Our experience was beyond horrific . The company , Navion , that purchased this facility in late…read more2021 is totally about profit NOT about residents . My husband was placed after I was sold a completely false representation of what the facility and their memory care unit , would and could offer a person in the early stages of Alzheimer disease. I was required to hand over a 7,900.00 non refundable community fee in order to secure a room for him based on the representation that rooms were "very difficult to obtain due to current demand. " These were All misrepresentations by the then marketing director to get the contract signed , which provided her a commission on her way out of town where she would move to another Navion facility in Charlotte . My husband was in earlier stages of Alzheimer and my questions and concerns focused around activities for those aware of their surroundings , as well as my concern that he be provided daily access to exercise and brain stimulation . I was told by the marketing director that he would be included in supervised day trips outside of the facility with others weekly , allowed to have free access to walk outside in what was promoted as a "secured/gated area " for daily exercise , and would be involved in stimulating activities based upon his personal cognitive and physical capabilities. I later learned that this facility is not permitted to allow any residents access to the gated area unsupervised , as it was not sufficiently secured . As a result their "promise free access " was actually non existent as the doors were kept locked all the time . Every single representation was false , and his adjustment as well as his state of mind immediately began to deteriorate in this facility . His first care plan meeting did not occur until months into his struggling residency, and after the facility had already collected over 23,000 in fees . The facility began formulating a plan to force him out due to their inability to deliver the care that they had represented before he was admitted . This experience has been beyond traumatic , and is the singular most devastating and emotionally draining experience that I have faced , and continue to deal with . The diagnosis of early onset Alzheimer disease is in itself life changing for victims and families , and the ability of a FOR profit enterprise to prey on the desperation and vulnerability of families dealing with this disease is unconscionable . I hope this information will assist others to investigate far beyond the marketing and sales representations so that they never have to go through what my husband and I have lived .

The administrative staff is wonderful and caring. They recently had some kitchen issues due to being short staffed, but that has been resolved. If my mother needed Skilled Nursing, I would not hesitate to bring her to Glenbridge.

The administration there do not truly care about the residents nor the employees they have. I was an employee at Glenbridge and I reported the neglect that was constantly happening. Employees on 3rd sleep, do not do rounds accordingly and don't answer call lights accordingly. Because of this the residents fall and get hurt and also have skin breakdown. When I reported the neglect with undeniable proof to the DON nothing was done about it and it was allowed to continue to happen. I took the next step and called state and after I did I was retaliated against and bullied by administration. I spoke up for the residents because they deserved better care and because of it I was treated unfairly by administration. Things are done underhanded at the facility such as the heads of nursing paying certain employees out of their own pockets to work in their place when the facility is short staffed. The DON also talked to other employees about things on my background report that those employees were not privy to. When I confronted the DON about this she denied it, took me off the schedule and a couple days later I was wrongfully terminated. If you truly value your loved ones you won't place them in Glenbridge. If you want to work for a good company that values their employees well Glenbridge isn't the place for you to work.

We most highly recommend Scott Warren of Boone Realty. Scott is a veteran realtor and specializes…read morein Boone and surrounding area which is a critical distinction for selling or buying property in the area. I've purchased/sold 4 homes across the country and Boone has unique factors that I've never encountered in any other town. My husband and I inherited a home in Boone NC which we rented out for 14 years. We live in California and haven't seen the place since. We started talking to Scott over a year ago as he guided us through the various considerations to get the house sold in this ever-changing market. Scott checked out the house and provided recommendations on every aspect of the sale including the "do's" and "don'ts" on improvements to the house, time of sale (tricky with a rental), and even suggested we raise the rent before the next cycle (new tenants, new lease) as it was undermarket price . We immediately felt at ease. As we progressed through the process, Scott was super responsive, assisted with every request, and always made us feel like we were treasured clients even though our house was far from "high-end". As we neared the time for selling, the pace picked up. Scott's expertise and experience were invaluable as we encountered various "local" quirks, one being that we had a shared road with multiple neighbors with no shared maintenance contract. He handled every obstacle with ease. We closed on the sale much faster than we expected and within our expected price range. We feel certain had it not been for Scott, we would have had a very different (negative) outcome. As we got to know Scott (virtually), it was clear he's noble, honorable, and cares greatly for friends, clients, and community. We're thrilled we found him. It was an honor to do business with him.
