Delivery team (two people) did not use a dolly to bring a new refrigerator in to my house an up to the second floor. In not using a proper dolly, they manhandled the fridge up the stairs doing significant damage to the hardwood stair steps and engineered flooring at the top of the stairs. They also tracked a bunch of mud into the house. Then they literally stood there with their hand out for a tip. I filed a claim with HD's delivery insurance company (Sedgwick). Absolutely awful. Sedgwick takes a week to answer emails. They claim they called me, but no Voicemail left and no record of calls on my AT&T call log. Seems Sedgwick is ghosting me, just hoping I'll go away. Called HD Celebration Station and they did not care.

Additionally, I felt uncomfortable during this appointment. I was alone in my home, and the way I was spoken to felt condescending and dismissive. I genuinely felt that I was treated this way because I am a woman and was alone at the time. That is completely unacceptable and should never happen in a professional setting. When the installers finally arrived today, they were professional and courteous, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, during the installation, our vent hood was scratched. This is especially upsetting given how long we waited and how much this project has already cost us in time and stress. Now we are left dealing with additional repairs and coordination that should never have been our responsibility. Throughout this process, I reached out to the manager, Olivia, several times. I even contacted designers who said they would email her directly on my behalf. Not once did I hear from her. The only reason I can envision this parking choice is for the convenience of their employees, not their customers. Down the aisles I drove until I finally found handicapped parking. They were on an aisle near the exit. I walked to the exit door and found it wouldn't open. There was a checkout clerk nearby who wasn't busy. So I knocked on the door.....several times. He finally came & let me in. I told him there needed to be handicapped spaces near the entrance door. No reply. Why couldn't they at least let the exit doors open from the outside? The sign for Customer Service was far, actually near the entrance door. After waiting in line, I was really struggling. And it was obvious. When my turn came the young woman clerk looked at my box as if it were an aberration. She turned to what was obviously her supervisor so I said "I have the scan for the return on my phone." I had it opened & ready for her to ask for the entire time I was in the line. While she was processing the return I told her that there should be handicapped parking near the entrance door. No response. Was I invisible? After I had my return receipt I had to walk back to the exit to get to my vehicle. The whole experience was a nightmare. I hope I never have to return an item to that store again. The value of my having to pay return shipping would be worth not having to experience pain & poor customer service.

Sub-Zero told us East Coast Appliance Builder Direct is NOT an authorized service provider for Sub-Zero, and the closest one to Virginia Beach was 100 miles away! The problem had nothing to do with the mechanical workings of the refrigerator, it was just the handle. Sub-Zero was great, they sent us a video on how to remove the panel and fix the problem. Hopefully, in the future we will never need to have service done on our refrigerator, because their is no one locally to service it. Sub-Zero makes a great product but before you purchase one, please understand that no local company is authorized to service it.
