The two sets of stretches he instructed me to do -- anywhere with no equipment and easily completed in less than 5 minutes -- kept me pain-free the entire trip (other than a couple sore toes from walking downhill)! I have been in PT for years now, but have continued to experience ongoing discomfort. Google is usually a no-no for me when it comes to researching health issues, but in this instance I'm happy that I did it since it led me to considering acupuncture. I visited Laura's practice for the first time a month or so ago and already notice the difference. During my first visit, Laura asked me a ton of questions. I feel like most doctors focus on the one thing that brings you in, but Laura really took a holistic approach in trying to understand my general health. It's been refreshing to work with someone who seems to genuinely care about my well-being and who is invested in helping me -- even with random things that I otherwise would have not thought to mention at an acupuncture appointment. Outside of my hip and pectoral pain, I also experience chronic lethargy, joint stiffness and nasal congestion. I never considered my diet as a potential factor, but with Laura's guidance have cut out dairy. Turns out dairy is an inflammatory, which can lead to some of those smaller ailments I've been dealing with. I'm really happy that I gave acupuncture a shot. The third visit however created "marionette" lines from the edge of my left lip down to my chin. The clinical director told me to come back and she would "correct" it. The fourth visit left me with sagging eyelids, sagging jowls and "marionette" lines from both sides of my lips. After expressing to the clinician how uncomfortable with the unattractive results, she said "I'm sorry" and told me I should stop facial accupuncture to go see my dermatologist .

They said she was the best and I agree!!! I suffered a back injury way back in May of 2021. It was a very sharp pain in the center of my back very low almost where my butt crack was. I simply tried to self medicate, stretch and play tennis through the pain. It wasn't until November of 2021 when I finally said to myself enough is enough. I was laying on the tennis court after drills in pain as I often did after a match or drill! I called Dr Jen to help try and fix the issue. I found out through an MRI that I had an S1 disc herniation and along with that was constant painful sciatica in the glutes down to the hamstrings radiating to my ankle. Doc already knew what the issue was based on my symptoms and was treating me with several techniques to relieve my pain. Graston, ART, Laser and the decompression table. She worked with me and her team to find the best results. She asked for input on how certain settings on the decompression table felt until we found THE one that helped me the most. I like the fact that she was listening to my issues, making adjustments and very patient with me because at times I may have come off frustrated not at her but myself for waiting so long to do rehab. (6 months) I thought fixing my back injury would take a few sessions, but not the case for me. I stuck with Dr Jen and her team, visited her twice a week religiously and I can say my back has been feeling 100% strong since January. The sciatica has finally gone from the constant pain to the most minute issue. I wouldn't even call it an issue. I'll be continuing with Dr Jen for maintenance and work on any other ailments on my body that may arise. One thing I will say is AS SOON as you feel some pain in any part of your body call Dr Jen and Sports Rehabilitation and Chiropractic!
