The rooms are all ensuite and air-conditioned, and I found the beds comfy. Those at the back are rather quieter, not that Boulevard Victor Hugo gets a lot of late-night traffic. Free wifi access is provided, and the TV has BBC World News (and German and Spanish channels). The location is pretty good: It's a five minute walk into the historic centre of town, with several bars and restaurants located next the hotel. There's the normal Ibis buffet breakfast on offer at EUR7.50, or you can go to one of the bars nearby for a coffee and croissant if you prefer. On our visit the bar was closed for renovation, though I can't see why you'd want to use it with so many authentic French bars nearby. Friendly staff who speak some English. There's a car park at the rear, and it's a 15 minute uphill walk from the railway station. The bus and trolleybus stops in Place Winston Churchill are only a few minutes away.

The service and facilities were brilliant and at around 130 euros a night it was pretty good value (2 adults and 2 kids) Doesn't look much from the outside, however once you get inside it is a great hotel!

Spacious and always cleaned, courteous staff (helped us with the transport of my hubby's left phone from Paris) and the although the breakfast is always the same selection -all, especially the breads, are always fresh (based on French standards!) Would pay to stay here again if our own place isn't ready yet.
