Plus personally. Of course They said they were never received the referral and Choice said they sent it. Well low and behold we just followed up a month later and was told by Choice that Appliance Plus closed out the ticket saying they came to out house and nothing was wrong with the microwave! WOW!!!! That is a blatant lie!!! Shady company. I thought they were good but their follow up is horrendous and apparently they lie! We will never use them again!!! Do not use them. They do not stand by their work!!! read more

Avoid at all costs. Screwed up the repair then won't answer the phone. Took 6 days after the last screw up before we got a call back. Left 2 voicemails per day in between with no response. Warranty company can't reach them either. If they are assigned to your claim, tell them to send someone else. Just read the other reviews that are posted if you don't believe me. Not the first by any stretch. read more

One star is one too many. If they aren't out of business by now they should be. Mr. Randolph and this company are beyond rude and provided THE ABSOLUTE WORST customer service. It's a disgrace. read more

The worst company! Not sure how they are still in business. They were dispatched to fix my refrigerator through an American Home Shield insurance company. If I checked the reviews prior to them showing up, I would never have let them into my house. A so-called "Technician" came into my house just to let me know that I was not properly opening and closing the French doors on my refrigerator. Apparently, first you have to open the left door, then the right door, and after that you have to close it in the same sequence. What a stupid thing to say. And then they told me that they have to put some kind of silicone inside the refrigerator for the ice maker. Lucky for him, I wasn't home at the time of the appointment. I wish I had been present, so he could look into my eyes and tell me that I was not properly opening and closing the doors. I would've thrown him out of my house right there and then. American home shield company is another story. I can't believe that they would contract someone having one star. read more

I have left several messages to get an answer on a broken refrigerator needing a part. If the owner read social media maybe he/she would fire his staff and start over. I'm still waiting for a refrigerator part. We had to use them under our home warranty company never again. I'll pay more for quality service. Shame on you owner allowing your company to treat people this way. I'm still waiting for a call back. read more

ZERO stars really but I had to click at least one. Assigned to this company by AHS. Appointment for 12-3 4 days later, showed up at 5:30 on a Friday night. Here for 15 minutes to say we needed a part. AHS shipped the part out next day and Appliance Plus took 3 days to call us for an appointment. Tons of excuses as to why they don't communicate. Just avoid them. If AHS assigns them to your repair order, ask for someone else. read more

worst co. on the planet.i contacted them thru american home shield on 04/02/2022 and they showed up on 04/04/2023.i never saw them again.they told ahs they had the parts and when i called them again they did not have them.randolph and latoya have no idea what they are doing.i promise you if you hire them they will screw you!!!!!!and also they never answer the phone and do not call you back.i would give them 0 stars but i cant read more

Probably the worst customer service, EVER! And they don't even deserve 1 star. Does not make the appointment window (12-3), called was told 10-15 min, showed up an hour later, never apologized, and then how does a refrigerator repair person not have the proper tools to recharge a refrigerator? Now I am stuck to go buy a freezer because I had to change repair companies as J. Randolph was incompetent. And They still have not called me back by the way. Use anyone besides Appliance Plus. read more

American Home shield sent me to this company - they are about 1.5 hrs from my home. They scheduled 5 days out. Had appointment with 2 hr window. They never showed up- and never called! Pathetic! read more

VERY HORRIBLE COMPANY. Jus the thought of this company raises my blood pressure. They were sent to my home to repair my dishwasher and microwave. The technician showed up late and within a short time, he left that he needed parts to complete the job. It has been 3 weeks and the issue is not fixed. I have called them several times, but no one is responding. PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM. THEY ARE HORRIBLE. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND POTENTIAL HEART PROBLEMS. TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have no option to select 0, so I will give them 1. read more

The worst service you can get! Had no choice as this was the assigned vendor via American Home Shield Home Warranty. There is NO WAY this contractor can survive if AHS was not supporting him. Absolutely pathetic. I pity anyone who calls him directly and tries to work through him. BTW- this is not about workmanship, but about work ethic and respect for time of others - he does not have work ethics or respect for time of others. read more

