This location in Ashland KY. is pretty hit and miss. I have eaten here and had a good meal and I've eaten here and had a not so good meal. This particular time it was good and bad, their special right now is all you can eat Riblets, boneless wings or fried shrimp. I started with boneless wings in sweet Asian sauce and they were really good. I asked for a round of Riblets and they were so dried out and tough that I couldn't eat them. We had a great waitress, who even though she had two large groups other than us, checked on us frequently and was quick to get refills. It was a snowy evening so there weren't too many people dining but it still was pretty noisy for some reason. Pathetic... decided to try this location again but as a pickup )we know inside is nothing but rude loud music and cursing staff) and upon arriving home with the bag there was an entire meal missing. I call and Stephanie says that the missing food isn't their fault yet the bag was packed by them and supposedly QC'd by them. Sad when they can't even take responsibility for their own mistakes. I love Applebees!! It's the perfect place to go with friends. They have great appetizers. The spinach dip, pretzels with beer cheese, and the chicken won ton tacos are incredible! (Note: Do not get the chicken won ton tacos to go because they do get soggy very quickly and are best eatin as fresh as possible). They also almost always have the 2 for $20 and 2 for $25 deal where u can get 2 entrees and 1 appetizers so you can eat very affordable for good quality. This place is just like any other applebees, they are pretty cheap for a steakhouse type place and have an excellent variety, almost anyone can find something they like here. I am particularly fond of the boneless wings, which are second only to buffulo wild wings around here. If you go for lunch be sure to get the tomato basil soup, I would eat there just for this even if everything else was horrible. I think they're sort of know for their grouchy servers, though occasionally you'll get a really good one. They have a 2 for $20 deal as of this writing as well as half price appetizers at certain times and a $5.99 all you can eat soup, salad and breadstick deal before 4pm. They are very cheap compared to other similar restaurants in the area and, in my opinion, better than many of them. read more
