I'm not even sure why I'm reviewing this place. I have read over 20 review and if one thing is consistent, it's the bad service. All the way back seven years! Ya'll I bought a turkey avocado sandwich, a small potato soup and a drink. When I walked in he young girl stood in front of the register. "What can I get you"? I had never been in before I asked what is your favorite soup? She look back at the menu and mumbled something. Clearly she didn't want to talk. I finished ordering my lunch. Usually they will hand you the cup but she just went about helping the next person. Ok fine moved on. I sat down to eat and conversation with my friend.) I met friends here for lunch on a Friday. We ordered our meals then they were brought to our table. We filled our own drinks. We had to crowd six chairs around a small table, so I wish they had larger tables or, even better, comfy booths. The sandwiches were fresh and delicious. Will not use this location again! We had a company meeting and ordered lunches from them. We sent the order in the day before and followed up the morning of our meeting and were told they had it and would have it there. When we started to pass out the lunches, we were missing 5 meals. We called the store and they did nothing. They didn't offer to bring us the missed meals. When asked to speak to the manager we were told she was out on deliveries and couldn't be contacted. (Really? Who doesn't have their cell phone with them all the time, especially a store manager?). We asked to have the manager call us ASAP. Our employees who didn't get a lunch had to leave the meeting to go and find food which was very inconvenient and disruptive to our meeting schedule. We didn't hear back from the manager until we'll after our meeting had ended. They backed out the charges for the missed meals and the tip but nothing else. Our Admin said it would be nice if they would give those who didn't get a meal a gift card for a free lunch. She hesitantly agreed and brought gift cards with no amounts on them to our office 3 days later. When we called to get the amount on the cards we were told $10.99 which is the cost of the least expensive boxed lunch. You can't event get a salad for that price (which some of the missed meals were). When other caterers mess up they do everything they can to make it right. They drop and bring the missed meals and usually throw in a tray of cookies or brownies or something. We have even had some go so far as to give us discounts on our next order along with the fixes. This wasn't even a thought for this location. Very poor customer service for sure! read more

My colleague recommended this place for lunch, and I was surprised to find out that you can actually sit down and eat here. For all the years I've been driving by this place, I thought it solely offered catering services since that is all that's advertised on their windows and sign. For less than $10 I got half of their Chicken croissant sandwich and a cup of their Tortilla soup. Both very delicious! The eating area was clean, open, and pretty inviting. The staff was both extremely friendly and accommodating. A few of the people I was with had problems with their orders (missing side salad, Potato Soup tasting funny) and the staff showed no trouble at all to help out! If you are considering Apple Spice Junction to cater your wedding or event please read this review first. We secured apple spice to cater my daughters wedding dinner last month. My daughter was married at 4 PM in the afternoon. The venue told them that they could arrive at that time to set up. They told me prior to that day they would be there at 4:30. They did not arrive to the venue until 5:40 PM. My daughters wedding dinner was to start at 5:30 PM. In speaking to the catering manager she told me the server tried to call me at 5:10. No calls were placed to my phone, my husbands, or my daughters phone. I was actually trying to call them at that time to see where they were but their establishment closes at 5 PM. I was not able to reach anyone! At this point I had over 65 people waiting for dinner! And the caterers were nowhere in sight. My husband was considering going down the street and ordering pizza at that point. The hostess of the venue went out to the parking lot to look for the caterers and found them at 5:40 pm just sitting in the parking lot. When entering the venue one of the servers dropped the tossed salad and contaminated it. He then ran to the store to buy more salad. No one was able to eat until the food was set up which took about 30-45 mins. At that point we started without the salad we couldn't wait any longer. My daughters open house was to start at 7 PM and this was a dinner for family and friends who attended the wedding. So as you can see it through the whole day off. They were trying to change out table cost after the dinner while guests were coming to the open house it was awful and very unprofessional. The food was cold from the very beginning. The grandma of the bride went through the line 1st with my nieces husband and they both said their food was cold. I've talked to several other family members since that day and when I asked how their food was they said it was cold!!! My