As Applebees go, this is a good location. Service and food was good. But I have to tell a story. Eating on the road, it's hard to find vegetables, especially green ones. We had looked for someplace with country veggies and, failing, wound up at Applebees. I found a blackened chicken and shrimp dish that came with mashed potatoes. I asked the waiter if it came with anything green. Of course I meant a green vegetable. He looked VERY confused for a moment then said "oh! Yes! We sprinkle some parsley on it." Waitress was wonderful and polite. Food came out quick but it left alot to be desired. The fries were burnt and hard, chicken tenders as my son said "looked like the soul got sucked out of them." I enjoy a good juicy burger but ours this evening were soaked in so much grease that you couldn't enjoy it. We got the appetizer sampler and it was great except for the random 2 pieces of lettuce in the ranch. This was one of my go to restaurants during the years I lived in Marietta (2006-2014). I no longer live in the area, but I still visit regularly to see family and occasionally stop here to dine. It's AppleBees. They have a festive atmosphere with upbeat, fun music in the background, booth and table seating in a horseshoe around the bar and comfortable lighting. The menu always has "specials" and more often than not, the wait staff are generally informed and will be able to make recommendations. Even without the specials, their prices are typically lower than their competitors. I have always thoroughly enjoyed AppleBees and this one has generally had great service. They have large, delicious burgers and fries and often run drink specials where you can order a cocktail of the month for $1.00!! During certain hours you can get 1/2 price appetizers. I highly recommend their pretzels! Wow! This place is accommodating for families, date night or a meetup with girlfriends. read more

I flew into CMH yesterday from SFO (via MSP) and had a 2+ hour drive ahead of me before I rolled into Marietta for the night. Unfortunately, on a Sunday evening, dinner options in Marietta were pretty much limited to the places off I-77. And since I wasn't in the mood for fast food, Applebee's was my choice. My experience here was just OK. The first thing I did when I came in was to hold the door open for members of a large family who apparently had a just finished a nice time out together. After this mitzvah, I waited around for several minutes until another customer ran down a waitress (and her friend) to seat me. She was friendly enough, my order was taken, and soon a glass of the house "dark" beer (Killian's) was before me. The kitchen was slow and things seemed to be winding down throughout the restaurant. I nurse my beers when waiting, and with prompt service I only need one for my meal. It was a 2 beer night. The food itself (cheeseburger) was better than average and that (and a chance to sit down and relax) certainly took the edge off a very long day. read more

It could be that I remember the menu they had in the past and the great service but things haven't stayed up to the great value/standards they have been in the past. I've tried some of the new menu items they have put on the menu but only one of the pasta dishes was good. Even going back to the old steaks was a bad idea. Not many options are left. read more

There menu changes everytime we come here, so if we came for a specific menu item that we like then we are SOL! Then they sit you with no menu and want you to use the irq scan on your phone. We were in town for daughters college orientation and stayed at a nearby hotel. Our bartender, Mount, was awesome! Kept the drinks pouring and the conversation going. Seemed like a lot of the locals frequent the location so we were able to get a lot of feedback from them about the area. We will definitely be back! read more

This is Applebee's. Food is the same selection as all the others, etc. etc. That being said, this one is quite friendly, focused on providing a good experience, and they handle that with aplomb. Food is delivered hot and fresh, the staff is great, and they location is convenient. This is a good stop off freeway but not destination. Service was good and food was good. The portions were skimpy for prices. If you want bread with meal order a burger! A lonely bread stick is $1. They however don't charge for the bun on the burger I ordered! So choose your meal carefully folks. The bourbon black and blue burger was really good. Great seasoning, and chipolte mayo was great sauce to complement it. The dozen and half fries, well really looks. ..... cheap. The pick two order with 4oz sirlion, needed a search party to find steak under the vadalia onion slice. Really people. .. couldn't see the steak because an onion slice! It might have been 3 oz slider by mistake. The French onion soup doesn't come with cheese browned on top. Just kind of melted. And the minced onion inside soup was different. But it helped fill up that person with the steak. The service rounded this up to three stars. It should be two and half for portions not matching prices alone. Would give a 0 but that's not possible. First we had to wait 15 min for a party of 3 to be sat at a table and looked at 3 open tables and when we asked about them the waitresses looked at us scoffed then said that the whole row of tables were only for the workers to sit at. Then 15 min later sat us at the same tables we were told we couldn't sit at. Then I was handed a kids menu with a maximum age of 12 when I am 16. Took them 10 min just to get our drinks. It was outrageous. Do not recommend!!!! And our noodles were over cooked and the double fried shrimp were chewy and not crunchy. read more
