Came here because 3rd Generation Tacos was established inside. It is however a very clean and well kept airport from the looks of things. There is a nice picnic/ Bbq area with two built in grills adjacent to the main building. It looks to be a very small municipal airport.

Overpriced lemonade was mostly ice

The 2015 Apple Valley air show was a blast! This was our first time attending. Adults are $5, kids under 12 are free. There's plenty of free parking. This was an awesome event for a low price. The only caveat is that you are in the middle of nowhere, hot, thirsty, and hungry. They are smart and know you will spend money on all of the food and concession stands! Pro tip: bring sunscreen and folding chairs! We couldn't stand the heat any longer, so we stopped at the Snowie stand first. For $5, we got a large icee and added our own flavors. Our favorites were lemon-lime, pina colada, and watermelon. It was cooling and refreshing and really hit the spot. There were two announcers doing a play-by-play for each pilot that was performing stunts for the crowd. They were telling us interesting tidbits about each plane - one of them flies equally well upside down or right side up! Different planes and pilots performed various maneuvers to entertain the crowd. Some of the planes would fly straight up towards the sun, stall, then fall back down to earth before recovering excitingly at the last second! We also saw numerous barrel rolls and spins. There were lots of activities available, including rock climbing, bounce house, and plane and car displays. My son and I took a neat picture with a helicopter! I got a $5 lemonade from a lemonade stand and it wasn't worth it - it was mostly ice! I also paid $4 for a cold hot dog. The overpriced food didn't dampen the experience though. The plane stunts were quite entertaining, and after all, that's what we were there for.

Great place to hang out & watch planes take-off & land. The restaurant is closed, so pack a picnic basket & watch from the semi covered grassy bbq area. FREE WIFI, really clean restrooms!! Don't laugh, I took a photo of the commode because I like the revolving seat cover at the push of a button. I belong to The Apple Valley Fit Club, Gary is a Health Coach with P90X. We currently walk 3 miles in the vicinity of the Airport.every Tuesday Gathering between 6pm & 6:30p The Airport has their own stray who definitely keeps a watchful eye out. He will give you that :Why are you talking to me, you idiot" look when you greet him/her. Next door to the South is Chp Aviation Unit, North is Midfield Aviation & further North west is the Walmart Logistics Facility (warehouse to us simple minded)

When I was flying on a regular basis, I used Midfield Aviation. Nice people.

This place is definitely tucked away and unassuming from the outside but this is such a cool spot!…read more We took a trip 3 hrs from home to attend a birthday indoor skydiving event and though we didn't know what to expect we were guided through the whole process by a super cool instructor named Amberly. She gave us a little training beforehand and then we all made our way to the tube. I've been legit skydiving before but this experience is different for sure! I'd totally love to come back and get more time in the tunnel and learn to do the awesome tricks Amberly showcased for us! Afterward we got to see video and photo of our flights as well. For $17 you can purchase an additional "high flight" during your time in the tunnel. After we finished up flying we headed around the back towards the pool area where across, they also have "The Bombshelter" which is a super cool little restaurant that serves a ton of different things to munch on! There was tons of photos of skydivers, and old photos of instructors all over the walls to look at and admire while you wait. The day we came was a day an event was also taking place for skydiving so it was popping and tons of people were about and diving so it was really cool to watch that while we ate and swam! Definitely a cool experience! My daughter keeps saying she wants to go again and even real skydiving!! Shoutout to Amberly who's such a badass! Keep it up girl!

Well. That was WELL worth the money. I honestly thought it was a steal of a deal if you ask me…read more Mike and his team were more than I could have asked for - in so many ways. His training, explaining and safety prep was comforting. He obviously knows his stuff and has been doing this for a very very long time. Just the interaction and education would have been enough for me - throw in the multiple 5-gs and every maneuver that plane was capable of - FIVE STARS from me!! I WILL BE DOING THIS AGAIN!! Thank you for making me feel alive, it was such a blessing. Ps. Girls, this isn't only for guys. Get out there and DO IT!!!!! We all know you want to

How often do you have the opportunity to board a small open hangar craft and feel the wind blow by you as you soar over the world beneath you?! Not often at all. Mike was our pilot. He must be one of the friendliest guys I've ever encountered in quite some time. He gave us some nifty leather caps and a mic set so we could talk and hear from each other throughout the flight. You can tell Mike really gets a kick out of the joy others experience through flying with him. What I appreciated the most about this experience was how the plane was constructed. The biplane allowed my girlfriend and I to experience the whole flight together. I hiiiighly recommend giving Skythrills a try. Treat yo self!!!!!!