husband and I ate last & our food was cold as well. I couldn't even eat anything except for the roll. Not only were they an hour and 10 minutes late the food was cold and not what we ordered. We requested baked potatoes and they brought rice pilaf. Then proceeded to blame me for that in speaking to the catering manager Jody. When we went to a food taste test prior to the wedding none of us cared for the rice pilaf. In no way shape or form did we request that that be served at my daughters wedding. The catering manager told me that she would be present to our event, she was not there! When I asked why she was not at our event she simply told me she had other things to do. My daughters wedding was on a Friday night & one of the servers from Apple Spice told me that I would get a call from the manager on Monday morning and that he had been in touch with her. I tried calling several times that next week when I didn't hear from them, but did not hear from her until a week later. She was very rude when we spoke and tried to make excuses for all the things that went wrong & blame me for some of the issues as well. She was very rude and very unprofessional & was trying to intimidate me but I would not let her. One of the women that also came to serve food was pouring the fruit infused water into the drink dispensers and In that process she spilled it all over the table cloths on the food table and all over the floor. The hostess of the venue had to get a mop and bucket and clean it up. My niece told her she needed to pour it faster because it was spilling all over the place. We were charged $.69 per person for the fruit infused water, which is really ridiculous because every other caterer we checked with the drink were included at no extra cost. The whole thing was bad from the very beginning! The servers who were there from Apple Spice told us that the catering manager had double booked weddings that day. And that they had prepared the other food and then began preparing our food right after that. So apparently there shouldn't have been two weddings booked on the same day. If you're considering them to cater your child's wedding or a function think twice. Be sure to go to a more professional establishment that caters the food that you requested and that it is warm or hot when it's served. Do not waste your time or money with this cater!!! It ruined our day and was embarrassing. How would Jody feel if this was her daughters wedding dinner and it happened to her! The manager of our Venue was so upset that Apple Spice came so late that she called them and told them they needed to allow more time in traffic on a Friday night as well. She called and let me know that she had done that. I did not ask her to. I think she felt bad because she was the one that recommended them to us. You know it must be bad if the venue manager calls with a complaint to the caterer as well!!! Go with a more professional cater! So very disappointing! Not what you want at your daughters wedding!!! How long does it take to put soup in a container?? Great food, but don't bother with online ordering. We were running late and needed a quick lunch on the way back to the office. Placed an online order, two bowls of soup, so we could run in an grab it on the way. When we got there they hadn't even checked the printer where the online orders came through. Two other people came in, ordered, got their food, and left. Turns out they forgot about our order. My work has used Apple Spice Junction to cater different events for many years. The sandwich boxes are usually our go to. The bread is always soft and delicious. I like that they bag the pickle separate. Today we had fruit cups added, instead of pasta salad. It was all grapes, which I was excited about- until I opened it to find the bulk of them were bruised and mushy. We've had the salad bar catered as well. This is what I'd recommend for large groups where you don't know what everyone wants. They have a yummy green goddess dressing, which is always a hit. They always have soft chewy cookies for desert. About once a week I get a craving for the delicious salads and sandwiches at Apple Spice. The portions are huge and are easily shared. The food always tastes delicious and I come away satisfied. If you call in an order, they have it quickly ready for pick up or you can even have it delivered if you have time to wait, which my office has done from time to time. Not counting the tip). I brought my laptop to use the free WiFi and it took 35 minutes to just connect. Kind of sucky if you only have 1 hour lunch. Jody is a sweetheart and is willing to do anything to make it great. They catered my wedding, a real nice rosemary chicken, mashed potatos, green salad, mixed steamed veggies and bread. WONDERFUL COST. I researced and researched my options this was the best priced and turned out absolutely delicious. All my guests wouldnt stop raving about how great the food was. They have catered for my company before, done burgers, sandwichs, ect and the catering is always above-par. The dentist office I work at orders lunch from here quite often. I am usually satisfied but today was different. My sandwich was good but the side of veggies they gave me was