I'm so glad that I was able to schedule a 15-minute resume review with Your Next Jump and plan to…read moreshare with others. I was a little weary at first of how 15 minutes could help--don't I need more time?!--but it was perfect. Tim was so kind, but also very direct and wasted no time getting down to business. He obviously spent time getting to know my position and who I was ahead of time and had actionable items and feedback. I have utilized other resume workshops before, but honestly never felt like my time was utilized well or gave me specific feedback to improve. Definitely an opposite experience with Tim. I now know a few tweaks to add in to improve my resume despite having a job that didn't fit in to the examples he provided, but nonetheless very helpful. I would suggest their services to anyone wanting to get an edge up on other applicants.

I attended the career building webinar on Zoom hosted for  Yelp Elite members. It's one thing to…read morewriteup a resume yourself and think its absolutely amazing, but to have his set of eyes and truly maximize my potential and bring it to life was a whole other thing. Tim was amazingly brilliant, dynamic in our call. He connected in a very real and warm way. He quickly got down to what the issues are that are holding back; asked pointed, honest and direct questions to help you uncover the reason. He helped me get very clear about next-steps in my current resume and then take steps in transforming my resume to a good one. Investing in taking time to talk to Tim was worth it. I highly HIGHLY recommend you go do it for YOURself!

Pretty interesting donation drop off location! A little confusing and hard to find. The entrance…read morethat is closest to DFS is the 635 entrance to Valley View. It's located on the second floor. The closest "landmark" is the AMC. The representative that answered the phone was courteous and offered volunteers to assist pick up from the car. Valley View, the once popping, glitzy retail center that comprised at least 75% of my early childhood shopping memories, now sits as a barren, dimly lit carcass :( The store front itself sits in the old Forever21. DFS did an excellent job reviving the old store. When I arrived I was greeted warmly. Nice seating area near the entrance. It has a welcoming, bright atmosphere and is bulging with clothes...which raised my eyebrow just a little. I intended for 100% of my donation to be given to someone directly instead of resold, which is why I drove out 20 miles and didn't give to Goodwill or Salvation Army. The website, which I thoroughly read did not mention the resale aspect. However, I was assured by the employee that the portion of the donation that is "deemed suitable" is given to clients that they work with to suit for interviews, which made me happy. The part that they "deem not professional" is then resold, which was probably the stuff in the store. I guess the only part I was still iffy about is that the store was FULL of clothes. I already made the drive out and took like 25 minutes to find the place so I'll just have to have faith that it'll go to people who need it the most. Oh well. I still appreciated the concept of women helping women!

I have an abundance of new and like new professional and business casual attire to donate. Many…read morethings with tags still. But because I work and they have such a limited window of time to accept donations is one day per week in the middle of the work day, I can't get there!! So frustrating! After trying to find a Friday that would work for many, many months I gave everything to another non-profit that supports women. DFS was always the gold standard, but I think they are missing out on so many who would like to help. Make it easier for us to support you and your clients!!

Before I contacted him, I took days gathering material I could use to "make him say wow three times." When I had gathered what I thought was my "best stuff" I eagerly made the call. It went straight to voicemail. Although a bit disappointed, I get it. People are busy. The recording informed me he could not take my call because he was giving all his attention to another client, which he would surely do for me when my turn came. Then, in his message he assured me he typically returned calls within 90 minutes to 2 hours. That was over two weeks ago. I've since called again, and still crickets from Mr. Murdock. Feeling disappointed with the lack of follow through and professionalism.

A friend that experienced a similar success with Mr. Murdock recommended him and he was a godsend. After a 3 hour interview, Mr. Murdock took my years of personal investment, home restorations and non-profit volunteer work during my years of being a stay at home Mom and turned them into a resume that showcased my strengths and promise as a potential, prized employee. He then assisted me in my job search with advice on which web search engines to use and advice on managing interview session questions regarding my 7 years of unemployment. Within 2 weeks, I had a dozen potential employers wanting interviews. Once I had narrowed my decision to 2 potential employers, Mr. Murdock assisted me in looking at the pros and cons of each "very different" opportunity. After 5+ interviews with each company, I accepted a position with an international company in an industry that without Mr. Murdock's assistance, I would have never even considered. Mr. Murdock even assisted me in my compensation negotiation. Since that time, I have recommended Mr. Murdock to at least 10 friends that have experienced as much success with him as I did! He is brilliant! If you are looking to transition to a new industry, are bored with an unappreciative corporation that refuses to promote you, are just out of college or like me are transitioning from being a stay at home parent, call Mr. Murdock and find your dream job!
