I decided to stop in, having visited the old Mountaineer Mania several times previously, and was shocked to find an entirely new store inside. The premise of the store is the same, a wide selection of AppState apparel and gifts. But I was impressed to see really nice selections of Nike and Columbia branded apparel at very reasonable prices. I had only planned to purchase a polo but ended up walking out with some other things as well. The sales associate working that day was friendly App student who was able to quickly answer my questions. Overall, a great update to a King St. staple!

We put in requests at the ski resort and a few shops by the slopes to keep an eye out. As expected, we had to pay the fee for the "lost skis" but we're assured if they were turned in we would get a refund. My husband followed up after a week and the skis were not turned in. Several weeks later he got a call that they were located and a refund would be issued within the next 3-4 hours. And it was!! We learned to use Lockard after this experience. But we are so thankful the staff were honest and followed up with us as promised. Highly recommend this company for rental needs.

If you plan to buy clothes here they are a little expensive but the board and ski rental prices are very competitive. They also have a convenient drop box outside so we were able to enjoy the full 3 days we rented and deposited the boards in the drop box after they were closed. Which is nice because you don't have to rush a boarding session to return the boards on time. Over all great place, made our vacation easy and simple and I would definitely recommend. Although we have not been to the other shops near by so take it with a grain of salt but "First track" is a great option in my opinion.

I had a specific need to fill, I wanted a new App State visor, and I wanted the block "A" to be prominent on the front, not any other variation. While other shops had a limited selection of visors at maybe a couple bucks cheaper, this was the only store that had pretty much exactly what I wanted. In addition, of all the stores on King, it had by far the largest selection. Larger than the official team store at the stadium in fact. I bet you could probably find cheaper stuff at Wally World... but support your local businesses on King street and buy from one of them.

The store offers a small throw back to simpler times, selling anything and everything one would need for their household under one roof. They even had a slogan early on of "if you can't buy it here, you don't need it". The store offers homewares (glassware, plates, pots, pans and cast iron), decor, snack items, jelly's/jams, milled products, soaps, gifts, clothing, camping gear, and even barrels upon barrels of candy by the pound. With 2 floors fully stocked of product, it offers a glimpse of how things were in olden times. Pricing on many items is very fare, from what I saw and was able to compare. Staff were all very friendly, checking in as we shopped to see if there is anything we could be helped with. It's a fun store to poke through, with lots of nostalgia
