We came here for dinner on a Friday evening. We were seated immediatly and greeted by our waitress. She got our drinks while we browsed the menu. I was in the mood for a burger and the whiskey bacon burger looked good. This is an all-beef patty topped with two slices of Pepper Jack cheese, crispy onions, two strips of Applewood-smoked bacon and Fireball Whisky-infused steak sauce. Served on a brioche bun with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles. The meal was out quickly and I began to attack this monster. I leaned over my plate as the juicy goodness of the perfectly cooked burger dripped out from between the bun. The melted pepper jack cheese added a gooey kick while the wisky infused barbeque sauce added a sweet savory flavor. The French fried onions tickled the palate with a crispy crunch. The burger was served with a generius helping of French fries. The only problem I had was everything kept falling out of the bun. I finished it all, but was completely stuffed. So IHop and Applebee's isn't even listed as a combined restaurant even though they merged in August of this year. Today, we thought we would use the gift cards we have had for some time. Upon entering the location on Oneida Street, the entryway reaked of sewage. Once pasted that you are greeted by four employees who haven't smiled a day in their lives. One slowly walked over to us and asked if a high top was fine. We asked for a booth. The upper right level had all of the booths empty and dirty. In the meantime, the other employees proceed to just talk amongst themselves, not clearing those tables. After leading us up to the stairs to see the mess, we then were led to the other side of the restaurant. We were sat at a dirty booth, booth sticky, and the table visible not cleaned, and told your server would be here shortly. We opened the sticky menus and watched as this server went back to talk to her friends/co-workers. After a few minutes of discussion on if this was how the front of house was run, how would the back of the house be? We grabbed our things and had someone been by the door we could have explained why we were leaving, but we just left. Avoid this dirty place ! However, a group I was with decided to go to Applebee's to celebrate a birthday and I must say I was greatly surprised and completely enjoyed the experience. The restaurant appeared clean and well maintained. The service was attentive, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the food was very good. I had the Penne with the salad special and was pleasantly surprised. What a large portion for the price. The salad, which I was expecting to be a small side salad, was served on a dinner plate and was full size. The greens were fresh and tasty. Then the Penne arrived and it was also a large portion which was very good. If you want a drink to go with dinner, they served Zombies for $2.00. That's right, $2.00. My friend and I used to enjoy going to applebees for a 2 for $ deal. Last year we had a horrendous experience and we decided to give it another go tonight for shitz and gigz​​. My meal came out with a solid as a rock/cold breadstick and tiny little chicken tenders that were so dry they reminded me of the turkey being cut in National Lampoons Christmas. They puffed air when i tried to break them open. We were told that the manager was going to come over and that new tenders were being made. 2 minutes later, our lovely waitress (she really was super wonderful) told us the manager named "Cass" wasnt going to come over because she was too busy to deal with us. It was moderately busy, and our server was friendly and attentive. I ordered the oriental chicken salad wrap. It came with french fries and an oriental dipping sauce. This was the WORST service I've ever had. Everyone's dishes came out at different times, and multiple came out before drinks were given to us. We had to ask for silverware and straws. One of the people in our group never even got her food. It took an hour to finish what was supposed to be a 30 minute meal (And it was not busy at all). I've bought food from this location a few times over the last year. It's never been great, but it's always been decent. However, yesterday we ordered their riblets and the spinach and artichoke dip. Unfortunately, my wife and I both got food poisoning. We were sick for about 24 hours with gastrointestinal issues. I don't think we can eat at this or any other Applebee's after this. read more