wimpy. I wish I took a picture before I took the three baby carrots, one cherry tomato, one piece of broccoli, and two olives out. The celery that was in my bag wasn't even green. It was droopy and white. Ordered lunch from Apple Spice junction as part of a work event. Got the Vegetarian Executive Lunch box that comes with a vegetarian sandwich, a small cheese cake, veggies with a dip and chips. The quality of the sandwich was good, with fresh veggies and a good cheesecake and dip. The bread was too sweet to my liking though. Also, it is a cold sandwich with complete raw ingredients. I had always thought this place was a furniture store until my girlfriend told me we needed to check it out. I was deciding between the Turkey Avocado or the Curry Chicken. They were out of avocado so it made my choice a lot easier. I actually didn't really like my sandwich, but it was my own fault really. Had a lot of onions and was served cold... had I decided to read the menu, I would have seen that. The curry was good, but would have preferred it hot. They were very polite and professional on the phone and let me know that it wouldn't be a problem. I finished placing the order online. Apple Spice has wonderful salads and soups, but I was a little disappointed in the sandwich. I got the Turkey Avocado and it had only two thin slices of turkey and I struggled to find the avocado. Their bread was quite sweet as well. The service is very good, as are the prices. I got their peanut butter chocolate rice krispy treat on recommendation from the cashier and it was yummy but INCREDIBLY sweet, even for a rice krispy treat. Don't come here if you want to get some work or homework done, the entire time I was there, there were children screaming and lots of business people trying to talk over them. I had headphones in and the volume up and still struggled to focus. This is a good choice if you are looking for something healthy and decently priced to go or for a catering event. I had a coupon for Apple Spice Junction and decided to try it today. This was my first time eating there. I was greated by a friendly employee that helped explain their menu. I decided to try their Office Favorite Sandwich. The Office favorite had turkey, roast beef and ham on it. It normally came on their 13 grain bread. I did not want the 13grain bread and ask if I could have it on something different. They offered me a choice of sourdough bread, honeywheat bread or a croissant. I choose the honeywheat bread. The lunch came with a side of pasta salad, potato salad, or frogeye salad. I did not want any of those choices. The employee offered me a couple of additional choice, one being a side of fresh veggies with ranch dip or fruit. I choose the veggies. The service was very fast. We had only been sitting for a couple of minuets and the lunch was brought out. I am glad I choose the honeywheat bread. It was delicious. The veggies for the side were fresh and crisp and the ranch dip was delicious. My overall experience with Apple Spice Junction was very good. The employee was friendly and offered me soultions to the items I wanted that were different than what was normal for them. All and all a good value for $7.29. read more

I made a yelp account just to let people know how terrible Apple Spice Junction is. My office ordered (6) of the lunch boxes at about 11:50 am and were told it would be ready in 15 mins. So we got there at 12:15. The lady at the front informed us it wouldn't be ready for another 30 mins. We waited the extra 30 mins and then they informed us they wouldn't have it ready for a while more. At that point we were all getting pretty upset, so the manager said she would personally deliver them to our work when they were done. We didn't get our food until 2pm. 2 god damn pm. But you know what? I can look past that. But the food was unacceptable. All the orders were ordered with wheat bread. But because they ran out of wheat bread, they just decided to put sourdough on all of them instead of letting us know they ran out and asking us what we would prefer. Not only that but I asked for a fruit cup with NO honey dew because I'm very allergic. What comes in my fruit cup? Only honey dew. All of the bread was soggy and the veggies were not fresh at all. As for the cheese? It's just a slice of nasty old kraft singles. Plus it was expensive for how shitty it was. All in all, it tasted like an elementary school lunch. I work for a cemetery and we had this place cater in for a family luncheon. The amount of food provided was pitiful. The family paid 90.00 for a veggie tray to feed 30. I could have gotten nearly twice as much spending 30.00 at Smith's. When we called the company they said "Yes that is the large tray. There is enough for each person to have 2 vegetables each." Just to clarify that is one celery stick and one cucumber slice or cherry tomato per person. Their 45.00 worth of punch was sufficient to give 15 people a small glass 4 oz of punch each. We were embarrassed that we used this company for the family and we will never use them again. To be fair the fruit and cookie trays could have fed 20, with a single cookie or brownie per person and 4 pieces of sliced fruit per person. read more
