I know Mexican food is different in all areas but to me there's nothing like South Texas Mexican breakfast!! This is a must try if you are in the area!!

The Mexican plate had 2 cheese enchiladas a side of rice and beans and some guacamole everything on the plate was good except the rice felt as if it had been fried due to its crunchy texture and the panchos Mazatlán seemed to have been left. Little too long on one end where it did seem to overcook the melted cheese a little too much the rest was just right all in all still good tasstung food and service

The breakfast buffet is only 4.99 (even on the weekend). I wasn't expecting much, given such a low price. They had a variety of breakfast items including, potato and chorizo, potato and egg, bacon and egg, (delcious) chorizo beans, oatmeal, chicharron, AND amazing pozole AND menudo. You could also request plates fresh from the kitchen (including pancakes) at no extra charge. The food was good. My only complaint is that some of the food was only warm (not hot)...with the exception of the menudo and pozole (they were HOT). This is to be expected at any buffet, from my experience. However, for the price, this place is a hidden gem. We'll definitely be back

It was a Wednesday and there were only a couple of other tables occupied. The waitress greeted us and got our drink order. We saw the first plus, it was cheap!! I ordered two chorizo and egg tacos. This was a $2.50 breakfast! So did my father in law. I got flour tortillas and he got corn. My husband got the huevos rancheros. My mother in law got a western omelet. The portions were huge. The tortillas were made fresh. Everything was hot and delicious. The service was great. A little slow for such an empty restaurant but the freshness made it worth the wait. A good and filling meal to set us on the road our next adventure.

I've tasted several plates...the menudo (my fave!), barbacoa, enchiladas, carne guisada....all have been tasty and you always get the "just like my mother made it" taste. The corn and flour tortillas appear to be freshly made which is how they should always be made at any respectable Mexican restaurant. I won't give it the full 5 stars because the food is good...but there's a few places out there with say, better chilaquiles or menudo. This place is a very authentic taste of what Mexican cuisine should be like. We came in for a quick lunch during our break and had two of their lunch specials. They had the Pachucos and the Caldo Tlalpeño on sale for lunch. I believe the pachucos were $5.99 and the Caldo Tlalpeño was $6.49. Both had good taste. The portion of the Caldo was good but the pachucos were a bit of a small portion size. Good thing my wife chose those and not me.....quite frankly I wouldn't have had enough with 3 pachucos, rice and salad. Other than that the place is clean, tasty and fair in price. Come give it a try, you'll be well satisfied.
