son in-law had van towed into shop told the spark plug was stripped so there was no diagnosis…read moreneeded they told him 3k to fix I told him to bring it to my house so I could look at it they charge him 169 dollars for looking at it . when it got here I went out and installed a plug insert which is a 20 dollar kit took me 20 minutes total and he drove it home I contacted the shop they said they were uncomfortable putting a plug insert in so not sure how they where going to fix head once pulled I assume install an insert pretty backs accepted method of repair . I understand your not comfortable doing insert although I think you saw commercial vehicle and though chance to make big money but to charge 169 dollars which is more that what an insert repair should of been is ridiculous and makes them look very bad
