They make really tasty sandwiches at bargain prices. Mr Gingham's is an excellent place to to buy sandwiches from as they are made fresh for you right there and then and you can choose exactly what fillings you want in your sandwich, roll or bap. Plus they are much cheaper than the pre-packed sandwiches that you buy in supermarkets and convenience stores. Mr Ginghams also sell other types of takeaway food and hot and cold drinks. They have a delicatessen counter and a variety of hot and cold food; sandwiches, samosas, pies, cakes etc which are mostly 'home made'. They sell hot drinks and of course chilled drinks and they are a licensed off licence so sell alcohol (not at night though). They also sell most other things you would expect to be able to buy in a mini supermarket/newsagents like newspapers, milk, bread, cigarettes, tinned food ... basically a selection of essentials. My only complaint is that some members of staff can be really slow at serving customers and don't even seem to realise. It would be nice if they speeded up a bit! Located in Swiss Cottage just by Finchley Road, Swiss Deli is easy to walk to from Belsize Park, Hampstead, Primrose Hill & South Hampstead areas. Car parking isn't a problem in the evening, at night or on weekends but during the day on weekdays I wouldn't bother as you will end up with a parking ticket. At night there are usually a few mini cabs parked outside while the cabbies nip in to grab a bite to eat and a cuppa tea/coffee. This convenience store used to be called Tobins Ltd and was twice the size and really run down, dingy and rather depressing. It's recently been completely refurbished and is now bright, clean and fresh, but a lot smaller. This shop is listed on Qype as Nickel 'N' Dime but the shop front sign says Swiss Deli so I think that is their current name.