If I could give a negative stars review, I would. I put in a service request for a non-functioning microwave on June 1. Now - more than a month and two service calls later, both ending with "we have to order parts" - my American Home Shield account says "appointment complete" and the contractor's phone number is disconnected! Both times he was here the only thing he accomplished was blowing 2 fuses per visit. And don't even get me started on his attitude when I asked him to put his mask over his nose! Or when he put a cardboard box down on a burner I had just told him was hot! Waiting now to have AHS send out a different contractor. Hope it's a competent one this time. read more

Worst of the worst. Frustrating experience and absolutely NO way to contact them. They came through American Home Shield. Not surprised since AHS has a way of picking the worst vendors!! read more

I would never recommend this company to anyone. They have not returned my 7 voicemails for the past week. Their technician did not order the correct part that we waited six weeks for. When he said he was going to order the correct part within 24 hours, he did not do so for another week. I've been without a refrigerator for over two months because of this terrible company. read more

This company is terrible. DO NOT USE THEM they came out to my house to fix a dishwasher 4 times so far over the span of 6 weeks and each time said they needed a pump, then it wasn't the pump they needed a hose. try to call them and their voicemail is full. American Home Shield is also a terrible company, they sent this company to my home and they are also a terrible company. I can never can get through on the phone and they continue to use this company knowing everyone complains. read more

This company is terrible. DO NOT USE THEM!!! I didn't think that a company could provide such awful service and stay in business. They didn't show up for the appointment to fix my washing machine the first time. Then, when they did come out, they told me that they needed to order a part that would take 5-7 business days. After 12 days and not hearing back from them, I started trying to reach the company. I called several times a day for a week. The phone would just ring and ring. Finally, someone answered the phone. I was told that the part had just come in. They kept trying to call me only 1 day ahead of when they wanted to come out. I repeatedly told them that I needed to give work more than 1 days notice that I needed to take time off. Finally, they scheduled me several days in advance for the next week. Then, 2 days before that appointment, they called to tell me they were coming out the very next day (so I had to tell my boss at 4pm that I wouldn't be in the next day. Then, when they came out (this morning) they had the wrong part!!! I've spent $100 at the laundromat waiting for them to fix my washing machine. I'm furious. The only reason this company can possibly still be in business is that American Home Shield uses them as a contractor. I called American Home Shield and lodged a complaint. read more

Randolph has been fixing my appliances for 25 years and to me he is the best there is. Always knows what to do and is ready to help find the right appliance for you if yours is ready to trash. I bought this house with all appliances in place and slowly but surely they've been dying on me and Randolph helped me keep them as long as possible. read more

This company is the absolute worst! They lie, lie, lie. The came out to assess my dishwasher and told me they needed to order a part. Ray ( the so called technician, also the owner) replaced two different parts after three trips to my house for my dishwasher repair. Its has been broken since December. He showed up turned it on seen water coming from under and said need a new motor. He didn't even take any panels he just order a part (motor). I'm pretty handy and there was nothing wrong with the motor machine sounded and cycled fine. The motor was working normally it was water pouring out from under the machine. He was also caught in a lie when he said the motor wasn't in in every time I called to see when he'd be back. After numerous calls he finally showed up a one and half months later with the motor. I checked the tracking number on the box it was delivered a month earlier, he said he just got it which was BS. He then claimed to need another part after he put it back together and it still had the same leak ( I wasn't surprised). He then showed up 6 weeks later and put that part in and guess what it still leaked. He never called back and never came back. His answering machine is full and I cant even reach him. I'm using American home shield who also cant get in touch with him to rectify my problem this has been going on for 6 months. I now have to pay for another service call to get another technician from another company in to fix it. Do not use this guy he and his company are terrible. He changes his company name to hide all the bad reviews he gets. Worst experience ever. Forgot to mention he also damaged my cabinet and told me to glue it back on myself, Really WTF. Good luck if you don't heed my warning. read more

