    The infamous 17th island green.

Made the drive from Auburn on a Saturday morning (about 2 1/2 hours). We had played there ten years ago on a road trip and wanted another shot at this course. We took Hwy 410 for the view and it was gorgeous. Arrived at 10 AM and the clubhouse was more impressive than I recall. The staff was more than courteous and professional - they were friendly, eager to please and had a smile on their face! The carts (red, of course) were new, the tee boxes were clean and well marked and the course was in GREAT shape. The greens were fast, but not too fast, and the course a great and interesting challenge. For a weekend morning it wasn't very busy. We only saw the marshal once, the cart girls three times and the sunshine all day. Wide open golf. I was a bit leery about our return trip after reading reviews here on Yelp. I'm so glad we gave Apple Tree another try! As avid golfers willing to travel a bit to expand our horizons we were so pleased to once again acquaint ourselves with the infamous Apple shaped island green (I was the only one to make the putting surface in one shot! 158 from the blues in to a slight breeze - six iron). Had a great burger in the restaurant after the round and consoled the friend who lost four balls in the water on the signature hole. (Oh the PAIN!) Make the trip ... you'll never forget it! At $89 all in it's a real treat.

Solid 4 stars (based on money to experience route). Tee'd off early which was partly a problem due to me being a single. I booked the night before and was surprised I even got on. I played through 5 greens crew so basically the greens for me always changed fast (cut and packed) to soaking wet (still needed the morning hworks). I flew through 18 in under 3 hours shooting my personal best 81. I was very pleased to par the infamous 17th *** I would still rate four stars with a later tee time. Just seemed a little over priced at 70 dollars

Excellent food. 5 stars, but took 55 minutes from ordering our food to arrival. Only 5 other tables. Bizarre. Good prices too :)

We quickly decided that this is a place we will be coming back to! It's literally an indoor golf campus with five or six simulation Stations where you get to choose between what seemed like hundreds of different courses and play them with as many or as few people as you'd like, for a predetermined amount of time. They've also got a putting green, and you can bring your own clubs or rent some there. We grabbed one of the stalls for two hours, and five of us had a great time! The set up is pretty quick and you can make it so you can save your information and follow yourself overtime. It's pretty cool to be able to develop a handicap on the simulator! I've got a full bar and basically Gastropub type food. The bacon cheeseburger that I had was quite good, as were the shared nachos, wings and cheese curds. Prices are not outrageous and the beer and liquor selection was actually pretty solid. The place is super relaxed and the service was quick and friendly. This is a spot that I will be back to with friends, and probably a spot I will take my boys to practice. The place chill enough that it's the sort of place you can take kids, your significant other, or meet up with a bunch of buddies. It was nice to not be rowdy, but also to not have to be quiet like on an actual golf course.

They do a really nice job here of utilizing what they have and maximizing the opportunities. They've got men's leagues, women's legs, kids golf, night time golfing and plenty of lessons. They've also got Club rentals and a small pro shop. For anybody who plays golf on any regular basis, the longest club you will use is probably a six iron and that's maybe once. Most of this played with an eight iron or shorter and is a really good opportunity to hone in your short game. You definitely can't beat the price here either. Currently, nine holes is seven dollars and while the place can get pretty backed up, it's a really good place to go practice, learn or just get out and have a shorter than average walk on a golf course. The greens and fairways are all kept up remarkably well here and while their claim that they have the best greens in Yacama may not be completely true, they are definitely not the worst. It's a spot where they really take pride in how the place looks and it shows! This place is definitely worth checking out, and if you're a seasoned golfer, you should definitely consider going on a day when it's slower so as to keep the waiting to a minimum.