It was literally A-OK as my rating states. We wanted a quick bite to eat and we did not get that. The first thing that was strange is that we were placed on an end table in the middle of all the foot traffic. The place was not crazy busy we could have been sat at a better location. My husband felt like he was sitting in the walk way. Our waiter was slow about doing everything. Taking our orders, bringing the drinks, checking in and getting the bill. He reminded me of the sloth sadly. Food was mediocre at best. My chicken had a nice gravy with mushrooms and onions that I enjoyed. Not sure why there were giant chunks of jalapenos on top of the mashed potatoes. I assumed they would be chopped to be easier to eat. My husbands chicken fajita wrap was like something you make yourself in college it was a drippy mess. He told me the flavor was good but the presentation and execution could have been much better. The homemade chips had no seasoning not even salt. They were fried nicely though. Paying the bill was a pain as well. The little computer on our table would not take our payment so we had to pay the waiter. Would not be a big deal but I have a sneaky suspicion that we will be double billed now. Horrible, no other way to say it. I had the 4 cheese penne with chicken tenders and my husband had the riblette "platter". First my food, the tenders had sever flavor but like the rest of my meal, they were cold. The four cheese penne had some sort of runny, white, flavorless sadness water poured over it. It was awful. The bread stick was the only only edible part of the meal. The reason I put the sarcastic quotes around the word platter, the amount of food looked like it came from the kid's menu, seriously. Again food was cold and according to the hubby was "just okay". I don't know if it's just this location or Applebee's in general, but the food was terrible, would never go there again. read more

FYI: Half off appetizers start at 10:00PM at this location. I was impressed because within literally seconds of dropping my silverware on the floor, a waitress was at my table with a clean set of silverware. I received a gift card for Applebee's so I checked it out. I haven't been to one in a long time so it was a fun experience. One thing they do well is making sure the food arrives to your table HOT. I got the bourbon chicken and it was a little (a lot) too salty for me. I wanted something healthy and they managed to make it unhealthy with extra butter and way too much salt. If your looking for an unhealthy meal, it's good. Get the ribs (not riblets), they looked great. read more

Been going here since 1998. The waiter was nice, but the service was slow. Ordered boneless wings that were supposed to be on special for .25, but were not. Also ordered Bleu cheese but got ranch instead. I had the steak that I ordered medium but it came out so well done they cooked the flavor right out of it, and it sure didn't look like an 8 oz steak. There are so many good things about Applebee's that I could mention.... I came here last night with my boys as we were hungry and not much else was opened. We would have been better off starving. After we walk in it took an eternity for someone to seat us. I would've understood if it was extremely busy or if there were no tables but that was not the case. After the lady finally came we requested a booth. She informed us that was not possible as we were there for the half apps. First of all, we never told her we were there for half apps and I'm pretty sure that's what everyone else in the building was there for. Whatever we accept it. We sit down and age slowly as we wait for the waitress. When she finally comes we order and a couple years later the food comes. They take the trophy for having the absolute coldest most pathetic wings of all time. ALL TIME. That is not even the worst of it. After I'm pretty deep into my drink I notice there is a hair in it. Pretty gross right. But wait there's more!! A couple minutes later ( I still haven't gotten a new drink because the waitress is nowhere to be found) my buddy takes a bite out of his wing. What happened next almost made us hurl. He proceeds to string the longest, nastiest hair out of his mouth. This is unacceptable. Did someone shave their dog over our food or something? Come on. We track down a waitress not ours because she's nowhere to be found, and ask for the manager. The seemingly non-existent manager finally arrives apologizes profusely and gives my buddy a coupon for a free appetizer. You think we want a free appetizer?? Get that thing outta my face Stevens!! He did an excellent job from taking the orders, serving the food, and attention to the needs of all. Was impressed with the way he took the orders. Let me preface this review by stating that we frequent Applebee's. It's a family favorite for the quick manner you can get a family in and out while still receiving a decent meal. Our recent experience was terrible. We didn't get the appetizer we ordered for almost 20 minutes after we ordered it. Then they brought mine and my husband's entrees almost 10 minutes after our children's meals arrived. We watched as three other families came and went before we actually got to eat. I'm not sure if they forgot about us or what happened but it was by far the worst time we've had out to dinner anywhere in a long time. We likely won't be back to this Applebee's for a while, especially with young kids. The only reason I upgraded from the one star our recent experience truly deserves, is because the food still tasted good even though it took such a long time to receive it. read more