I was assigned them from AHS after 2 weeks of waiting for part for my washer they set an appointment. The day they set they never showed and I called them. I was told they could not find the driver and they would have reschedule the appointment. Two days went by no calls and I called them was told they still couldn't find the driver and I had to wait. It's almost 4 weeks later and still not fixed. I'm trying to have them removed from vender list read more

This is absolutely the worst Appliance Service company I have ever come across. I needed my Dryer repaired and I use American Home Shield Warranty service.Unfortunately they stuck me with Appliance Plus. It starts with trying to get them on the phone to schedule service, it's next to impossible to reach a live person. After countless voice mails, missing their return calls and almost ten days later, American Home Warranty gets through and sets up an appointment for me. They give me a window for 12- 3. At 3:30 - no one shows up, no calls etc. I call to cancel the appointment. They tell me the person is on the way, so I say ok . 90 min later, still no show, no call. This time I cancel for good... would you believe they had the guts to tell me the person 'on the way ' !!! Run from this shoddy group, never use them. read more

Again chosen by home insurance company. You can be 200% confident in case this company gets chosen no matter how simple/large the problem is, guaranteed it will not get fixed. You will be only wasting your time for the first scheduled visit, then part ordering & then again the second scheduled visit. Net output it will not work :) I need to buy a brand new appliance because I lost patience & because of this entire process I had lost 10 days. read more

Very Slow getting information to my warranty company so that I can get my appliance repaired in a timely manner, I call all the time and the voice mail is full and no one ever answers. Absolutely the worse appliance repair company to deal with ever. This was selected by HSA. I will tell you that this is the worst company ever! Horrible customer service. They never return calls. You will leave many messages. When they do, they will tell you they have an opening for next day. When I tell them I can't, she says she does not schedule past the next day. She will say she will call me back and doesn't. I again have to call many times and leave messages. Tech came out twice. Second time he broke the emergency door latch to my washer. My washer is less then a year old! He never told me he broke it. The next company I called, they stated it was broken off as well as the door lock was broken. PLEASE DO NOT USE APPLIANCE PLUS!!!!!!!!! read more

I too am a victim of the Home Shield/ Appliance Plus combo. The techs they send out are good guys, but the front office is staffed by the worst kind of incompetence in the service industry. The idiot gal on the phone is all attitude and no ethics. You would think that providing a service that repairs appliances would understand the importance of these to a family and would have some empathy for the situation. No, not this gal.. she acts like she's doing you a favor by taking the time to explain how they screwed up the order and it's your fault. They miss appointments and then are shocked that you get upset when they reschedule you for days later. If I could have reached through the phone and choked the living crap out of her I would have (and she is full of it). Request another provider if Home Shield try to schedule them. My dishwasher is 3 weeks down between the ordering of wrong parts, not fixing the problem and rescheduling botches. Home Shield is of no help stating they are working within their process. Whatever.. 3 weeks down and still no fix in sight. read more

This is the worst company. I had to wait 2 weeks till they got the part I needed for my refrigerator. Then they offered me several appointment times. I set up the appointment for Tuesday 10/9 between 8am -10am. They called me that morning to confirm my appointment for Wed. I had made arrangements for Tuesday so I would be home from work. They would not send a repair man that day even though they had the part. They claimed the only person who could do the repair was off on Tuesday. DON'T USE APPLIANCE PLUS!!!!! This company is used by American Home Shield which is the worst warranty company I have ever had experience with. Stay away from them. It takes 5 minutes to get plece a call. One day I got a message that their phone system was down. I was without a refrigerater for 2 weeks. They couldn't send someone on the weekend when I was home from work. DON'T USE AMERICAN HOME SHIELD!!!!! read more

Terrible. It took them a week to come out to my house for a broken dryer. They came out and said it will take a week to get the part.
