I bought at this location. It had 1400 miles on it. Was told it was a rental for the ATP tennis tournament. Didn't have a manual or second key. Was told they would get me both. Still waiting on those. Years later, the radiator was leaking. Found out it was not the original, it had been wrecked. I often wondered if the miles had been rolled back. I wouldn't trust them to clean my toilet. read more

He replaced, fast forward Aug 10th 2024 I'm driving the hwy, speed limit 70 mph, I am going 70 mph when I here a loud clump, I was scared, I looked in the mirror to see if I ran something over, it was more of a thump, nothing on the hwy, no cars swerving, sounded like something hit my back tire. My car continued to drive normal until I had to take an exit, went to brake..no brakes, I pumped & pumped really scared, wouldn't stop, had to put it to the floor with my toes to get it to slow down. Drove an hour home at 35 mph. Took to repair shop i was informed whomever worked on my breaks purchased the wrong year, put them on the wrong side and that the piston or bolt from the caliper broke off from the pressure flew out, hit my rotor and slammed into pads which caused the caliper and breaks to fail..brakes flew off the car. I spoke to blacks he told me I should have brought it back to him. Why would I take it to the person that didn't repair it correctly and could have cost me my life, he said if you took it somewhere else and pay them that's on you I'm not paying for anything. I asked him to at least give me the labor back which was $350 and he refused.

Local Business Review -- D & S Auto Service - hamersville, Ohio…read moreToday I found myself with a hole in the sidewall of my tire I needed to get a used tire until I could get the new ones, I live 3 minutes from D&S so I call ask for a used 225/60/17... he says he has one a little smaller 225/50/17... Go up he puts it on, I get 5 miles down the road and the tire comes completely off the rim, I call D & S they say someones on the way. My husband shows up at D & S they tell him someone is on the way, my husband arrives on the scene and still NO D &S we call numerous times no answer. They finally answer proceeding to tell me my rim was junk and would not take a bead to get the tire, yet 30minutes ago when I left the shop and paid was told I was good to go. YES I knew the tire was smaller BUT it would work for now, I was NOT ONE time told by anyone there my wheel was junk as they said, and I would expect any decent auto service to be honest tell your customer, your wheel is junk I can't put a tire on it, not send me and my KIDS on the way. Anyway they finally arrive put a tire on, follow them back, they continue to blame me, put my tire WITH A HOLE in the sidewall back on my vehicle, refund my money, cussing me and says they are DONE! Bottom line is I found out just what kind of people OWN D&S auto and many other businesses in Hamersville ( yes they were the owners) and it's important to share this , I awlays try to shop local. DO NOT do business with these people. Money isn't everything, true colors were displayed today. Thanks for the "help" as you called it. Running a business requires good ethic and honesty and you severely lack that, if I ever treated customers as they did, it would certainly reflect in my sales. Please share, your families safety could depend on it!

The trouble arose a week later when we discovered the transmission needs to be replaced. Outbacks have a CVT transmission and this one is going bad. Additionally the car needs struts, a belt, bearings, and a battery. All in all the Subaru we purchased from Georgetown Auto Sales needs over $10,000 in work done on it before the first car payment was even made. We spoke with Todd, TJ, and the owner of the lot. Todd felt pretty bad about it but the owner didn't care. Essentially it was completely our problem. I know that legally this is true but how you sleep at night knowing you are ripping people off in the midst of a pandemic is beyond me. He also informed up that Georgetown Auto Sales does not have the used cars they sell inspected by their mechanic. I am a small business owner who is new to Kentucky. This was my first real interaction with another small business in Kentucky. I sincerely hope that this lack of integrity is not endemic to Kentucky. Buyer beware, Georgetown Auto Sales does not stand by their products or their customers.
