The restaurant is hidden and there aren't any major shopping centers near by. It is next to Hidalgo City's post office but you have to drive deep into a gated area to find it.
Once inside, the owner greeted us. She seemed to be the only one running the business, and we were the only ones eating at the place, so that provided a much more personal experience.
I ordered a milanesa, which is a lightly breaded steak. It tastes just like a home cooked meal, which is what I was expecting from this place. The meal was good, the price was great, and the natural lemonade was the coupe de grace. It doesn't get more authentic Mexican than this.
