On February 10th at 1130 am stop by Applebee's to get deserts while here decided to order shrimp. Just to find out because of the all-you-can-eat special they were out of shrimp. Several people came in after us and requested the shrimp . Very disappointed with the dessert was good. Shane our waiter was nice, funny and very helpful. read more

Visited this location with my family and they somehow managed to serve 3/8 members their food 20 minutes after the rest of the family. When our food arrived, only 2 meals came out and they were both incorrect, as in not even the item that they ordered. They then said it would be an additional 15 minutes to correct it. When the final meal arrived, the rest of the family had finished their meals. I looked at my meal and it was also incorrect. Terrible food and terrible service. The servers are nice but the food took forever, Crazy as the restaurant is empty, because of covid there were only like 6 tables at a time. The food we were served was garbage. My 7 year old niece cooks better. Food just looked old and dried out. Tasted even worse. The shrimp Alfredo had no flavor and the shrimp itself was cold. The steak was such a bad piece of steak that it could barely be cut. Very nervy, had a hard time cutting and chewing. The ribs were the only thing that was good on the table. Anyone that lives north of Madison in Wisconsin year round is a fat, slack jawed, drunken, brain damaged mongoloid. I forget how deliverance like it is up here. The restaurant seems to be staffed by carnival workers in training. There was a server who's head weighed more than her legs that spent 5 minutes at the bar crushing up the ice in her big gulp with the lid on making the straw with the lid on sound the whole time. One of the servers sat in a booth the whole time watching roller coaster vids on his phone at max volume showing anyone within view how fast it was. This person's voice also sounded like he was sucking helium. I thought that was annoying until he changed to playing hair metal vids. Most of the staff had hard ice teas stashed to drink. The cooler was under a booth. They were sucking on those tall boys like mothers milk. Started thinking that kitchen had to be a bigger sh!t show. After spending 5 minutes observing this circus I set 5 bucks under my iced tea and drove to Culver's to eat. Thankfully they had standards. Do not go here. read more

This is one of those places to never go to in the Dells. It wasnt very busy and when we entered we were seated right away. Great but nothing after that. We waited and waited and not one person came to greet us or get waters or nothing. It was not even busy in there. No one even said hi ill be your server and ill be right with you. I'm going to have to recommend this place to all vegans. I originally came in with my wife and made an order later in the evening and received a meal with almost all animal products. Nonetheless after an understanding conversation with the manager Erin / (Aaron) not only did he redo our entire order custom order himself. He introduced me to his staff and created a custom Vegan menu to fit our families needs. This place has a bad rap the staff is unprofessional and lazy to say the least although the manager Erin seems to be the highlight of service and wherewithal in the dining industry at the place. Big shouts outs to Erin for hearing me out and coming through with something solid. So if you have the patience for them to make a mistake , vocalize it prompt and professionally well then you might just get a good meal. read more

Watch out as they don't Double/Triple check the order for accuracy. Order I placed the wings we're Supposed to be Buffalo. But I received BBQ. Then I also ordered a extra side of frys, but I only had one container of frys. Burger should've included frys but there wasn't any in there. When I called the store, I spoke with the manager. She said all she can do is remake the wings. But I'd have to come get it. I couldn't do that because I can't get my semi there. That's why I order Uber eats. Because they can bring me food when I'm unable to get to the restaurant(s). I was able to get a refund on those two items, from Uber Eats. But due to this I will never be ordering from Applebee's again. If she wasn't so rude, maybe I wouldn't have come to this conclusion. But me and 30-40 others are in the dells 5 days a week, every week. In conclusion you lost at least one future customer, and no doubt many more will follow. I don't dislike it because it's a chain, I dislike the quality of the Sysco esque food. Our server was great. Very personable and outgoing. A little forgetful, but that's okay. We were seated at a high top. The place was so loud. Not because of the people, but all the tacky big screen TV's blaring whatever game that happened to be playing. Some of the others in our party remarked that the pasta was super bland and overly dry while others liked theirs. I ordered the French onion soup which was decent. The person at the front door was fine with her having it but when we got to the table our waiter straight up said "Hey guys you cannot have that" in the most rude tone. Here's a PRIME example of a restaurant in a resort community that takes its service level down a notch or two in the "off season". The problem is I don't think Applebee's really has an "off season"! The staff seemed lackadaisical... didn't have any kind of urgency to greet guests, take orders or answer questions. When I did get some modest attention the server remembered the beer I ordered but totally whiffed on the water I requested. I placed my order for chicken fajitas only to have the bartender/server come back about ten minutes later to inform me they were out of the vegetable mix that goes with the fajitas. I ordered something else and it was fairly ho-humm. On another note -- it seemed to me that the obvious foul mouthed (loud F bombs and such) "locals" that were hanging at the end of the bar got pretty good service and quick attention... again, while other guests waited for service including one gentleman that waited a solid three to four minutes before a manager type recognized he was there even though the bartender had passed by him a couple times. My opinion -- there's lots of places in the Dells to go grab a decent dinner, get great service and this one doesn't need to be on anyone's list. read more
