First, I have to say I took some time deciding to get my eyebrows tattooed. I was not impressed with some of the quality of work out there and was hesitant to go with something that may fade from trend especially since I go with a natural look which suits my personality and profession. I also desires an eyelash enhancing tattoo to help with one less thing in the morning. I looked into Ms. Grove's work and finally decided to call. I told her my thought was to go with filling in the more lateral part of my brows with a powder look however upon sending pictures and discussing my skin type, she recommended nanoblading. We discussed face shape and color however she was very clear this would be tentative until we were able to meet in person and plan out the tattoo. The website was easy to use to register for the tattoo appointment and her in-depth instructions were perfect for what was needed to get optimal color uptake and healing. The day of: Ms Grove welcomed me into her studio and made sure I was comfortable. Upon clarifying any questions about the intake forms, she offered me a blanket and she and I mapped out my brows. This started by cleaning the area and selecting the color that best suited my skin tone. This included my under tones and over tone. We discussed how long my brows should be to make sure I was comfortable and that the angle was appropriate with my forehead and eye muscles and where the angle landed on my brow bone. I made sure to tell her that I was planning on getting Botox as well which played into our follow up appointment. This part took some time and she patiently mapped out the thickness for the brows. Topical anesthetic was applied and after a short break we started the tattoo. The were constant rechecks to follow the pattern of the hair. We then tackled the other side and made sure the thickness of hair was mirrored. We completed the eyelash enhancer tattoos in a similar fashion all the while Ms Grove remained clean, patient, and professional. Minor touchups were again performed on the eyebrows during which time she made sure I was not in pain and applied more anesthetic. The result after the first session was spectacular. As per her warning, there was swelling which was managed with ice and frequent micellar water application (put some soaked cotton circles in the fridge) as per her recommendations. At the follow up, extra layers of hair were placed for a more natural look. All in all, I am elated with result of my brows and lashes and the professional I selected. Ms Grove is honest, clean, respectful and is a true artist. Her passion for this craft comes through in every way she approaches you as a client and I have recommended her to all my family and friends. read more

Overall, the experience left me feeling uncomfortable with the provider due to the undue pressure and rushed atmosphere. I expressed my intention to leave a negative review based on my experience, which prompted a verbal outburst from her. I was taken aback by her unprofessional behavior. She called me a viper! All because I said I would share my negative experience. She will NEVER take responsibility for mistakes (Gaslighting) and is quick to victim blame.. if all goes well - great - if things don't then you can expect hostility and verbal abuse. Not a true professional. read more

Amelia is truly Amazing! She's a Perfectionist with her professional skills, & I'm so happy with my new brows!

I drove down from Tampa thinking someone with Amelia's accreditation had a bit more experience and talent. Salon is small but nicely furnished and clean. I explained what I wanted IN DETAIL and showed her several magazine photos...definite arch with a longer tail (think Elizabeth Taylor), to give the illusion of more space for my close-set eyes. I also told her what I didn't want...no rounded-looking brows to make me look like an owl. I specifically said, "Not like yours; they're very rounded". Before we even started, there was also some confusion about the cost. She spent a lot of time 'mapping' and did stay a bit later to, at least, get some strokes done before I left. I asked for charcoal, as my brows are very dark, but she didn't have that color. There was hardly any pain and very little bleeding, and she immediately applied more of the topical anesthetic when I asked. I was given one small packet of cream to apply, with instructions to use very, very little, after cleaning the brows with micellar water makeup remover. My second appointment was rushed, and I've ended up with spots where the ink is very light or missing. Sorry, Amelia, but when one has a one-woman operation like yours, you need to make other arrangements for your children. Was this done because the first appointment took more time or was this to get me back for more work for an additional charge? No, I won't go back...ever. Most importantly, I wanted brows that were even...mine are not. The arch on one brow is further out than the other, and one tail is longer than the other. I wasn't prepared for her shaving part of my brows. I asked about removing a couple of places where the strokes were turning inward toward my eyes, like what I didn't want...rounded. She said she doesn't have anything to remove a mistake. Makes it appear that Amelia can only do one shape and that's 'rounded'. If you like that, you'll have it. If you intend to patronize this business or another one like it, make sure to look at the person's brows who will be doing the work...you may end up with something like theirs, so make sure you like what you see. read more

I've always had my cosmetic work done in Manhattan, an island which boasts a lot of talent. But Amelia beats all. Her work is vastly superior, in part because she's gifted, but also because she's incredibly precise, disciplined and thorough. This is a practitioner who is seriously passionate about her craft, about bringing beauty to fruition. And the results reflect her vision and her commitment. The lip blushing outcome is beyond anything I could have expected. Amelia also happens to be a delightful, warm and thoroughly engaging person. An all-around uniquely positive experience. read more

So impressed by this little gem! Amelia was fantastic and treated my stepmom like a queen! She's so sweet and genuine, making her feel at ease while she worked her magic! For my stepmom- she typically wears little to no make up, keeping a more natural look. When we heard that Amelia offers permanent make up solutions we were intrigued! My stepmom decided on getting her eyebrows and eyeliner done- it looks FANTASTIC! It really does look natural and subtle but beautiful! I highly encourage any woman who has been interested to go see Amelia and let her work her magic! You will love this new take on your everyday look! Ask about her Nano blading- it's so much better than micro blading! read more

*Coming from somebody who did a FULL FACE transformation, which is- ombré brows, eyelash enhancement line, lip blush* 1. EYEBROWS As a teen, instead of going to a professional, I took the matter in my own hands and plucked my own eyebrows, WHICH unfortunately resulted in some of them never growing back. Now, let me tell you- meeting Amelia was a blessing sent from God! She changed my eyebrows from being too thin, over-plucked and over-trimmed to being beautiful, thick, and symmetrical! I woke up feeling beautiful. Best decision ever! *see the picture added* 2. EYELASH ENHANCEMENT LINE I just love how the line refines my eye! The procedure was quick and the pain was bearable (a little pinching/ tickling here and there, but nothing too bad at all!) You won't regret getting it done, it enhances the eye & eyelashes perfectly. *see the picture added* 3. LIP BLUSH Before the procedure, my lips were dull and... just boring. Now- once again- they are refined, vivid and juicyyyy! Speaking from my experience, the outlining caused minimal discomfort, but all was worth it at the end for sure. The shading was not painful at all, btw. Ticklish at times, but pleasantly ticklish, if that makes sense. *see picture added* Oh, and you definitely have to check out Amelia's color range!! She has sooooo many colors that there is just NO WAY you won't find the color you like for your own lips/ eyelash lines/ eyebrows. Plus, she will examine them for you and tell you which color would look best in you, too. AND she will also check on you every other minute to see if you're doing well and if you need anything :) Great customer service, I had an amazing experience. I can't help but give Amelia 5/5 for everything she's done for me. Thank you!! read more