Went there for takeout. We ordered the $20 for 2 set, upgraded an entree for steak with $5.5 up-charge. Portion is much smaller than we expected for $25.5 dollars, me and my husband didn't feel full after eating but the food was quite good. I like the boneless wings a lot. Last month my family and I visited Applebees in Green Bay (East Mason St.). It was my daughters idea, she chose it for her 7th birthday. The reason she chose Applebees is because they sing to you for your birthday. We chose this particular location because we had tickets to a concert at the Weidner Center after our dinner. Needless to say Olivia (birthday girl) was very excited for this evening. Our server's name was Liz and she was awesome! She was very friendly. Sorry, let me get to the point. When it was time to sing, the rest of the Applebees team told Liz they were too busy. Are you kidding me!!!??? My daughter couldn't understand why they didn't want to sing to her, she was crushed. Liz was very apologetic and rather embarassed. I just wanted someone to be aware of this. Because for the rest of the evening, my 7 year old made comments like: "i can't believe Applebees didn't sing"... Needless to say, we were very disappointed with our visit! and most likely will not being going back to that location. read more

Went to Applebees on a recent Friday evening and enjoyed the 2 for 20 Bourbon Chicken and Shrimp with boneless honey bbq wings for an app. No problem subbing potatoes for the reds . Food was excellent, service was great. You just can't beat the 2 for 20 deal. The only small critique is that although we were lucky to get a booth on the outside with a light over it the booths across the aisle from us were eating in near total darkness. read more

Worst steak I've ever had at a restaurant that I can remember. I think it was just heated in a microwave and it came precooked with grill marks. I don't know that for a fact but that's my guess. Ordered food from here through GrubHub....what a mistake as usual! If I could give them ZERO stars I would! Ordered Bacon Cheeseburger and Fries...Received NO fries. Ordered a Quesadilla Burger with NO lettuce and sauce on the side...Both lettuce and sauce came on the burger...dripping soggy lettuce..not edible. Called and talked to the manager (Todd) who said not their responsibility, it is the GrubHub drivers job to check the food prior to leaving with it. Check my food?! How?! Lift the bun and look at my burger...wth?! I called GrubHub who called this manager (Todd) who refused to issue a refund or any type of reimbursement. GrubHub in good faith offered me a $5 credit. Mistakes happen but making customers pay for them is unacceptable! Paying $40 for a partial order of food worth maybe $20 (tops) is not good, but then to be told....too dam bad you didn't get your food or we didn't care if you cannot eat lettuce and sauce on your burger, we put it on so deal with it. NOPE Id pay 3x as much for a burger to never have to deal with some arrogant "manager" who manages by robbing customers. BAD! read more

Waited 15 minutes before we could ask for a refill on a soda, had to ask three times for hot sauce and all our waitress did was set it on the table and walk away without checking in or saying anything, asked for a medium rare steak and got a well done so we pressed the "call server" button and our waitress walked right past us, then another waitress said that I had asked for "medium well" (which I did not), then another 20 minutes to get the replacement. Wow. Where to start? I know it's Applebee's, so I am already not expecting much, but my family's last visit there was horrible. They have a new menu, which is very disorganized and hard to figure out what is going on inside of it. They no longer serve the Riblets, which is the only reason I have ever gone there in the first place. So, I decide try the rack of ribs instead. Unfortunately, they were out of ribs too! So I ordered the sirloin steak which was supposed to be 6 oz, but looked more like 4. (I would have ordered the 8 oz steak, but it was $3.99 more for two more ounces!) It was easily one of the worst steaks I have ever tasted. Tough, salty, and just very "odd" tasting. The mac and cheese (which I paid extra for) was extremely bland. My wife had garlic mashed potatoes with her entree, and she immediately wondered if they forgot the garlic after tasting them! Her entree was the double crunch shrimp which were just dry and hard. My kids had Kraft mac and cheese and french fries and were lucky enough to have the best meal between the four of us! Will never go back. read more
