The facility is nice and clean but that is the only positive I can offer about Appletree Court assisted living.
My mother was there only six days and we had to move her out due to the poor care she received. She is restricted to the bed and needs a wheel chair to move around. The second night she was there, she fell out of the bed twice and we had to take her to a hospital. When she was able to return, the care she was given got worse. Anytime she needed assistance for something, we would have to wait forty to sixty minutes for a nurse to come help her. On two occasions when we used the call button for assistance for her to use the restroom, when the caretaker finally showed up, my mother was told to just "go ahead and pee on yourself and we will clean you up later". This was not the level of care that we were told she would get. When I inquired about the slow response to a call, I was told that there was only one nurse for the second floor and that is why it takes so long. My mother could not go down to the food court so her food would be delivered to her room after everyone else had eaten. The food menu was very good however, no matter what you ordered, you would get whatever they had left over and it would be placed just inside the door rather than to her food tray. If I had not been there, my mother would not been assisted to eat. After six days, we had to move my mother out of there. So far they have billed us for close to ten thousand dollars for the six days she spent there.
I think she could have gotten better care at a dog kennel and I would not recommend this place for any level of care. The only recommendation I can give for this place is to stay away and look elsewhere for care. read more
